Tickets is granted these permissions by the invite link. A command that finds one missing replies privately with what it could not do and changes nothing.

Searches this server's published help articles for the words you type. The reply is private, only you see it.

The bot first applies the server's Command Access rules for /kb search, then checks that Tickets is enabled here ("❌ Tickets is not enabled for this server."). An empty query gets "Type a word or two to search for." Only the first 100 characters of the query are used.

The reply is an embed titled "Articles matching <your words>" with up to 5 articles. Each entry shows the title, the category when the article has one, and the first 200 characters of its text. Best match first: a hit in the title counts most, then a hit in the article's keywords, then a hit in the body. Ties go to the most viewed article. When nothing matches: "No articles match <your words>."

Under the list sits a menu labelled "Open an article". Picking one replaces the list with the full article, up to 4000 characters, with its category in the footer, and counts one view on the Knowledge base page. An article unpublished since the search opened answers "That article is no longer available."

Good to know

  • Draft articles never appear. Articles are written and published on the dashboard's Knowledge base page.
  • A related suggestion runs when a ticket opens. With the Knowledge base page's "Suggest articles when a ticket opens" switch on (it is on by default), the bot posts up to 3 published articles whose title or keywords share topic words with the ticket title and the member's form answers, right after the welcome message. That post mentions nobody. It matches on topic words, not on the article body, so it can differ from what /kb search returns.
  • /kb browse lists the same articles by category.
