A server on the shared bot can give YourBot its own picture, banner and about me in that server. The new look shows in that server only: every other server keeps seeing the normal bot. Setting a look needs an active YourBot subscription for the server.
Where to set it
Open the dashboard, pick the server, then Bot. The card is How the Bot Looks in This Server.
- Picture. A PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP image up to 8 MB. Square pictures fit best. Click Upload.
- Banner. The same file types and size. Wide pictures fit best, about 5 by 2. Click Upload.
- About Me. Up to 190 characters. Click Save about me.
Transparent areas of a picture or banner turn black. Each change is sent to Discord as soon as you upload or save it. If Discord is limiting profile changes, the dashboard tells you when to try again.
To go back to the normal look, use Use the normal picture, Remove the banner or Clear about me. Going back never needs a subscription.
Who can change it
The server owner, or a manager with Full on the Bot page. A manager with Read sees the card but cannot change it. See Access levels and staff.
Without an active subscription for the server, the card says "This needs an active YourBot subscription for this server." and links to Activate this server. See Billing and plans.
On a custom bot
A server that runs its own bot does not need this card, because the bot's profile is already yours. The card says "This server runs its own bot, so its profile is already yours. Change its name and picture under Bot Identity." See Shared bot vs custom bot.
Good to know
- The card does not change the bot's name.
- The shared bot has to be in the server. If it is not, the dashboard asks you to invite it first.
- Every change shows in Change history.
