How plugins are sandboxed
Marketplace plugins never run loose on our servers or yours. Every plugin runs inside its own locked-down container with hard limits it cannot lift.
-
Network-isolated containers
The container has no direct internet access. A plugin cannot quietly phone home or pull in code from the outside.
-
Every request goes through a reviewed proxy
The only way a plugin can reach the web is through a proxy we control. It can only talk to the domains you approve when you install it.
-
Read-only filesystem
A running plugin cannot rewrite its own code or drop files on the system. What passed review is what runs.
-
Memory and CPU limits
Each plugin gets a fixed slice of memory and CPU. A misbehaving plugin gets stopped instead of slowing down your server's bot.
-
Per-server isolated data
A plugin only sees data for the server it is installed on. It can never read another server's settings or history and its stored data is deleted 7 days after uninstall.
