Takes over the room you are in when its owner has gone. Unlike the other /voice commands it does not need you to be the owner. The service must be on and you must be inside a Join-to-Create room.
The bot checks three things and tells you which one failed: you must be in the room ("Join the room first, then claim it."), you must not already own it ("You already own this room."), and the owner must not be inside ("The owner is still here. Ask them for /voice transfer.").
When the claim goes through the bot records you as the owner, retires the previous owner's control panel with "This room now belongs to {name}.", gives you the owner permissions on the room when Creator owns their channel is on (and removes the previous owner's entry), and sends you a fresh panel when the panel is on for that lobby. You see a private reply: "👑 This room is yours now."
Good to know
- Rooms with no owner at all, shown as "Unclaimed" on the panel, can be claimed by anyone inside.
- With Pass the room on when the owner leaves turned on (the default), a room usually passes to someone inside the moment the owner leaves, so claim is mostly for servers that turned that off.
- The panel's Claim button does the same, and it works for anyone in the room once the owner is gone.
