The Change history page lists the changes made to a server's settings, newest first. Open the dashboard, pick the server, then Change history in the sidebar.
Who can open it
The server owner and every manager. Viewers cannot open it.
The page has no level of its own on the Access page. What each person sees follows the pages they can open:
- Owner. Every change.
- Manager. The changes in each area they have Read or Full on: Services, Marketplace and Bot. Managers start with None on Bot, so by default they see the Services and Marketplace changes.
- Changes on the Access page and Start Your Server builds are for the owner only.
What it lists
- Settings saved on a service's pages.
- Services switched on or off.
- Changes on a service's Commands page (Command Access).
- Marketplace plugins: installs, removals, switching them on or off and their update settings.
- Changes on the Bot page, such as the bot mode, the token, the timezone, the reply language or how the bot looks in your server.
- Changes on the Access page.
- Start Your Server builds and restores.
Only changes that went through are listed. A save that was refused or failed does not show up. A save that went through with a warning is marked Saved with a warning.
Reading a row
Each row shows when the change was made, who made it, the service or area and what they did. A change with no member attached shows System. Click a row for the details:
- Changed item: the item the change was about, by its id, such as a ticket panel.
- Details: the fields that were sent and their values. A value longer than 200 characters is cut short and at most 40 fields are kept. Anything that looks like a secret, such as a token, a password or a webhook address, shows (hidden).
- Message shown: the warning the dashboard showed, on a change marked Saved with a warning.
- The Discord user ID of the member who made it.
Finding a change
Pick any of Service, Member, From, To and Search, then click Filter. Search looks for a setting, a value or an id. Clear filters removes them all. The filters stay in the page address, so a filtered view can be bookmarked. The page shows 50 changes at a time; Newer and Older move between pages.
Times
Every time on the page is in the server timezone set on the Bot page, or in UTC until one is picked. From and To are whole days in that timezone, and To includes its own day.
How long changes are kept
Changes are kept for 2 years.
