Voice Channels is granted these permissions by the invite link. A command that finds one missing replies privately with what it could not do and changes nothing.

Sets the user limit of the room you are in. The number option takes 0 to 99; 0 removes the limit. Same checks as the other owner commands: the service is on, you are inside a Join-to-Create room, and you own it (or you hold Manage Channels or Administrator on the server).

The bot edits the channel's user limit in Discord. You see a private reply: "Limit set to {n}." or, for 0, "Limit removed." The control panel's Limit field updates.

Good to know

  • This changes the current room only. To have every new room start with a limit, use /voice prefs limit:5. A server can also set a default limit for each lobby.
  • The panel's Limit button opens a small form asking "How many people (0 = no limit)"; anything that is not a number is refused with "Enter a number from 0 to 99."
  • The dashboard's Edit page for a live room can change the limit too.
