Shows this server's rules as a numbered list. Anyone can run it. The reply is visible only to you and comes in your own Discord language; a long list continues in a second message.
Turn on the post option to post the rules in the channel for everyone instead. That needs Manage Server; without it the bot replies "Posting the rules for everyone needs Manage Server. Run /rules without post to read them." The posted rules use the server's bot language, and nobody is pinged by them.
When the server has no rules the bot replies "This server has not written any rules yet."
Good to know
- A server manager writes the rules on the Rules page of the Welcome dashboard: a title and up to 25 rules of up to 300 characters each. The same page can DM them to new members and post them to a channel.
- A server that only ever filled in the older single rules text sees that text, one rule per line.
- Server tags such as {server} in a rule are filled in.
- On the shared bot, rules held for review because they look like spam or a scam are not shown; the bot replies "The rules are waiting for a review and can't be shown right now."
- When the Welcome service is off in the server, the bot replies "The Welcome service is off in this server."
