Updated September 2026
A good WARDOGS Discord should help players find reliable teammates, organize community-server sessions, coordinate vehicles and logistics, keep up with rapid Early Access changes, and give server administrators a clear place to manage their community. YourBot can build that foundation with Start Your Server, then handle the recurring Discord workflows through its ten built-in services.
WARDOGS entered Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026. BULKHEAD and Team17 describe it as a tactical All-Out Warfare FPS built around up to 100 players split across three teams fighting over a randomized Control Zone. The game mixes infantry combat, vehicles, logistics, construction, destruction, proximity voice, and an economy where players buy their own loadouts and earn cash through useful team actions.
That makes WARDOGS unusually community-driven. It also makes a generic “FPS Discord” insufficient.
Community-hosted servers are already live, BULKHEAD has explicitly called them important to the game’s long-term community, and the September 14 Patch 0.11 reworked the server browser to give Community Servers their own browser, text search, persistent server IDs, and better discoverability.
This guide builds a fictional community around that model.
Editorial disclosure: This guide is published by YourBot.gg. WARDOGS facts are based on current BULKHEAD, Team17, Steam, and official Steam Community material. YourBot-specific behavior is based on current product behavior and read-only repository review. WARDOGS is in Early Access and may change quickly, so game systems, server tools, economy rules, maps, vehicles, and moderation features should be rechecked after major patches.
What Makes a WARDOGS Discord Different?
WARDOGS is not just a 100-player shooter with a Discord attached.
Its current design creates several separate community needs:
- Three-team large-scale matches
- A moving Control Zone objective
- Persistent cash between matches
- Loadouts purchased each life
- Cash rewards for teamwork such as revives, transportation, and objective play
- Vehicles and logistics
- Player-built positions such as forward operating bases
- Proximity voice chat
- Official and Community Server browsers
- Community-hosted servers with local administrators
- Rapid Early Access patches and balance changes
The Steam page explicitly says there is no single required way to play. A player might fight in the Control Zone, snipe from distance, transport teammates, deliver supplies, build a forward position, operate vehicles, or join a dedicated squad.
That means the Discord should organize around play styles and community workflows, not invent rigid game classes that the current official documentation does not establish.
Current WARDOGS facts that affect your Discord
As of this guide:
- Early Access began September 10, 2026.
- WARDOGS is currently on PC through Steam.
- The launch trailer says consoles are planned for 2028.
- Matches support up to 100 players across three teams.
- The three factions are Lonestar, Valkyra, and Manticore.
- The core mode revolves around controlling a randomized 2×2 km Control Zone inside a larger battlefield.
- The first team to 100 points wins.
- Every new player begins their WARDOGS journey with $10,000.
- Players buy weapons, equipment, and vehicles from their persistent cash pool.
- Teamplay actions can generate cash.
- The Early Access build includes proximity voice.
- Community Servers are available through approved hosting providers.
- Patch 0.11 split Official and Community servers into separate browsers and added Community Server search and persistent IDs.
Do not freeze your Discord around exact weapon lists, vehicle unlock levels, cash rewards, or balance numbers. Those are precisely the kinds of things Early Access changes.
The Community We Will Build
This guide uses a fictional WARDOGS community called Forward Line [FWD].
Forward Line has about 250 Discord members and serves two purposes:
- A general WARDOGS community for finding teammates, learning the game, and following updates.
- A community-server group that rents and administrates its own WARDOGS server.
The server welcomes:
- New players
- Infantry-focused players
- Medics/revive-focused players
- Logistics players
- Drivers
- Pilots
- Builders/FOB-focused players
- Long-range/recon-style players
- Community-server regulars
- Volunteer server administrators
- Event organizers
These are Discord interest labels, not official WARDOGS classes.
That distinction matters because WARDOGS currently emphasizes player choice and purchased equipment rather than a fixed MMO-style role composition.
YourBot Services We Will Use
| YourBot service | WARDOGS use |
|---|---|
| Welcome | Verification, region roles, play-style interests, server notification roles |
| Sentinel | Spam, scam links, exploit advertising, harassment, raid protection |
| Tickets | Community-server reports, ban appeals, admin applications, general support |
| Beacon Events | Community-server nights, training, vehicle nights, tournaments |
| Group Finder | Players or squads forming now |
| Join-to-Create Voice | Temporary squad, vehicle, logistics, and training rooms |
| Announcements | Server seeding windows, maintenance, weekly operations |
| Social Feeds | WARDOGS Steam publisher announcements |
| Analytics | Discord participation, voice usage, retention, channel usefulness |
| Giveaways | Optional community prizes and events |
Step 1: Build the Foundation With Start Your Server
Start Your Server can create or reorganize Discord channels, categories, roles, permission overwrites, starter content, and supported YourBot service settings.
For an existing WARDOGS Discord, make the first build additive. Do not remove current LFG, admin, or server-information channels until the replacements have been tested.
Copy-ready Start Your Server prompt
Create or reorganize this Discord server for a 250-member WARDOGS community
called Forward Line.
WARDOGS is a tactical large-scale FPS currently in Steam Early Access.
The community serves both general players and a rented WARDOGS Community Server.
Create onboarding with:
- welcome
- rules
- how-to-play-with-us
- verification
- region roles
- play-style interest roles
- community-server notification roles
Region roles should include:
North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Other.
Play-style interest roles should include:
Infantry, Revive/Support, Logistics, Driver, Pilot, Builder/FOB,
Long Range, and Flexible.
Treat all play-style roles as interests only. Do not present them as
official game classes or skill certifications.
Create public channels for:
general discussion, new-player help, loadouts, economy discussion,
vehicles, logistics/building, clips, official updates, LFG, events,
community-server information, server rules, and after-action discussion.
Create private staff channels for:
server admin coordination, reports, ban appeals, incident review,
event planning, moderator applications, and moderation logs.
Configure Welcome, Tickets, Sentinel, Beacon Events, Group Finder,
Join-to-Create Voice, Analytics, Announcements, Giveaways, and Social Feeds.
Use a Join-to-Create lobby for temporary squad and vehicle voice rooms.
Keep one permanent Community Server Admin voice room.
Do not create permanent channels for every weapon, vehicle, map, or economy
strategy because WARDOGS is in Early Access and those systems can change.
If this Discord already exists, do not delete or rename the current live
structure during the first build. Stage the replacement beside it so staff
can test permissions and member workflows before cutover.

Do not create roles named after every current gun, vehicle, or progression level.
The game is five days into Early Access at publication. Those details will change faster than your Discord should.
Step 2: Configure Welcome Around Region and Play Style
Open Plugins → Welcome.
WARDOGS currently launches on PC, so platform selection does not need to dominate onboarding.
Region is much more useful.
Recommended flow
- Verify
- Choose region
- Choose play-style interests
- Choose notification roles
- Read Community Server rules if applicable
Example welcome message:
Welcome to Forward Line.
We are a WARDOGS community for players who want organized teammates,
community events, and an actively moderated Community Server.
Verify below, choose your region and play-style interests, then check
#group-listings for people playing now.
Play-style roles are Discord interests only. They do not lock you into
a WARDOGS loadout or certify skill.
Why play-style roles instead of classes?
The current Steam description emphasizes player choice.
A member might spend one life as infantry, the next driving a vehicle, then spend another building or transporting players.
Keep the Discord flexible enough to reflect that.
Future console support
WARDOGS currently launches on Steam PC, while the official launch messaging says consoles are planned for 2028.
Do not add PlayStation/Xbox recruitment infrastructure today unless your community has a real reason to prepare it.
When console details become concrete, review:
- cross-play support,
- account systems,
- server access,
- community-server compatibility,
- voice,
- platform-specific controls.
Then update onboarding.
Step 3: Configure Sentinel for an Early Access FPS Community
WARDOGS’s rapid growth and Early Access economy create a few moderation risks that deserve special attention.
BULKHEAD’s Patch 0.11 announcement explicitly states that economy exploit abuse can lead to sanctions and distinguishes reporting an exploit from promoting or teaching abuse.
Your Discord should make the same distinction.
Recommended moderation rules
Use Sentinel to help control:
- Spam
- Mention floods
- Phishing
- Fake WARDOGS downloads
- Fake beta or giveaway links
- Cheat advertisements
- Exploit farming advertisements
- Unauthorized community-server promotion
- Harassment
- Hate speech
- Staff impersonation
- Raid behavior
Start new automated rules in observation or dry-run mode where practical.
Make exploit-reporting policy explicit
A good rule is:
If you discover a suspected exploit, report it privately. Do not publish step-by-step instructions that teach members how to abuse the economy or progression systems.
Create a private Ticket category for exploit or vulnerability reports.
Do not let Discord become the place where a cash exploit turns into a tutorial.
Game enforcement and Discord enforcement are separate
BULKHEAD can sanction WARDOGS accounts.
Your Discord team can:
- remove messages,
- timeout members,
- ban someone from the Discord,
- ban a player from your Community Server if you have the relevant game-server admin authority.
Those are separate systems.
Document which staff role owns each decision.
Step 4: Use Tickets for Community-Server Administration
WARDOGS Community Servers are one of the most important reasons to build a serious Discord around the game.
BULKHEAD’s official September 8 announcement listed three approved hosting partners:
- QONZER
- BisectHosting
- xREALM
The same announcement encouraged players concerned about bad actors to use Community Servers where local admins can respond immediately.
That makes Tickets especially useful.
Recommended panels
Player report
Ask for:
WARDOGS / Steam name
Approximate date and time
Community Server name
What happened?
Relevant player name
Evidence or clip link
Any witnesses?
Do not promise that every report results in a ban.
Community Server ban appeal
Ask for:
Steam / WARDOGS identity used on the server
Approximate date of action
Reason shown or explained
What happened from your perspective?
Why should staff reconsider?
Keep appeals separate from public chat.
Admin application
Ask:
Region
Typical availability
WARDOGS experience
Community moderation experience
Why do you want to help?
How would you handle suspected cheating?
How would you handle a friend violating a rule?
An accepted form can grant a limited Discord role such as @Admin Applicant or @Trial Admin.
Do not automatically grant full Community Server administration from a form acceptance.
Step 5: Use Beacon for Scheduled Community Sessions
Use Beacon Events when attendance planning matters.
Good WARDOGS events include:
- Community Server Night
- New Player Orientation
- Vehicle Practice
- Helicopter / Transport Night
- Logistics and FOB Workshop
- Objective Play Training
- Server Seeding Event
- Community Tournament
- Admin Town Hall
- Patch Discussion
Example: Friday Community Server Night
Title: Forward Line Friday
Category: Other
Location: Forward Line Community Server
Signup:
- Playing
- Maybe
- Joining Late
- Server Admin
Do not set a Discord event capacity to 100 simply because a WARDOGS match supports up to 100 total players.
Your Community Server may be shared with public players, other teams, and walk-ins.
Use an event limit only if your community is genuinely managing a capped participant list.
Example: Logistics Workshop
Signup options:
Learning
Teaching
Driver
Pilot
Builder / FOB
Flexible
These are community roles for the session.
They are not official permanent classes.
Time-zone handling
WARDOGS already has an international audience, and the official maintenance posts publish schedules across many regions.
Let Beacon use Discord’s timestamp display so members see the event in their own local context.
Step 6: Create WARDOGS Templates in Group Finder
YourBot’s current Group Finder auto-detection list does not include WARDOGS.
Create the templates manually.
Do not invent a squad-size limit
Current official material confirms dedicated squads exist but does not establish a clear published maximum squad size in the sources used for this guide.
Do not hard-code “WARDOGS squads are X players” into your permanent Discord documentation until BULKHEAD publishes or stabilizes that rule.
Use a community-defined group size for the specific session.
Template 1: Control Zone Group
- Game:
WARDOGS - Activity:
Control Zone - Region: NA / EU / APAC
- Party size: organizer-selected
- Experience: New / Casual / Experienced
- Join mode: Open
Example description:
Objective-focused group.
Community Server: Forward Line #1
Mic preferred.
Happy to teach newer players.
Looking for people willing to stay together and play the zone.
Template 2: Logistics Group
Useful fields:
- Region
- Server
- Drivers needed?
- Builders needed?
- Transport focus?
- Voice required?
- Start time
Example:
Logistics-focused group for tonight's Community Server session.
Looking for drivers, transport pilots, builders, and flexible support.
Template 3: Vehicle Group
Create one flexible vehicle template rather than permanent Discord channels for every current vehicle.
Example:
Activity: Vehicle Crew
Vehicle plan: decided in game
Experience: Learning / Experienced
Voice: Required
Template 4: New Player Group
Title: New Players Welcome
Experience: New
Join Mode: Open
Description:
We'll explain the economy, Control Zone, server browser, vehicles,
revives, and basic teamplay while we play.
Template 5: Community Server Seeding
Title: Help Seed Forward Line
Activity: Community Server
Starts: Now
Expiry: 1 hour
Description:
Join Forward Line through the Community Server browser.
Server ID: [current persistent ID]
Stay as long as you like.
Patch 0.11 made Community Server IDs persistent across matches and restarts, which makes a Discord server-information post more useful than it was at launch.
Useful experience labels
New
Learning
Casual
Objective Focused
Experienced
Vehicle
Logistics
Step 7: Use Join-to-Create Voice Without Replacing Proximity Voice
WARDOGS already includes proximity voice chat.
That is important.
Discord voice should complement the game, not erase one of its tactical communication systems.
Use Discord voice for
- Forming the group before joining
- Community friends who want persistent voice
- Admin coordination
- Training sessions
- Vehicle crews
- Logistics teams
- Events
- Post-match discussion
Let in-game voice handle
- Nearby players
- Situational communication with players outside your Discord
- Immersive local interaction
- Tactical coordination that depends on proximity
Recommended YourBot setup
- Lobby:
➕ Create a Squad Room - Category:
Temporary Squads - Name template:
🎧 {display_name} - Delete when empty: enabled
- Creator ownership: enabled
- Auto-transfer ownership: enabled
- Owner control panel: enabled
Members can rename rooms to:
- Objective Group
- Logistics
- Helicopter Crew
- New Player Help
- Vehicle Team
without cluttering the server permanently.
Step 8: Use Announcements for Seeding, Maintenance, and Weekly Plans
Start Your Server can enable Announcements, but the schedules themselves are created manually.
Weekly Community Server message
**Forward Line — This Week**
Friday: Community Server Night
Saturday: Vehicle / Logistics Workshop
Sunday: New Player Session
Use #group-listings for groups forming today.
Use #event-signups for scheduled sessions.
Server seeding reminder
Forward Line Community Server is seeding.
Open the Community Server browser and search:
Forward Line
Server ID:
[server ID]
Join when you can. No minimum stay required.
Maintenance message
If your hosting provider or admins schedule maintenance:
**Community Server Maintenance**
Expected start: [Discord timestamp]
Expected duration: [estimate]
This affects the Forward Line Community Server, not the entire WARDOGS service.
That last sentence matters.
A private Community Server outage and an official WARDOGS service outage are not the same incident.
Step 9: Add WARDOGS Official News Through Social Feeds
WARDOGS is Steam App ID 1867240.
YourBot’s Steam News source accepts arbitrary numeric Steam App IDs.
WARDOGS is not currently in the inspected curated Social Feeds game catalog, so configure it manually.
Recommended setup
- Source: Steam News
- App ID:
1867240 - Destination:
#official-updates - Optional role:
@Patch Notes
The current YourBot Steam adapter:
- defaults to a 900-second polling interval,
- requests publisher Steam Community announcements,
- avoids the broad third-party news aggregation feed.
That is a good match for WARDOGS because BULKHEAD is actively publishing:
- patches,
- maintenance,
- server-browser changes,
- launch notices,
- policy updates,
- community-server changes.
Do not treat polling as instant
A 900-second default means the source checks periodically.
It is not a live push connection to BULKHEAD.
For a critical outage, staff may want to post the official announcement manually rather than wait for the feed.
Step 10: Make the Community Server the Centerpiece Without Confusing It With WARDOGS Itself
Patch 0.11 is an important signal for community builders.
BULKHEAD separated Official and Community Server browsers and added:
- Community Server text search
- persistent Community Server IDs
- Show Empty / Full controls
- improved filtering
- a corrected hosting link
The studio also said more community-server features are in development, including items such as favouriting, priority queues, Message of the Day, seeding controls, and team-switching controls.
Those items are planned, not all live.
Build your Discord around what works today.
Create one authoritative server post
Pin this in #community-server:
Server Name:
Forward Line #1
Region:
NA East
How to find it:
Community Server Browser → Search "Forward Line"
Server ID:
[ID]
Rules:
#server-rules
Admin reports:
Use the Player Report ticket
Ban appeals:
Use the Ban Appeal ticket
Seeding:
Opt into @Server Seeding
Maintenance:
#server-status
Update one post rather than letting connection details spread through chat.
Do not promise admin tools that have not shipped
BULKHEAD has discussed continued development of community-server tooling.
Your Discord should distinguish:
- Available now
- Planned by BULKHEAD
- Requested by the community
That prevents a roadmap item from becoming an accidental promise from your staff.
Step 11: Analytics Measures the Discord, Not the WARDOGS Economy
YourBot Analytics can help answer:
- Are new members staying?
- Which regions are active?
- Do seeding pings work?
- Are event nights increasing voice activity?
- Is the logistics channel useful?
- Are new-player sessions attracting newcomers?
- Which channels are dormant?
It does not measure:
- WARDOGS cash
- XP
- kills
- deaths
- Control Zone contribution
- vehicle usage
- revives
- driver income
- pilot income
- team score
- server population
- cheating probability
Do not turn Discord activity into a fake player-performance score.
Recommended exclusions
Exclude:
#mod-log- private report channels
- ban appeals
- automated patch feeds
- staff-only admin discussion
Use Analytics to improve the community experience.
Step 12: Giveaways Should Stay Separate From the Game Economy
WARDOGS has a persistent in-game cash economy.
BULKHEAD has also explicitly stated that in-game cash and gold bars are to be earned through play rather than directly purchased through the game’s Early Access monetization model.
Do not create a Discord giveaway that implies YourBot can award WARDOGS cash, XP, or progression.
Appropriate community prizes may include:
- a legitimate Steam gift card,
- community merchandise,
- hardware accessories,
- sponsor-provided items with clear disclosure.
YourBot Giveaways can manage the Discord-side drawing.
It does not grant WARDOGS progression.
A Complete First-Week Workflow
WARDOGS is still extremely new, so test the Discord before it becomes large.
Day 1: New player
A player joins Forward Line.
They:
- verify,
- choose
@NA, - choose
@Infantryand@Logistics, - opt into
@Server Seeding, - read
#how-to-play-with-us.
No staff channels become visible.
Day 2: Find a group
They create:
Title: NA Objective Group
Server: Forward Line #1
Experience: Learning
Voice: Discord + in-game proximity
Starts: 20m
The listing expires later instead of sitting open all week.
Day 3: Training
An organizer creates:
Title: Logistics and FOB Basics
Signup:
- Learning
- Teaching
- Driver
- Pilot
- Builder
The Discord labels describe the event, not permanent game classes.
Day 4: Player report
A member submits a private report about suspected cheating or harassment.
Server admins review the evidence privately.
The reporter does not start a public accusation thread.
Day 5: Official patch
A BULKHEAD Steam announcement arrives in #official-updates.
Staff post a separate Community Server message only if the update affects their own server.
Day 6: Community Server Night
Beacon handles planned attendance.
Announcements handles the reminder.
Group Finder handles smaller groups forming during the event.
Join-to-Create Voice handles temporary rooms.
Day 7: Staff review
Review:
- verification completion,
- server seeding response,
- LFG use,
- event turnout,
- voice activity,
- Ticket queue,
- Sentinel cases,
- channels nobody uses.
Do not measure success by Discord message volume alone.
Optional Plugin Builder Project: Community Server Operations Board
The AI Plugin Builder is useful when your Discord needs a workflow beyond the ten built-in services.
For WARDOGS, the strongest custom project is a Community Server Operations Board.
The first version should be intentionally manual.
Do not connect it to RCON or a hosting panel until BULKHEAD’s admin interfaces are stable and you have a secure integration design.
Copy-ready Plugin Builder prompt
Create a WARDOGS Community Server Operations Board plugin for YourBot.
This plugin manages Discord-side information for one or more WARDOGS
Community Servers.
Administrators configure:
- Server Admin role
- Moderator role
- public server-information channel
- private incident channel
- optional Server Seeding role
Each server record stores:
- server display name
- region
- current persistent WARDOGS Server ID
- short rules summary
- play-style label
- current Discord-managed status:
Online, Seeding, Busy, Maintenance, Event, or Offline
- optional maintenance note
- optional public announcement
- hosting provider name
- private staff note
Admins can update status from the dashboard or slash command.
Members can use:
/wardogs-server
to view the current public server information.
Admins can use:
/wardogs-server-update
to update the Discord-maintained status.
/wardogs-seed
posts a seeding message and optionally mentions the configured Server Seeding role.
Add an incident record system for Community Server staff:
- incident title
- reported player
- reporter
- timestamp
- evidence links
- staff owner
- status: Open, Reviewing, Actioned, Dismissed
- private notes
Incident records must remain staff-only.
Do not connect to WARDOGS accounts.
Do not read or modify in-game cash or XP.
Do not claim to detect cheating.
Do not issue in-game bans.
Do not connect to RCON, a game server, or a hosting provider in version 1.
Do not store hosting-panel passwords or server-control credentials.
Make it clear in the public interface that server status is maintained by
community staff and is not a live health check unless a future approved
integration is added.
Store all data per Discord server and keep an audit log for admin changes.
Why this fits the built-in services
Use:
- Operations Board for persistent Community Server information
- Tickets for member reports and appeals
- Group Finder for groups forming now
- Beacon for planned events
- Announcements for scheduled messages
- Join-to-Create Voice for active teams
- Sentinel for Discord safety
The custom plugin fills a WARDOGS-specific operational gap instead of rebuilding existing YourBot services.
Future RCON or Hosting Integration: Wait Until the Contract Is Clear
WARDOGS Community Server administration is still changing rapidly.
If BULKHEAD or an approved host later exposes a documented API or stable RCON workflow, a future plugin could potentially read:
- server status,
- current map,
- player count,
- maintenance state,
- selected server settings.
But a safe integration needs:
- approved external domains,
- secure credential storage,
- read/write separation,
- least-privilege server credentials,
- staff authorization,
- audit logs,
- rate limits,
- failure handling.
Do not paste a hosting-panel password or RCON credential into an AI builder prompt or Discord message.
The first version of the Operations Board should remain manual.
Community Rules Worth Adding
WARDOGS has an economy and community-server ecosystem, so rules should be explicit.
Consider:
- No cheating or cheat distribution
- No economy-exploit tutorials
- Report exploits privately
- No XP-farming server promotion
- No phishing
- No fake game downloads
- No harassment or hate speech
- No doxxing
- No admin impersonation
- No repeated Community Server advertising without approval
- No public ban-appeal arguments
- Follow local Community Server rules when playing there
BULKHEAD’s Patch 0.11 economy policy is especially relevant.
The studio distinguishes reporting a problem from repeatedly abusing or teaching it.
Your Discord should do the same.
Common Setup Mistakes
Inventing rigid game classes
WARDOGS currently emphasizes equipment and player choice. Use play-style interests.
Hard-coding a squad size without a current official source
Let organizers choose a useful Discord group size until BULKHEAD clearly documents the final rule.
Replacing proximity voice with Discord
Use both for different jobs.
Mixing official service incidents with your private Community Server incidents
Label status updates clearly.
Publicly accusing suspected cheaters
Route evidence through private reports.
Posting economy exploits as “educational content”
Report privately instead.
Treating planned Community Server features as already live
Patch notes distinguish current improvements from upcoming features.
Letting every LFG listing remain forever
Use short expiries.
Treating Discord Analytics as game performance
It is not.
Building RCON automation before the admin API is stable
Start with manual operations data.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is WARDOGS?
WARDOGS is BULKHEAD’s tactical All-Out Warfare FPS, published by Team17. Its current core experience supports up to 100 players across three teams fighting over a randomized Control Zone.
When did WARDOGS release?
WARDOGS entered Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026.
Is WARDOGS still in Early Access?
Yes. BULKHEAD currently expects Early Access to last roughly one to two years, although that may change.
Which platforms support WARDOGS?
WARDOGS is currently available on PC through Steam. Official launch messaging says console versions are planned for 2028.
Does WARDOGS have proximity voice?
Yes. The Steam Early Access description lists online multiplayer with proximity voice chat.
Does WARDOGS have Community Servers?
Yes. Community-hosted servers are live, and BULKHEAD listed QONZER, BisectHosting, and xREALM as approved hosting partners before Early Access launch.
What changed with Community Servers in Patch 0.11?
The update separated Community and Official server browsers, added Community Server text search, improved filtering, made Community Server IDs persist across matches and restarts, and added additional browser controls.
Does YourBot Group Finder automatically detect WARDOGS?
Not in the currently inspected auto-detection list. Create WARDOGS templates manually.
Can YourBot post WARDOGS updates?
Yes. Configure Steam News manually with WARDOGS App ID 1867240.
Is WARDOGS already in YourBot’s curated game-feed catalog?
Not in the repository revision inspected for this guide. The generic Steam source still supports the game through its numeric App ID.
How often does the Steam feed check?
The inspected Steam source defaults to a 900-second polling interval.
Can YourBot ban someone from my WARDOGS Community Server?
Not through the built-in Discord services described here. A Discord moderation action and an in-game/community-server ban are separate actions unless you later build a supported integration.
Should I build a custom plugin immediately?
Not for basic community operations. Start with Welcome, Tickets, Sentinel, Beacon, Group Finder, Voice, Announcements, Social Feeds, Analytics, and Giveaways. Build a custom plugin only for a real remaining need.
Final Verdict
WARDOGS is one of the strongest fits for a community-first Discord because Community Servers, player-run administration, large matches, teamplay incentives, proximity voice, and rapid Early Access updates are already central to the game.
Build the permanent Discord around those workflows rather than today’s weapon meta.
Use Start Your Server to establish:
- onboarding,
- region roles,
- play-style interests,
- Community Server information,
- LFG,
- event channels,
- temporary voice,
- private admin spaces,
- report and appeal workflows.
Then give each YourBot service one clear responsibility:
- Welcome for onboarding
- Sentinel for Discord safety
- Tickets for reports and appeals
- Beacon for planned sessions
- Group Finder for players forming up now
- Join-to-Create Voice for temporary teams
- Announcements for seeding and maintenance
- Social Feeds for BULKHEAD’s Steam updates
- Analytics for Discord community health
- Giveaways for optional community events
If you operate a WARDOGS Community Server, the Discord becomes more than a chat room. It becomes your recruitment desk, player-support system, event calendar, seeding hub, admin workspace, and long-term community home.
Use Start Your Server for the foundation, then use the Plugin Builder only when your community develops a WARDOGS-specific workflow that the built-in services do not already cover.
