What the bot needs

Tickets is granted these permissions by the invite link. A command that finds one missing replies privately with what it could not do and changes nothing.

Lists this server's published help articles by category. The reply is private, only you see it.

The bot first applies the server's Command Access rules for /kb browse and checks that Tickets is enabled ("❌ Tickets is not enabled for this server."). A server with no published articles gets "This server has no help articles yet."

Run without a category, it replies with an embed titled "Help articles": every category that has published articles, each with its count. Articles with no category are counted under "Other". The embed ends with "Run /kb browse with a category to see its articles, or /kb search for a topic."

Run with a category, it lists that category's articles. Start typing in the category option and pick from the list, which shows each category with its article count plus an "Other" entry when uncategorised articles exist. Typing a category's exact name also works. The reply shows up to 10 articles as title, category and the first 200 characters of text; when there are more, the embed says "and N more in the menu below". The menu labelled "Open an article" holds up to 25 articles. Picking one shows the full text in place, up to 4000 characters, and counts one view.

An unknown category answers "No category called <name>." A category with only drafts answers "<name> has no published articles."

Good to know

  • Draft articles never show. Write and publish articles on the dashboard's Knowledge base page.
  • /kb search finds articles by words instead of by category.
