A Path of Exile 2 Discord should be organized around league compatibility, party progression, build goals, and the six-player co-op ceiling. The most important matching question is not whether someone plays PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. Path of Exile 2 supports cross-play. The important question is whether the characters are actually in a compatible league and mode: Forbidden Rites, Runes of Aldur, Standard, Hardcore, SSF, or a specific Private League.
That distinction matters because a generic LFG post can easily look compatible while being impossible in-game. A Forbidden Rites trade-league character cannot simply join a different league's party. SSF disables normal party play and player-to-player trade. Private League members need to be in the same private environment. Hardcore and non-Hardcore characters should not be treated as one roster. Once those compatibility questions are answered, the group can care about act progression, Atlas/endgame goals, boss access, build strengths, and the type of run.
This guide builds a fictional 244-member community called Waystone Assembly. It supports new players, campaign groups, endgame mappers, boss learners, build crafters, trade-league players, SSF discussion, private-league groups, and members preparing for Path of Exile 2's full 1.0 release on December 11, 2026. YourBot organizes the Discord. Path of Exile 2 remains authoritative for characters, leagues, parties, progression, guild membership, trading, inventories, passive trees, skills, Ascendancies, and game-account state.
Start With the Right Path of Exile 2 Community Model
League and mode come before class
As of September 25, 2026, Path of Exile 2 is still in Early Access and is running multiple meaningful environments at the same time.
Forbidden Rites launched September 4 alongside patch 0.5.5. It has a fresh economy, its own challenges and rewards, and remains active until the 1.0 launch.
Runes of Aldur, introduced with Return of the Ancients, also remains playable until 1.0. Its league mechanic was added to the core game with the 0.5.5 update, which also made that content available in Standard.
Standard / Hardcore Early Access hold characters outside the current fresh league economy.
SSF is fundamentally different for Discord matching because Solo Self-Found disables player-to-player trade and party play. An SSF member can still participate in the Discord, discuss builds, attend teaching sessions, and compare progression, but they should not be placed into an ordinary co-op LFG.
Private Leagues are separate league environments created for invited groups. A Private League can be excellent for a Discord event or fresh-economy community, but the listing must identify the exact league.
A class role is useful only after those compatibility questions are settled.
Cross-play means platform should usually be context, not a silo
Grinding Gear Games built Path of Exile 2 around full cross-play and cross-progression across supported platforms. Characters can be used across platforms when the account/access requirements are satisfied.
That makes three permanent LFG silos such as #pc-lfg, #ps5-lfg, and #xbox-lfg unnecessary for most communities.
Platform remains useful for:
- controller/interface help
- platform-specific purchase/support questions
- couch co-op context
- PlayStation microtransaction availability differences
- diagnosing platform-specific bugs
But it is not normally the first party-compatibility gate.
Normal online parties support up to six players
Path of Exile 2 is designed for online co-op with up to six players.
That should be the default maximum for ordinary campaign, mapping, and boss-party templates. A run does not have to fill all six seats; many players will prefer duo, trio, or four-player groups. YourBot should represent the organizer's desired group size rather than forcing every listing to six.
Couch co-op is a separate local feature. It can place two human players on one device/account setup, but Discord should still reason in terms of the actual humans joining the party rather than assuming "one account equals one player."
There is no mandatory Tank / Healer / DPS trinity
Path of Exile 2 classes, Ascendancies, passive trees, Skill Gems, weapons, and itemization create builds rather than fixed MMO party roles.
A group may intentionally want:
- boss damage
- clear speed
- crowd control
- support/auras
- curses/debuffs
- durable front-line play
- minion support
- specific elemental or ailment synergy
But those are build responsibilities, not mandatory queue roles.
Use build archetype, class/Ascendancy, and optional responsibility slots when a group actually cares. Do not force Tank / Healer / DPS.
Progression is a real compatibility gate
Even characters in the same league may not be ready for the same activity.
A useful LFG can ask for:
- league
- Softcore / Hardcore / SSF / Private League
- character level
- campaign act / current quest
- endgame unlocked?
- map/Waystone tier
- target boss or encounter
- first clear / learning / farm
- build archetype
- voice preference
- expected session length
These are self-reported Discord fields. YourBot does not inspect a character or verify a boss clear.
Current live state: Return of the Ancients, Forbidden Rites, and 1.0 ahead
Return of the Ancients launched May 29, 2026 as the final planned major Early Access content expansion. It overhauled the endgame and launched the Runes of Aldur league.
Patch 0.5.5 then launched Forbidden Rites on September 4 with a fresh economy and its own challenge set. GGG's current FAQ says both Forbidden Rites and Runes of Aldur run until the 1.0 release.
Path of Exile 2 fully releases on December 11, 2026 and becomes free-to-play. The Duelist is announced for 1.0 and is not part of the current 0.5.5 game.
That means Duelist, 1.0 league structure, and final release content belong in an upcoming-news workflow, not in current LFG templates.
The Community We Will Build
Waystone Assembly is a 244-member Path of Exile 2 Discord.
- Primary audience: English-speaking cross-platform players.
- Active modes: Forbidden Rites, Runes of Aldur, Standard, Hardcore, and Private League groups.
- SSF members use the community for discussion, teaching, build review, and events that do not require in-game partying.
- Mix: first-time ARPG players, experienced PoE players, campaign levelers, endgame mappers, boss learners, theorycrafters, and economy-focused trade players.
- Recurring activities: campaign progression, Atlas/Waystone groups, boss-learning sessions, fresh-league starts, Private League events, build workshops, and 1.0 preparation.
- Discord roles do not modify Path of Exile accounts, guilds, leagues, inventories, trade access, or character progression.
YourBot's role in the community

1. Create the Foundation With Start Your Server
A Path of Exile Discord can become unmanageable if it creates a permanent channel for every class, Ascendancy, build, skill, boss, league mechanic, map tier, or economy topic.
Build durable categories first, then use threads, forum posts, roles, and templates for changing content.
Copy-ready community brief
Design a Path of Exile 2 Discord called Waystone Assembly.
Community:
- About 245 Discord members.
- Cross-platform PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
- Path of Exile 2 supports cross-play and cross-progression, so do not split LFG by platform by default.
- Mix of new players, campaign groups, endgame mappers, boss learners, theorycrafters, trade players, Hardcore players, SSF players, and Private League groups.
- Current date is September 2026.
- Forbidden Rites and Runes of Aldur are live.
- Path of Exile 2 1.0 launches December 11, 2026.
- Duelist is upcoming with 1.0, not current live content.
Compatibility:
- Online co-op supports up to 6 players.
- League/mode is the first compatibility field.
- Track: Forbidden Rites, Runes of Aldur, Standard, Hardcore, Private League.
- SSF disables ordinary party play and player-to-player trading; SSF members should not be placed into normal LFG parties.
- Private League listings must identify the exact Private League.
- Do not force Tank/Healer/DPS roles.
- Use optional build archetype or party responsibility only when relevant.
- Joining a Discord listing does not create the in-game party.
- YourBot does not verify league, level, progression, boss clears, Atlas state, build, inventory, or trade status.
Roles:
Owner, Administrator, Moderator, Event Host, Build Mentor, Member, New Exile.
Optional mode interests:
Forbidden Rites, Runes of Aldur, Standard, Hardcore, SSF, Private League.
Optional interests:
Campaign, Mapping, Bossing, Trading, Crafting, Build Help, Racing/Events, 1.0 News.
Optional broad archetypes:
Melee, Ranged, Spellcaster, Minions, Support, Hybrid.
Staff and trusted Mentor roles must not be self-selectable.
Channels:
START HERE: welcome, rules, choose-roles, announcements
TOWN: general, questions, screenshots, trade-and-economy
BUILDS: build-help, build-showcase
PARTY: lfg-listings, lfg-forum, events
LEAGUES: league-discussion, private-leagues
ENDGAME: atlas-and-waystones, bossing
UPDATES: poe2-updates
HELP: open-a-ticket
VOICE: join-to-create
STAFF: staff-chat, sentinel-logs, ticket-log
Safety:
- Never request Path of Exile account passwords, email passwords, 2FA codes, backup codes, session tokens, browser cookies, payment details, or remote access.
- Do not allow RMT/account-selling spam.
- Treat fake trade sites, fake SSO/login pages, malicious build tools, and suspicious downloads as security risks.
- Discord moderation is not Grinding Gear Games enforcement.
- Discord roles do not change leagues, guilds, trade permissions, or game characters.
Configure all ten built-in services:
Welcome; Sentinel; Tickets; Group Finder; Beacon Events; Join-to-Create Voice; Announcements; Social Feeds; Analytics; Giveaways.
Path of Exile 2 specifics:
- Group Finder may detect "path of exile" generically as PoE, but the current setup code has no PoE2-specific starter templates.
- Do not keep the generic 5-person Quick Group as the primary PoE2 template.
- Create explicit Path of Exile 2 templates with a normal max of 6.
- Social Feeds already has a curated Path of Exile 2 entry using Steam App ID 2694490.
- Announcements schedules and Social Feed subscriptions require manual finishing steps.
- Keep deletions off on the first pass.
- Preserve current channels and permissions.
- Preview New Exile, Member, Build Mentor, Hardcore member, and Moderator perspectives before building.

Review before applying
Review Channels, Roles, Services, and role-perspective previews before applying anything.
A New Exile should be able to see onboarding, general help, build discussion, and public LFG without seeing staff areas. A Build Mentor should gain the intended teaching permissions without receiving moderation authority.
Keep deletion disabled on the first pass. Read the build report and fix skipped permissions before reorganizing existing channels.
Announcements schedules and Social Feed subscriptions require manual finishing steps.
2. Welcome: Identify League Before Build
Welcome should ask enough to help members find compatible groups without turning onboarding into a character sheet.
A useful sequence:
- Accept rules.
- Receive
Member. - Select the league/mode they currently care about.
- Choose broad activity interests.
- Optionally choose build archetypes.
- Join Group Finder.
Recommended league/mode interests:
- Forbidden Rites
- Runes of Aldur
- Standard
- Hardcore
- SSF
- Private League
A member may select several because they can have multiple characters.
Useful activity interests:
- Campaign
- Mapping
- Bossing
- Trading
- Crafting
- Build Help
- Private League
- 1.0 News
Do not automatically assign Build Mentor, Moderator, Event Host, or guild/trusted roles based on self-selection.
A concise greeting:
Welcome to Waystone Assembly. Pick the leagues and activities you actually play, then use Group Finder for compatible parties. Path of Exile 2 supports cross-play, but league and mode matter more than platform. SSF cannot join normal parties. Never share account credentials, 2FA/recovery codes, or payment information here.
Test: Join with a test account, select Forbidden Rites, Mapping, and Build Help, and confirm only the intended member/interest roles appear.
3. Sentinel: Protect Trade and Build Communities From Phishing
Path of Exile communities share many legitimate external resources: build planners, filters, trade links, forum posts, videos, spreadsheets, and community tools.
Sentinel should therefore avoid a blanket external-link ban.
Prioritize:
- fake trade websites
- fake Path of Exile login pages
- credential phishing
- malicious item-filter or build-tool downloads
- account-selling
- RMT advertisements
- impersonation of moderators, streamers, or GGG staff
- spam and mass mentions
- Discord raids
- suspicious URL shorteners
- harassment and targeted abuse
Use dry-run/logging before enabling aggressive automatic URL actions. Maintain an allowlist only for domains the staff actually recognizes and reviews.
Do not ask members to paste session cookies or tokens so staff can "check" an account.
Discord moderation is not game enforcement.
Test: Post a controlled dummy phishing-domain pattern in a staff-only channel and verify the expected Sentinel rule logs or blocks it without breaking legitimate Path of Exile links.
4. Tickets: Route Private Help Without Becoming Account Support
Useful intake paths:
Community / Guild Application
- Discord display name
- account/character display name only if needed
- primary league
- usual time zone
- activities
- build interests
- acknowledgement that Discord approval does not modify any in-game guild
Build Review Request
- league
- character level
- class / Ascendancy
- build archetype
- current problem
- optional build-guide/passive-tree link
- current progression
- budget range if trade league
- desired outcome
Private Member Report
- Discord member
- message link
- what happened
- screenshot if appropriate
- phishing/scam/security concern? yes/no
Discord / Event Help
- role problem
- Group Finder issue
- event signup issue
- Private League coordination question
Never request passwords, email access, 2FA, backup codes, session data, payment credentials, or remote desktop access.
If a member needs official account/billing help, route them to Grinding Gear Games support rather than collecting account secrets in Discord.
Test: Submit a Build Review and a private Member Report from a test account; verify each reaches the correct staff/mentor group and remains private.
5. Group Finder: League Compatibility Before Six-Player Party Size
Read-only inspection of YourBot's current develop revision shows a subtle behavior:
path of exileandpoeare in the automatic keyword list.- Those keywords normalize to a generic
PoElabel. - There is no PoE2-specific starter-template branch.
- Setup still creates the generic
Quick Grouptemplate with a default size of 5.
So Path of Exile 2 may be recognized generically, but it does not receive a correct PoE2 party template automatically.
Create explicit templates.
Create the first template
Template Name: PoE2 Campaign / Progression
Game: Path of Exile 2
Default Party Size: 6
Default Expiry: 2 hours
Description: Campaign progression group. Require league/mode, act/current quest, approximate level, Softcore/Hardcore status, and voice preference. SSF is discussion-only and should not join normal party listings.
Additional templates
| Template | Target size | Required context |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign / Progression | up to 6 | League, mode, act/quest, level, first-playthrough or speed |
| Atlas / Waystones | up to 6 | League, map/Waystone tier, endgame goal, modifiers/risk |
| Boss Learning | up to 6 | Boss, access/progression, learning/farm, build context |
| Forbidden Rites | up to 6 | Forbidden Rites league, event goal, challenge/progression context |
| Runes of Aldur | up to 6 | Runes of Aldur league, campaign/endgame, crafting/league goal |
| Private League | up to 6 | Exact Private League name, rules, progression, invitation/access status |
The organizer can choose fewer than six seats. Six is the ceiling, not a requirement.
Example live listing
Title: Forbidden Rites — Endgame Maps
Game: Path of Exile 2
League: Forbidden Rites
Mode: Softcore Trade
Target Size: 4/6
Current Players: 3
Progression: Endgame / Waystones
Target: Mid-tier Atlas progression
Builds Present: Melee, Minions, Lightning caster
Need: Any compatible build; tell us if your build heavily depends on party positioning
Voice: Optional
Session: ~90 minutes
Trade: Normal league trade
Notes: SSF characters cannot join. Joining this Discord listing does not create the in-game party; the leader sends the party invite after confirming league and character.
Do not add PC only unless the organizer has a genuine platform-specific reason. Cross-play should normally make platform irrelevant.
Test: Create a six-seat Forbidden Rites listing, fill it, verify a seventh member goes to the waitlist, then attempt the workflow with an SSF test profile and confirm the listing instructions clearly flag the incompatibility.
6. Beacon Events: Schedule League Starts, Boss Learning, and Multi-Party Nights
Beacon is best for planned attendance rather than spontaneous LFG.
Examples:
- new-league launch group
- campaign leveling night
- boss-learning clinic
- mapping session
- build workshop
- Private League launch
- community race
- 1.0 preparation event
A 12-person community night should be described as two parties of up to six, not one 12-player Path of Exile party.
Example:
Event: Forbidden Rites Boss Learning Night
Date/Time: Saturday 8:00 PM
Attendance Cap: 18
Structure: Three parties of up to 6
Hosts: 3
League: Forbidden Rites Softcore Trade
Focus: Boss learning / progression
Requirements: Appropriate boss access or willingness to rotate access
Voice: Optional team rooms
Waitlist: Enabled
A playing mentor occupies one of the six party seats in the party they join.
Beacon RSVP does not:
- create an in-game party
- move a character between leagues
- grant boss access
- provide a Waystone
- verify a build
- invite a member to a Private League
Test: Create a 12-person event split into two parties, assign two hosts, fill it, add a waitlist, and confirm the capacity language prevents members from assuming the game supports one 12-player party.
7. Join-to-Create Voice: Use Six as the Standard Party Ceiling
Create a Join to Create — Party lobby with:
- temporary category
- default limit: 6
- delete when empty: on
- creator ownership: on
- ownership transfer: on
Create a separate Build Workshop / Event lobby with a higher Discord voice limit for teaching sessions where not everyone is in one in-game party.
For Beacon events with multiple parties, use one temporary room per party when voice is desired.
Do not create permanent rooms for every class, league, boss, or build.
Path of Exile 2 has in-game party systems; Discord voice does not create the actual party.
Test: Fill a six-person temporary party room, verify a seventh cannot enter when the cap is active, transfer ownership, then leave everyone and confirm cleanup.
8. Announcements: Treat 1.0 as Upcoming Until December 11
Announcements should distinguish what is live from what is announced.
As of September 25, 2026:
Live
- Early Access
- Return of the Ancients / 0.5 endgame
- Runes of Aldur
- Forbidden Rites event league / 0.5.5
- Private Leagues
- cross-play / cross-progression
Upcoming
- full 1.0 launch on December 11, 2026
- free-to-play full release
- Duelist at 1.0
A useful announcement:
Path of Exile 2 — Current League Check
LIVE:
- Forbidden Rites: fresh event league, runs until 1.0.
- Runes of Aldur: still active until 1.0.
- Runes of Aldur mechanics are now part of the core game in Standard.
UPCOMING:
- Path of Exile 2 1.0: December 11, 2026.
- Duelist launches with 1.0.
When posting LFG, always state your league and mode.
SSF is not compatible with normal co-op parties.
Use opt-in roles such as @Forbidden Rites, @Runes of Aldur, and @1.0 News.
Do not schedule Duelist build workshops as if members can already play the class.
Test: Schedule a staff-only dated announcement with one league role, confirm it fires once, and verify mentions are limited to the intended opt-in role.
9. Social Feeds: Use the Existing Path of Exile 2 Catalog Entry
Read-only inspection of:
mmo_maid/plugins/social/game_catalog.py
shows an existing curated Path of Exile 2 entry:
Slug: poe2
Name: Path of Exile 2
Source: steam_news
Steam App ID: 2694490
Category: ARPG
Use that catalog entry and route it to #poe2-updates.
This is a strong fit because GGG actively posts current Path of Exile 2 announcements to Steam. In September 2026 those posts include Forbidden Rites information, patch announcements, 1.0 registration, and the December full-release announcement.
The inspected Steam adapter uses:
- public ISteamNews
- numeric App ID
- publisher community announcements
- 900-second default interval
Do not claim the feed mirrors every forum thread, hotfix, trade update, support issue, or GGG social post.
Start Your Server can enable Social Feeds, but the actual subscription remains a manual finishing step.
Test: Select the curated Path of Exile 2 entry, preview it in #poe2-updates, confirm no unwanted role mention, and verify the first live item appears in the intended format.
10. Analytics: Measure the Discord, Not the Build
Analytics can help staff understand:
- newcomer onboarding completion
- which league roles are active
- Group Finder usage
- campaign versus endgame listing demand
- boss-event attendance
- voice usage
- Build Help activity
- whether old league channels have become stale
It does not know a member's:
- character level
- passive tree
- DPS
- effective health
- resistances
- inventory
- currency
- Atlas completion
- Waystone progression
- boss kills
- Ascendancy
- trade listings
- league challenge completion
Even if Discord presence data indicates someone is playing Path of Exile 2, that does not expose their character build.
Do not turn message count into a build-quality score.
Test: Generate activity in a normal channel, one Group Finder listing, and temporary voice; confirm expected metrics appear while private tickets/staff areas remain excluded where appropriate.
11. Giveaways: Do Not Confuse a Discord Winner With an In-Game Transfer
Safe prizes can include:
- choosing the next build workshop topic
- temporary Discord cosmetic role
- commissioned community art
- an officially obtained game/supporter code where staff fully understands redemption and regional rules
YourBot does not automatically transfer:
- currency
- items
- stash tabs
- microtransactions
- cosmetics
- supporter packs
- Private League access
Never request a Path of Exile password, email login, 2FA code, account session, or payment information to deliver a prize.
If staff wants to give an in-game item in a trade-enabled league, the actual transfer happens through Path of Exile's game systems and must respect the league/mode. SSF cannot be treated like trade league.
Test: Run a staff-only giveaway for Choose next boss-learning session, confirm winner/reroll behavior, and make the first public drawing similarly low-risk.
Treat League Mode as Part of Every Group Identity
The best improvement Waystone Assembly can make is simple: put league/mode on every actual party listing.
A member saying:
Need help with maps
is not enough.
A useful version is:
Forbidden Rites / Softcore Trade / Waystones / level 82 / learning endgame / 3 of 6.
The same applies to Hardcore, Private Leagues, and Runes of Aldur.
SSF should have visible community support without misleading LFG buttons. Give SSF members build discussion, events such as theorycraft workshops, progression challenges, and social roles—but do not imply that Group Finder can create an in-game SSF party.
Keep Cross-Play Separate From Account and Purchase Details
Cross-play and cross-progression are strong reasons not to fragment the Discord by platform.
However, account and purchase behavior can still differ by platform. Grinding Gear Games' account-system documentation specifically notes that PlayStation purchases can have cross-platform availability restrictions even when the same sub-account is used.
That belongs in support documentation, not in the main LFG architecture.
For party matching:
- league/mode first
- progression second
- party goal third
- platform only when a real platform-specific restriction matters
Do Not Turn Classes Into Fixed Party Jobs
Path of Exile 2's character system is intentionally flexible.
A class and Ascendancy influence the build, but the actual party contribution comes from the full combination of:
- passive tree
- skills
- support gems
- weapons
- items
- buffs/debuffs
- defenses
- player strategy
A Support role can be useful as an optional build interest. It should not become a required healer slot.
If an organizer is assembling a coordinated boss group, let them specify concrete needs such as:
- strong single-target damage
- curses/debuffs
- party buffs
- survivability
- crowd control
- ailment synergy
Those are more useful than forcing MMO labels.
Use Private Leagues for Community Projects, Not as Generic LFG
Private Leagues are a particularly strong Discord-community feature because they create a controlled fresh environment.
Grinding Gear Games supports Private Leagues in Path of Exile 2 across PC and consoles. Organizers can create a league, choose type/duration/capacity, invite players, and crowdfund the league.
That makes them useful for:
- guild/community fresh starts
- challenge events
- trade-restricted community experiments
- races
- group progression projects
But they create a compatibility boundary.
Every Private League LFG should state the exact league name. A member who is not in that Private League should not be allowed to assume they can join because the activity and level match.
Use Beacon for the launch event and Group Finder for parties inside the Private League.
Keep December 11 Planning Separate From Today's Game
The 1.0 launch is close enough that communities should prepare, but not so close that current setup should pretend it already happened.
Good preparation:
@1.0 News- a temporary release-planning thread
- returning-player orientation
- new-player guide review
- launch-night Beacon event
- current build cleanup before the transition
Bad preparation:
- current
Duelistself-role as though it is playable - live 1.0 league LFG
- final-release mechanics stated as current
- promising that pre-release details cannot change
The current Steam page says Path of Exile 2 leaves Early Access and launches free-to-play on December 11, 2026. Re-verify the final league/Standard migration details and any last-minute platform/account changes immediately before launch.
Add a Build Readiness Library Only When You Need It
Waystone Assembly can launch using the ten built-in services.
Group Finder handles today's party. Beacon handles scheduled attendance. Tickets handle private build help. Announcements handle patch/league communication.
A custom plugin becomes useful if mentors repeatedly ask:
What is this member's current build, what content do they say they are ready for, and what changed since the last review?
Before building, search the Marketplace for a maintained solution. If nothing appropriate exists, create Build Readiness Library.

- Mentor-only fields require the configured current Discord role.
- Revoking Build Mentor removes privileged access on the next request.
- Direct record URLs must enforce the same permissions as search/list pages.
- Data is isolated by Discord server ID.
- Exports, if later added, are staff/mentor-only and audited.
Explicit non-capabilities:
- Does not verify a Path of Exile account or character.
- Does not read the passive tree automatically.
- Does not inspect items, stash tabs, currency, DPS, resistances, Atlas, or boss history.
- Does not execute trades.
- Does not create parties.
- Does not move characters between leagues.
- Does not grant Private League access.
- Does not rank players by skill.
- Does not infer readiness from Discord activity.
- SSF status is self-reported and does not enable party functionality.
Acceptance tests:
1. Member creates two build profiles.
2. Member cannot edit another user's build.
3. Mentor searches Forbidden Rites builds needing boss review.
4. SSF profile is clearly marked as non-party compatible.
5. Private League profile shows the league name.
6. Revoking Build Mentor removes mentor-only review fields.
7. Direct record URL cannot bypass authorization.
8. Server A cannot read Server B builds.
9. Archived builds disappear from active search.
10. No workflow requests Path of Exile credentials or session data.
Review, test, and continue through the SDK
Review the generated plan, source, manifest, capabilities, commands, storage, and authorization model before approving it.
Test as:
- ordinary Member
- SSF member
- Private League member
- Build Mentor
- Event Host
- user whose Build Mentor role has been removed
Test direct record access, visibility, cross-server isolation, archives, and exports if added.
Continue development in Visual Studio Code using the current YourBot SDK workflow:
yourbot newyourbot devyourbot dev --watchyourbot validateyourbot doctor
Marketplace publication remains optional.
Passing validation does not prove the build advice is correct or that the authorization model is secure.
Run a Complete First-Week Member Journey
| Scenario | Successful result |
|---|---|
| New exile joins | Verifies, chooses league/activity interests, and sees no staff channels. |
| Forbidden Rites group | Listing clearly identifies Forbidden Rites Softcore and fills no more than the organizer's chosen max of six. |
| SSF member browses | Can discuss builds/events but sees clear warning that normal party LFG is incompatible. |
| Private League group | Listing names the exact Private League before members join. |
| Multi-party boss event | Twelve attendees are explicitly split into two parties of up to six. |
| Build Help ticket | Mentor receives self-reported build details without credentials or account access. |
| Temporary voice | Six-person party room works and deletes when empty. |
| Build profile | Member updates their own profile and Mentor can review only permitted fields. |
| Revoked Mentor | Mentor-only reviews/search become inaccessible immediately. |
Fix confusing league/mode workflows before adding more automation.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many players can be in a Path of Exile 2 party?
Path of Exile 2 supports online co-op with up to six players.
Can PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players play together?
Yes. Path of Exile 2 supports cross-play and cross-progression across supported platforms. Platform usually does not need its own LFG silo.
Can an SSF character join a Discord LFG party?
The Discord member can use the community, but the SSF character cannot join ordinary party play. Treat SSF as discussion/build/progression participation unless the character migrates to a compatible non-SSF environment.
Can Runes of Aldur and Forbidden Rites characters group together?
No. They are different league environments. The listing should state the league before members join.
Does YourBot automatically create a correct PoE2 Group Finder template?
Not in the inspected develop revision. The code can detect path of exile as generic PoE, but there is no PoE2-specific template branch and the generic Quick Group defaults to five players. Create explicit six-player PoE2 templates.
Does Social Feeds already know Path of Exile 2?
Yes. The inspected catalog contains poe2 with Steam App ID 2694490 in the ARPG category.
Can YourBot read my build, currency, passive tree, or Atlas?
Not through the built-in services. The custom Build Readiness Library in this guide is intentionally self-reported in version 1.
Is Path of Exile 2 already fully released?
No. As of September 25, 2026, it remains in Early Access. The full 1.0 free-to-play launch is scheduled for December 11, 2026.
Build Around League Compatibility, Then Let the Build Matter
Path of Exile 2 already provides the game systems for characters, parties, trade, leagues, builds, and progression. The Discord's job is to make compatible players find one another quickly.
Start Your Server establishes the durable structure. Welcome identifies what members actually play. Sentinel keeps a link-heavy ARPG community safer. Tickets create private help paths. Group Finder organizes compatible league/mode parties with the correct six-player ceiling. Beacon scales community events into several actual parties. Temporary voice keeps party rooms from becoming permanent clutter. Announcements and the curated Social Feed keep a changing Early Access game current without presenting December's 1.0 content as live.
Path of Exile 2 remains authoritative for every game-side fact that matters: league membership, SSF restrictions, character level, builds, Atlas progress, bosses, trade, inventories, Guilds, and parties.
Use Start Your Server to establish the Discord foundation. Add Plugin Builder only when a persistent workflow such as self-reported build readiness becomes a real recurring need.
