How we checked How we checked these facts: everything this page says about ProBot comes from ProBot's own public pages, not hands-on testing. We compare stable structural facts only and leave anything we could not verify blank. Last verified 2026-10-12.
ProBot is a multipurpose Discord bot. Its homepage calls it a very customizable bot for welcome images, in-depth logs, social commands, moderation and more. Leveling has one of the homepage's four feature sections. Its welcome draws an image with the member's username and avatar over a background you choose, both placed and sized as you like. The welcome text takes variables, including one for who invited the member, and goes to a channel or by DM. Auto-roles, self-assignable roles and a Logs module sit around it. Its leveling gives members a text level and a voice level, with role rewards for either or both, /top leaderboards and a /rank card. ProBot can be used for free, and its Premium comes in two tiers that add features such as Anti-Raid and a personalized bot with your own username and avatar.
YourBot is one bot whose features are services. Ten are built in and run free on every server, and two of them cover the ground on this page. Welcome handles greetings, cards, roles and verification; Analytics handles activity, leaderboards and role rewards. The other eight include Sentinel moderation and Tickets. Premium, billed per server, adds a bot under your own name, the open marketplace and the Plugin Builder.
The short version
- Pick ProBot if levels are what keep your members chatting: a text level and a voice level, each with its own role rewards and a
/topleaderboard. - Pick YourBot if you want the welcome to go quiet during a raid and one menu option to give several roles without a paid plan, or role rewards that look at activity instead of levels.
- If you run both for a while, let only one of them greet new members and hand out each role; ProBot's levels can keep running beside Analytics.
The welcome
Both bots greet new members with variables for the member, the server, the member count and who invited them. ProBot's welcome text goes to a channel or by DM. Its welcome image puts the member's username and avatar on a background image you choose, with both placed and sized as you like, and is sent with the text, before it or to a channel. A goodbye goes to a channel you pick, and the Logs module records members joining and leaving.
Welcome's greeting is text or an embed you design, in a channel and by DM, with up to 25 rotating variants, 24 tags and conditions such as {if user.returning}...{else}...{end}. Its inviter tags come from the Analytics service's invite tracking and print Unknown when the bot is not sure. The card is designed in the Card Studio from 12 templates, with up to 20 text, avatar, image and shape layers, 39 fonts and backgrounds from 54 built-in pictures, your upload or a link. An animated GIF or WebP background makes an animated card, the DM can carry the same card and the goodbye gets a card of its own. A join and leave log gives a line per join with the account age and the member number, and one per leave with how long they stayed.
Roles
ProBot's Auto-Roles give one or more roles to new members. Its self-assignable roles come as reactions, buttons or select menus in Toggle, Give or Take mode. Setting several roles on one option needs Premium.
Welcome gives one or more roles on join, each at once or after its own wait of up to a year, and can take a role away again later, such as a newcomer role after a week. Members already in the server can get them by their own join dates, and returning members get back the roles they held when they left. Role menus come as buttons, a dropdown or emoji reactions in six modes, and one pick can give up to 5 roles. /roles lets members add roles from a list you choose, and every grant goes through a safety check that refuses roles with dangerous permissions such as Administrator. New members can also be held behind a verification gate: a Verify button, a captcha or a web page, with a deadline of up to seven days.
Leveling and role rewards
Leveling is one of the four features on ProBot's homepage. Members earn a text level and a voice level, with a congratulation when they level up. Role rewards can ask for a text level, a voice level or both, replace lower rewards with higher ones and tell the member by DM. /top ranks members by text or voice for a day, a week or a month, /rank shows a member's rank card and /profile a profile card of their own. Chosen roles and channels can be set to earn no XP.
YourBot has no XP, levels or level-up messages. Analytics hands out roles with role rewards: up to 8 conditions on activity, such as messages, voice hours or days active over a window you choose, combined with all or any. The bot grants the role to every member who qualifies, on the reward's own schedule, and can take it back, DM the member and post a notice. Leaderboards rank 12 metrics over 7 to 365 days, voice hours among them. /leaderboard renders a ranked card, and /stats a card with ranks, sparklines and the next role reward. Channels and roles can be left out of recording, and bots are left out by default.
Beyond rewards, the Analytics dashboard shows how the server is doing: members over time, retention by join cohort, voice sessions, the busiest hours and channels that are growing or fading, with a CSV download on every page with a chart. If a level ladder is what keeps your members chatting, ProBot does that and YourBot does not.
Switching
Turn off ProBot's welcome and goodbye before you turn on Welcome's, so nobody is greeted twice. ProBot's variables have matches in Welcome's tags: [user] is {user.mention}, [userName] is {user}, [server] is {server}, [memberCount] is {member_count}, [inviter] is {inviter.mention} and [inviterName] is {inviter}. The inviter tags fill in from Analytics' invite tracking, which needs the Manage Server permission to read invites. Card designs do not carry over, so start from a template in the Card Studio. Add your auto-roles on Welcome's Roles page, rebuild self-assignable roles as role menus or the /roles list and take each role off ProBot as Welcome takes it over. There is no XP to move, because YourBot has no levels: run Analytics setup so it imports up to a year of message history, then set role rewards on the activity you want to reward. ProBot's levels can keep running for as long as your members want them. Pricing has the current terms, and the welcome bots table and the stats and leveling bots table set YourBot beside ProBot and the others.

Frequently asked questions
Is ProBot free?
Yes. ProBot's FAQ says it can be used for free and that some features may require a premium subscription. Its Premium comes in two tiers, which add features such as Anti-Raid and a personalized bot with your own username and avatar.
Does YourBot have levels like ProBot?
No. YourBot has no XP, levels or level-up messages. Analytics' role rewards give a role when a member meets conditions you set, such as a number of messages or voice hours over a window, and its leaderboards rank 12 metrics, voice hours among them. If text and voice levels are what keep your members chatting, ProBot is built for that.
Can I keep ProBot for levels and use YourBot for the rest?
Yes. YourBot's services turn on one at a time, so Welcome and Analytics can run beside ProBot's levels. Let only one bot greet new members and hand out each role, so nobody is greeted twice or gets a role from both.
