Opens a ticket without looking for the panel. It works in any channel of the server.
The bot first applies the server's Command Access rules for /ticket new and checks that Tickets is enabled ("❌ Tickets is not enabled for this server."). The type list shows what you can open a ticket for: each panel that is on and posted in Discord, with its buttons in order, as "Panel: Button" (just the panel's name when it has one button). A button or panel you are not allowed to use is left out, by the same rules as clicking it (roles allowed and blocked, staff only).
With a type, the bot does exactly what a click on that button does: the blacklist, support hours, the cooldown and the open ticket limits apply, the questions are asked, and the ticket goes to the team, name and categories the button sends tickets to. Without a type, you get a private message, "What do you need help with? Pick one:", with your choices as buttons (a menu when there are more than five), and you go on from there.
When the server has no posted panel, the answer is "This server has no ticket panel yet, so you can't open a ticket here. Please ask the staff." When none of the panels lets you open a ticket: "There is nothing here you can open a ticket for. Please ask the staff."
Good to know
- The server can turn the command off, or limit it to roles or channels, on the Commands page like any other command.
- A ticket opened this way is counted apart from clicks on the panel, so a button's numbers on Insights still compare clicks with the tickets they opened.
