AI builder

Common questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the plugin, approve the plan and review the result, and every step shows you what the plugin will do before it runs anywhere. If you do write code, every draft is a normal SDK plugin you can download, edit and upload as a new version.

My build paused. Did I lose anything?

No. A build that reaches its budget, times out or hits an error keeps the work it already did in Saved builds. Resume it with AI and you pay only for the new work, or download what it wrote and finish it by hand.

The validator found errors. Should I save the plugin anyway?

It is not recommended, because a version with blocking errors cannot be published. Press Fix these with AI on the review, or regenerate with a more specific description. You can also save it, download the files, fix them yourself and upload the zip as a new version.

Why can't I run the plugin on my server?

Plugins run through a custom bot, so the server needs an active YourBot subscription with its custom bot set up, and you need the Manager role there. The server list on the review says which of these is missing. Until then, save the plugin and test it with the Dev Bot for 24 hours.

Will the builder publish my plugin to the marketplace?

No. A plugin only appears on the marketplace after you submit a version for review and it passes. Run it on my server publishes it privately, for your own servers only, with no listing.

Do I get charged when a build fails?

Not for work it never did. A build that fails before writing anything is refunded in full. A build that stops partway is charged for the tokens it used, and that work is saved for you to resume or download. Every hold, charge and refund is listed on the AI credits page.

Can I write the plugin myself instead?

Yes. The builder is optional and everything it produces is a normal SDK plugin. The developer docs cover the SDK, the yourbot CLI, uploading a zip and deploying from GitHub, none of which needs Premium.
