Everything starts in the composer: your description, then the model that writes the plugin, the build budget and whether the plugin gets web pages of its own.
The description
Write what the plugin should do in the Describe it box: what sets it off, what it does, who may use each command and what its web pages should show and to whom. Long, detailed descriptions are welcome and make better builds. The counter under the box shows how much room is left. For example:
Track a configurable list of keywords across the server. When one is posted, log it to a mod channel with a jump link and the author. Admins manage the list with /watchwords and pick the log channel with /watchlog.
The starting points under the box load a complete example you can edit: a leaderboard with a public dashboard, auto-mod with a mod cases page, a welcome greeter with settings, a weekly recap with an archive and a quote vault with a browser.
Pick a model
The model is what writes your plugin. The list runs from the fastest and cheapest to the most capable, and each row says what it is for. A stronger model follows a long description more faithfully and gets fiddly logic right more often, while the fastest one suits small plugins and quick retries. The list updates itself when a newer model ships, and the builder remembers your last choice. Models and budgets lists the models on offer today.
Pick a build budget
Standard, Large or Max. The budget is a length limit, not a quality setting: it reserves room for one writing pass, and the same model writes equally well at every tier. Large sits halfway between Standard and the most the model can write in one pass, and Max is all of it. Each tier shows its size in tokens and its hold for the model you picked.
Standard suits most plugins. Pick a bigger tier when you ask for a lot at once, because a build that runs out of room pauses partway and continuing it costs another pass.
Plugin UI
Plugin UI is on by default. It gives the plugin web pages wired to its real data, such as a public leaderboard, a mod-only cases page or admin settings. Choose one of two styles:
- Quick dashboard. Pages built from the platform's widgets: stats, tables, charts and settings. You can change them later in the visual dashboard editor.
- Design your site. Custom pages that look and feel the way you describe, like your own website, designed for phones first. Pick an accent color and a type style (Modern, Classic, Playful, Elegant or Mono) and add up to 4 images, such as a logo, a banner or a background. YourBot converts and hosts the images, and the site can only use the images you add here. A site has up to 6 pages, and each page can be open to everyone or kept to moderators or admins.
Use the optional box to say what the pages should show and to whom, the way you would brief a web designer. The plan shows every page before the build is charged. Switch Plugin UI off for a plugin that lives only in Discord.
