Opens a locked room to new arrivals again. Same checks as /voice lock: the service must be on, you must be inside one of its rooms and you must own it (or hold Manage Channels or Administrator on the server).
In Discord, the bot sets the @everyone Connect permission to a baseline instead of simply clearing it. It works the baseline out when you unlock, not from how the room was made. It uses the category the room is in now and the server's current choice on the New rooms page, "Who can see and join new rooms". When that choice is everyone who can see the category, the baseline is whatever the room's category sets for @everyone. A room with no category gets no explicit value. When it is only the roles you pick, @everyone stays denied. Roles that the lock changed are allowed Connect again; roles it never touched are left alone.
You see a private reply: "🔓 Room unlocked." The panel updates and its Unlock button becomes Lock again.
Good to know
- Rejects survive an unlock: a member or role you kept out with /voice reject stays out until you run /voice unreject. That includes a role you rejected while the room was locked, unless your remembered list was full when you rejected it.
- Unlock does not change visibility. A hidden room stays hidden until /voice show.
- There is no error for unlocking a room that is already open.
