Hands your room to someone who is in it. The member option is the new owner. Same checks as the other owner commands: the service is on, you are inside a Join-to-Create room, and you own it (or you hold Manage Channels or Administrator on the server).
The bot refuses a bot account with "Pick a member.", the current owner with "They already own this room.", and anyone not in the room with "{name} has to be in the room to take it over."
On a transfer the bot records the new owner, replaces your control panel with the line "This room now belongs to {name}." and removes its buttons, and sends the new owner a fresh panel (when the panel is on for that lobby). When the server's Creator owns their channel setting is on, the new owner receives the owner permissions on the room in Discord and your own owner entry is removed. You see a private reply: "👑 {name} now owns this room."
Good to know
- After the transfer the owner commands answer you with "Only the room's owner can do that. If they left, use
/voice claim." unless you hold Manage Channels or Administrator. The new owner can transfer it back. - Rooms also change hands on their own. With Pass the room on when the owner leaves turned on (the default), an owner who leaves a room with people still in it hands it to the first person inside, and the room's chat gets "👑 {name} now owns this room."
- The dashboard's Edit page for a live room offers a transfer to any member of the server, in the room or not.
- The panel's Transfer button opens a member picker ("Who becomes the owner?").
