The Moderation preset limits it to the roles you mark as moderators. Server owners and Administrators can always run it. How Command Access works.

Tickets is granted these permissions by the invite link. A command that finds one missing replies privately with what it could not do and changes nothing.

Behaviour

Checked against the code 2026-10-08

Adds an internal staff note to the ticket in the current channel. The note is stored with the ticket and never posted in the channel.

The bot first applies the server's Command Access rules for /ticket note and checks that Tickets is enabled ("❌ Tickets is not enabled for this server."). The command only works inside a ticket channel or thread ("No ticket found in this channel."). Only staff may add notes: Manage Server, the ticket's staff team or a role given access when the ticket opened. Others see "Only staff can add notes." When the panel keeps the ticket actions to the claimer ("Taking a ticket" on 2 Answering), everyone except the claimer, the ticket's owner and server managers sees "Only @<claimer>, who claimed this ticket, or a server manager can do that."

A form titled "Add Staff Note" opens with a single field, "Internal Note", up to 2000 characters. On submit you get a private confirmation: "📝 Note saved (visible in dashboard only)." The member sees nothing.

Good to know

  • Notes appear on the ticket's dashboard page under "Staff notes", which says that only staff see them. Managers can add one there too, on the "Staff note" tab of the reply box.
  • The transcript saved when a ticket closes includes the notes, marked internal. The transcript card posted when a ticket closes lists up to 5 notes, 150 characters each. The transcript copy DMed to the member never includes them.
  • /ticket transcript includes notes when staff run it and leaves them out when the member runs it.
  • In a ticket by DM, a note is how your team keeps something from the member. With "Goes to the member" chosen under "What staff write in the ticket" (1 Opening, "Tickets by DM"), every message a person types in the ticket is sent to the member by DM. A note never is, and the member's "My tickets" page never shows one.
  • The Note button on the welcome message does the same thing and follows the same Command Access rules.
