Draws new winners for a giveaway that has already ended, for example to replace a winner. The command keeps its name; its replies say "draw again". giveaway_id autocompletes with this server's ended giveaways that can be drawn again. You need Manage Server, Administrator or the giveaway host role.
Several things are checked first. The giveaway must be in this server ("Giveaway not found."), must allow drawing again ("Drawing again is turned off for this giveaway."), must have ended ("Only a giveaway that has ended can be drawn again. Status of this one: Live.") and its draw must be less than 30 minutes old: "⏰ It is too late to draw again with this command. It only works for 30 minutes after a giveaway has ended." The 30 minutes count from the first draw; drawing again does not add to them.
count is how many new winners to pick, 1 to 50, default 1. rank is the prize they win, default 1 (the 1st prize). The rank has to exist on the giveaway, or you get "This giveaway has no prize tier with rank 3." The new winners take the first places of that prize.
The new winners come from the giveaway's existing entries. Everyone who already won this giveaway, in the first draw or a later one, is left out, and so are anyone inside the wait for past winners and anyone on the blocked list. Each pick is checked against the member list, so someone who has left is skipped. If too few people remain you see "⚠️ Not enough people left to draw again. Needed 1, only 0 can still win." and nothing changes.
When it works you see "✅ Drawn again: 1 new winner." The results message in the channel is posted again with the new winner list, which pings the new winners, and only they get the winner DM. Winners of the other prizes keep theirs. Two other replies are possible: "The bot drew again, but everyone it picked has left the server. There is no new winner." and "Another draw for this giveaway was already running, so this one did not start."
Good to know
- Draw again on the giveaway's dashboard page does the same within the same 30 minutes, and never draws more new winners than the prize has.
- A prize a winner had to claim and did not can be drawn again at any time: Draw someone else under Needs you on Home or Winners, or on the giveaway's page.
- Drawing again does not reopen entries. Members who never entered cannot be drawn.
- Whether a giveaway can be drawn again is "You can draw again" under After the draw in the builder. A giveaway made with /giveaway create follows the server's "New giveaways allow drawing again" setting.
