What the Plugin Builder does

The Plugin Builder writes a working YourBot plugin from a description. You say what the plugin should do in Discord and what its web pages should show, it drafts a plan for you to approve and then writes the code while you watch. Every draft goes through the same validator as a plugin written by hand, and you can run it on your own server in one click before anyone else sees it.

  1. Describe it in the composer, or load a starting point
  2. Approve the plan: the commands, the storage and the dashboard pages, for about a cent
  3. Watch it build, then review the checked draft
  4. Test it on your server, edit it with AI and publish it when you are ready

Open it from the developer portal with the Plugin Builder button, or go straight to /dev/new/ai. What it makes is a normal plugin on the YourBot SDK, the same kind the developer docs teach you to write by hand, so you can download the files and carry on in your own editor at any point.

What a plugin can do

Slash and text commands, event listeners, scheduled tasks, persistent storage, admin settings, leaderboards and mod logs. A plugin can also ship web pages for your members, your moderators or your admins.

Plugins run sandboxed on the YourBot SDK. They reach the internet only through the platform proxy and cannot run system commands or open raw sockets. The Marketplace plugins page explains the sandbox and the permissions a server grants.
