Renames the current ticket. The title changes on the dashboard and the Discord channel is renamed to match.
The bot first applies the server's Command Access rules for /ticket rename and checks that Tickets is enabled ("❌ Tickets is not enabled for this server."). The command only works inside a ticket channel or thread ("No ticket found in this channel."). Only staff may rename: Manage Server, the ticket's staff team or a role given access when the ticket opened. Others see "Only staff can rename tickets." When the panel keeps the ticket actions to the claimer ("Taking a ticket" on 2 Answering), everyone except the claimer, the ticket's owner and server managers sees "Only @<claimer>, who claimed this ticket, or a server manager can do that."
The name option becomes the new title, trimmed to 80 characters. The old and new titles are recorded in the ticket's "Activity log". The bot then renames the channel: it keeps the first part of the current channel name, the part before the first dash (such as "ticket" in "ticket-0042"), and replaces the rest with a lowercase, dashed version of the new title. Renaming ticket-0042 to "Refund request" gives ticket-refund-request. When done it posts "✏️ Ticket renamed to <title>." in the channel.
Good to know
- Discord allows only 2 channel renames per 10 minutes per channel, so the confirmation can take a while when a ticket is renamed often.
- If the channel rename fails, the ticket's title still changes and the confirmation still appears.
- A name set with /ticket rename stays: a later unclaim or reopen does not bring back the name the channel had before a claim or close rename.
