A hosted Discord bot with nothing to deploy
YourBot is a hosted Discord bot. You turn services on from a web dashboard and they run on YourBot's infrastructure, with no VPS and no code to deploy.
Search for Discord bot hosting and most results are rented compute: a VPS, a game panel or a container where you upload bot code you wrote and then keep it alive yourself. Deploys, dependency updates and restarts stay your problem. YourBot is the other kind of hosting. The bot already exists, its features are services you switch on and keeping it running is our job.
Nothing to deploy
Every server gets the same ten built-in services: moderation, tickets, group finding, analytics, scheduled events, giveaways, welcome messages, temporary voice channels, announcements and social feeds. They start switched off. Turn one on from the dashboard and it runs on YourBot's infrastructure from that moment, free on the shared bot. There is nothing to install and no runtime to patch. Built-in services update with the platform, and a marketplace plugin picks up new versions on its own unless you switch auto-update off for that install.
You can hand part of this to your staff. The dashboard is split into five areas (Overview, Plugins, Marketplace, Access and Bot) and each one can be set to no access, read only or full access for managers. By default a manager can configure services but cannot open your bot settings.
You can check our work
Hosting promises are easy to make, so ours can be checked. The public status page needs no login and lists each part of the platform on its own, from the website and dashboard through the gateway, bot workers and plugin runner to the database and cache. Each part has a daily uptime bar for the last 90 days. The page refreshes itself every 15 seconds and logs incidents as they are detected, with the last 7 days on the front page and 90 days in the history. You can follow it by RSS or send updates to your own Discord channel with a webhook. It shows what happened rather than a number we promised.
Your own bot, kept running by us
With Premium you can swap the shared bot for a custom bot: your own Discord application with your own name and avatar, running as its own process on YourBot's infrastructure. Each server on a Premium subscription runs its own custom bot, so each one needs its own bot application. You set the name, avatar, online status and activity text from the dashboard, and status and activity changes are pushed straight to the running bot. Your token is encrypted at rest with a key derived for your server, and the dashboard never displays it again.
If the bot's process dies, a watchdog that checks every 120 seconds starts it again. After 5 crashes in a row with no stable five-minute run between them it stops retrying, quarantines the bot and sends a critical alert to your YourBot inbox with the reason and a link to your account page. A token Discord rejects, or privileged intents left off in the Discord developer portal, quarantine the bot on the first failure with the steps to fix it, because no restart can solve either one. The Bot page shows your bot's recent process log, with tokens redacted before display.
Hosting for plugins you build
The same infrastructure hosts plugins you write. Build one with the SDK or with the AI plugin builder, which runs on prepaid AI credits kept separate from any plan. Each plugin runs in its own locked-down container with no network access and a read-only filesystem. Memory, CPU and process counts are capped and every Linux capability is dropped. Web requests go through YourBot's proxy, and only to domains approved when the plugin was installed.
List a plugin on the marketplace so other servers can install it, or set its distribution to private. A private plugin never appears in a catalog, skips staff review and can only be installed by you, on up to three servers. Public releases are scanned and reviewed by staff before they are listed, and a private release cannot publish until its automated scan has passed. Either way YourBot runs the container and you provision nothing. Any marketplace or private plugin needs Premium and a custom bot on the server it runs on.
Public plugins can earn instead of costing you a server bill. Developers keep 70% of each sale, rising to 85% as their sales over the last 30 days grow. Sales are paid through Stripe Connect into the developer's own Stripe account, with payouts after a hold period. The developer docs cover the contract.
What the hosting costs
Hosting is not billed separately. The shared bot and all ten built-in services are free. Premium is billed per server and adds the custom bot and the marketplace, among other things. A subscription includes one server and more servers can be added to it. Marketplace plugins are priced by their developers on top, and the AI plugin builder is paid from AI credits. See pricing for the current prices.
If a renewal payment fails, your custom bot keeps running while Stripe retries it. When a Premium subscription ends, the server moves back to the shared bot and marketplace plugins stop, while the ten built-in services keep running with your settings and data.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a VPS to run a Discord bot?
Not on a hosted platform. YourBot runs the bot and every service and plugin you enable on its own infrastructure, so there is nothing for you to deploy, patch or keep online.
Can I set up a Discord bot without coding?
Yes. You invite YourBot, turn on the services you want and configure them from a web dashboard. Code only comes in if you decide to build a plugin of your own.
Is Discord bot hosting free on YourBot?
Yes for the shared bot: the Free plan runs all ten built-in services with no feature paywalls. Premium, billed per server, adds your own custom bot and marketplace plugins, which are priced by their developers.
Can the hosted bot use my own name and avatar?
Yes, with Premium. A custom bot is your own Discord application, running under your own name and avatar and hosted by YourBot. You change the name, avatar, online status and activity text from the dashboard.
What happens if my bot crashes?
A watchdog checks every 120 seconds and starts a crashed custom bot again. After 5 crashes in a row with no stable five-minute run between them, it stops retrying, quarantines the bot and sends you a critical inbox alert with the reason. A rejected token or missing privileged intents quarantine it straight away, because a restart cannot fix either one.
How do I know the hosting is actually up?
The status page at status.yourbot.work is public and needs no login. It shows each platform component with a daily uptime bar for the last 90 days, refreshes every 15 seconds and lists incidents, with 90 days of history.
Can I host a plugin I built myself?
Yes. Plugins built with the SDK or the AI plugin builder run sandboxed on YourBot's infrastructure. List one on the marketplace or keep it private to your own servers. Either way it needs Premium and a custom bot on each server it runs on.
Can I keep a plugin private to my own servers?
Yes. Set a plugin's distribution to private and it never appears in any catalog and skips staff review, though each release still has to pass the automated scan. Only you can install it, on up to three servers, and each of those servers needs Premium and a custom bot.
