Updated September 2026
A strong Escape from Tarkov Discord should help players find the right raid group, separate PvP, PvE, Seasonal, and Scav activity, teach newer players without overwhelming them, organize map and quest sessions, and distribute patch information quickly without turning the server into one endless LFG channel. YourBot can create that structure with Start Your Server, then run the recurring community workflows through its ten built-in services.
Escape from Tarkov fully released on Steam on November 15, 2025. The game is built around high-risk extraction raids where PMCs and Scavs enter hostile locations, complete objectives, gather loot, and try to extract alive. Since launch, Battlestate Games has also expanded the ecosystem around PvE Zone, seasonal characters, story content, the separate Tarkov: Arena product, and a growing post-1.0 live-service roadmap.
That means “Tarkov LFG” is no longer one simple use case.
A player may be looking for:
- a normal PvP PMC raid,
- a PvE co-op task run,
- a Scav group,
- a Seasonal Character group,
- a new-player map-learning raid,
- a quest-specific squad,
- a boss hunt,
- an event group,
- or players for Escape from Tarkov: Arena.
A good Discord needs to make those differences visible before anyone loads into the wrong profile or map.
Editorial disclosure: This guide is published by YourBot.gg. Escape from Tarkov facts are based on current Battlestate Games, Steam, official Steam Community announcements, and the Official Escape from Tarkov Wiki. YourBot-specific behavior is based on current product behavior and read-only repository review. Tarkov is actively updated, so maps, seasons, event rules, profile behavior, progression systems, and matchmaking details should be rechecked after major patches.
First: Understand Tarkov’s Current Game Modes and Profiles
The most important thing a Discord can do is stop members from treating every Tarkov profile as interchangeable.
PvP Zone
The normal PvP experience is the extraction-shooter core:
- PMCs,
- hostile players,
- AI Scavs,
- quests,
- loot,
- traders,
- extraction,
- risk of losing carried equipment.
Use @PvP as an interest role for members who want the normal competitive raid environment.
Do not treat a Discord role as proof of progression, faction, level, or skill.
PvE Zone
PvE Zone is a separate co-op mode.
The current Steam listing describes it as a co-op PvE mode where players can progress with friends without wipe-driven progression resets.
That makes its community needs different from PvP.
PvE members may care more about:
- quest progression,
- map learning,
- bosses,
- story content,
- co-op objectives,
- long-term progression.
A PvE listing should not be mixed into a PvP queue just because both players want to run Customs.
Seasonal Characters
Patch 1.1.0.0, released in August 2026, introduced the Seasons system and Season One, KORD BREACH.
Battlestate’s current seasonal design uses a separate Seasonal Character profile.
The official patch notes say Seasonal Characters:
- exist on separate servers,
- are independent from PvP Zone characters,
- are independent from PvE Zone characters,
- reset their seasonal progression on the seasonal cadence.
That means your Discord should ask which profile a group is using.
“Lighthouse group” is not enough.
“Seasonal Lighthouse — KORD BREACH” is much clearer.
Scav raids
Scav play deserves its own LFG label because:
- objectives differ,
- risk differs,
- karma matters,
- player expectations differ.
Do not assume a member looking for a Scav group wants a PMC raid.
Escape from Tarkov: Arena
Escape from Tarkov: Arena is a separate product in the Tarkov ecosystem.
The current Unheard Steam Edition expansion includes Arena, but Arena’s match-based combat and progression are not the same workflow as extraction raids in Escape from Tarkov.
If your community actively plays Arena, give it:
- a separate interest role,
- separate LFG template,
- optionally a small discussion area.
Do not mix Arena team formation into normal PMC raid listings.
Current Tarkov Context in September 2026
As of publication:
- Escape from Tarkov is fully released on Steam.
- Steam App ID:
3932890. - Current major update line is post-1.0.
- Patch 1.1.5.0 released September 8, 2026.
- The Seasons system is live.
- Season One is KORD BREACH.
- Seasonal Characters are independent of normal PvP and PvE profiles.
- PvE Zone remains a separate co-op progression mode.
- Battlestate is actively surveying players about the Seasons system.
- Story and event content continues to expand, including specialized locations such as Icebreaker.
Do not build the permanent Discord around the current boss rotation, event modifier, quest chain, or seasonal rule.
Those will change.
Build around:
- profile,
- map,
- objective,
- group,
- time,
- experience level.
The Community We Will Build
This guide uses a fictional community called Safehouse Seven [S7].
Safehouse Seven has about 240 Discord members and includes:
- PvP players,
- PvE players,
- Seasonal Character players,
- Scav groups,
- new and returning players,
- experienced raid leaders,
- quest-focused players,
- Arena players,
- event organizers,
- map mentors.
The server is not a “hardcore-only” clan.
It is a general Tarkov community designed to help people find the right kind of raid partner.
YourBot Services We Will Use
| YourBot service | Escape from Tarkov use |
|---|---|
| Welcome | Verification, profile interests, region, experience, notification roles |
| Sentinel | Scam links, fake login pages, cheat/RMT ads, harassment, raid protection |
| Tickets | Member reports, staff contact, appeals, mentor applications |
| Beacon Events | Quest nights, map learning, seasonal kickoff, community events |
| Group Finder | PvP, PvE, Scav, Seasonal, and Arena groups forming now |
| Join-to-Create Voice | Temporary raid and coaching rooms |
| Announcements | Weekly raid nights, event notices, community reminders |
| Social Feeds | Official Tarkov Steam publisher announcements |
| Analytics | Discord participation, retention, voice usage, channel health |
| Giveaways | Optional community prizes |
Step 1: Build the Discord With Start Your Server
Start Your Server can create or reorganize channels, categories, roles, permission overwrites, starter content, and supported YourBot service settings.
For an existing Tarkov community, keep the first build add-only.
Do not remove the current LFG system until real members have tested the replacement.
Copy-ready Start Your Server prompt
Create or reorganize this Discord server for a 240-member Escape from Tarkov
community called Safehouse Seven.
The community supports:
- PvP Zone
- PvE Zone
- Seasonal Characters
- Scav raids
- Escape from Tarkov: Arena as a separate optional interest
Create onboarding with:
- welcome
- rules
- verification
- region roles
- profile / game-mode interests
- experience interests
- notification roles
Profile interests:
PvP, PvE, Seasonal, Scav, Arena
Experience interests:
New Player, Learning, Experienced, Raid Leader, Mentor
Treat all roles as Discord community labels only.
Do not imply a role verifies player level, Tarkov faction, quest progression,
gear, stash value, trader reputation, or game-account status.
Create public areas for:
general discussion, new-player help, maps and extracts, quests and story,
loadouts, PvP, PvE, Seasonal play, Scav discussion, Arena, official updates,
LFG, events, and after-action discussion.
Create private staff areas for:
member reports, mentor applications, moderation review, event planning,
appeals, and staff logs.
Configure Welcome, Tickets, Sentinel, Beacon Events, Group Finder,
Join-to-Create Voice, Analytics, Announcements, Giveaways, and Social Feeds.
Use Join-to-Create Voice for temporary raid groups.
Do not create a permanent channel for every map, trader, quest, weapon,
boss, event, or season. Use Forums, threads, event posts, and LFG templates.
If this Discord already exists, do not delete or rename live channels during
the first build. Stage the new structure beside them for testing.

Region
Use the broad regions your members actually need.
Do not invent a global region list in the guide and assume it matches current matchmaking routing forever.
Step 2: Configure Welcome Around Profile and Experience
Open Plugins → Welcome.
Tarkov onboarding should answer:
- Which profile are you playing?
- What kind of group do you want?
- Are you learning or leading?
- Which updates do you want?
Example:
Welcome to Safehouse Seven.
Choose the Tarkov profile you currently play:
PvP
PvE
Seasonal
Scav
Arena
Then choose your experience level and notification roles.
Profile roles help members find the right group. They do not verify your
level, gear, faction, trader progress, or account.
Use a mentor role carefully
A community @Mentor role can be useful for:
- map learning,
- extracts,
- basic raid preparation,
- quest guidance,
- communication habits.
Do not imply that a community mentor is part of Battlestate’s official Sherpa program unless that person actually is and you have a reason to state it.
Call your internal program Community Mentor or Raid Mentor.
Test Welcome
Use a normal member account and confirm:
- verification grants only intended access,
- PvP/PvE roles do not expose staff channels,
@Raid Leaderis not self-assignable unless intended,- notification roles are opt-in,
- rejoining does not cause permission escalation.
Step 3: Use Sentinel for Tarkov-Specific Account Safety
Tarkov communities are frequent targets for account scams because members are accustomed to:
- launchers,
- event links,
- giveaways,
- Twitch campaigns,
- game-account pages,
- marketplace discussions.
Battlestate’s current account-safety guidance explicitly warns that staff will never ask for your login or password, recommends 2FA, and tells players to enter credentials only through official Battlestate resources and applications.
Your Discord rules should reinforce that.
Sentinel rules worth testing
- Fake Tarkov login pages
- Fake giveaway links
- Account sale advertisements
- RMT advertisements
- Cheat sellers
- Carry-service spam
- Suspicious executables
- Token/password requests
- Unauthorized Discord invites
- Harassment
- Hate speech
- Mention spam
- Server raid behavior
Start new high-impact moderation rules in observation or dry-run mode where appropriate.
Do not accept “verification” that requires credentials
Your staff should never ask a member for:
- Battlestate password,
- Steam password,
- email password,
- 2FA code,
- launcher session data.
A legitimate Discord verification workflow does not need them.
Step 4: Use Tickets for Reports, Appeals, and Mentor Applications
Useful Ticket panels include:
- Community report
- Harassment report
- Scam / suspicious link
- Discord moderation appeal
- Mentor application
- Event organizer application
- Staff contact
Community report form
Ask:
Discord member involved
Approximate date/time
What happened?
Message links
Screenshots / clip if relevant
What outcome are you requesting?
Suspected in-game cheating
Do not build a public “cheater callout” channel.
A Discord report can help staff manage community membership, but Battlestate controls game-account enforcement.
Ask members to use the appropriate official game reporting tools for in-game cheating.
Mentor application
Ask:
Which profiles do you play? PvP / PvE / Seasonal
Which maps are you comfortable teaching?
What topics can you teach?
Typical availability
How do you handle a frustrated new player?
Do not automatically grant @Mentor on form acceptance unless a staff member has reviewed the applicant.
Step 5: Use Beacon for Scheduled Tarkov Sessions
Beacon is for planned sessions where time and attendance matter.
Good examples:
- New Player Raid Night
- Map Learning: Streets
- Map Learning: Lighthouse
- PvE Quest Night
- Seasonal Kickoff
- Boss Hunt
- Story / Event Run
- Arena Night
- Community Tournament
- Patch Discussion
Example: Map Learning Night
Title: Customs Map Learning
Category: Other
Signup:
- Learning
- Mentor
- Experienced Helper
The description should specify:
- profile: PvP or PvE,
- map,
- objective,
- expected raid pace,
- voice expectation.
Example: Seasonal Kickoff
Seasonal characters exist independently of normal PvP and PvE profiles.
Create:
Title: KORD BREACH Seasonal Kickoff
Signup:
- Playing
- Mentor
- Starting Late
When a future season replaces KORD BREACH, update the event—not the entire Discord architecture.
Example: PvE Quest Night
PvE Zone is especially well suited to planned cooperative progress.
Create:
Title: PvE Quest Progression
Signup:
- Questing
- Helping
- Map Guide
Do not claim the event synchronizes member quest state.
Each member still maintains their own in-game progression.
Step 6: Build Tarkov Templates in Group Finder
YourBot’s currently inspected Group Finder auto-detection list does not include Escape from Tarkov.
Create the templates manually.
Tarkov squad size
The current Official Escape from Tarkov Wiki documents combat groups of up to five characters.
It also emphasizes an important Tarkov reality:
- there is no special teammate HUD identification,
- group members can damage or kill one another.
That makes clear voice and raid planning more valuable than in many games.
Template 1: PvP PMC Raid
- Game:
Escape from Tarkov - Activity:
PvP PMC Raid - Party size: up to 5
- Experience: New / Learning / Experienced
- Join mode: Open or Request
- Expiry: 1–2 hours
Description example:
Profile: PvP
Map: Customs
Objective: Quests + extraction
Time: Day
Experience: Learning friendly
Voice: Preferred
Need: 2 more
Template 2: PvE Raid
Profile: PvE
Map: Shoreline
Objective: Quest progression
Experience: Any
Voice: Optional
Keep PvE listings visibly separate from PvP.
Template 3: Seasonal Raid
Profile: Seasonal
Season: KORD BREACH
Map: Lighthouse
Objective: Seasonal progression
When the season changes, update or clone the template.
Template 4: Scav Raid
Use:
- Activity:
Scav - Short expiry
- Map
- Voice expectation
- Loot / task goal if relevant
Do not mix Scav groups into PMC listings.
Template 5: New Player Learning Raid
Title: New Player Map Learning
Profile: PvE or PvP
Map: Woods
Experience: New
Join Mode: Request
Description:
No speedrun.
We'll cover extracts, landmarks, raid flow, and basic communication.
Template 6: Arena
If the community plays Arena:
- Game:
Escape from Tarkov: Arena - Activity: appropriate current Arena mode
- Separate listing template
Do not use extraction-raid fields that make no sense for Arena.
Use map and objective fields, not weapon roles
Do not create required slots such as:
- Sniper
- Medic
- Assault
unless your specific community wants them.
Tarkov does not require an MMO-style composition.
A better listing tells members:
- profile,
- map,
- raid goal,
- experience,
- voice,
- pace.
Step 7: Use Join-to-Create Voice for Raid Groups
Tarkov benefits heavily from Discord voice because group identification is intentionally limited.
The current official wiki notes that a combat group is not given special teammate markers and friendly fire remains possible.
That makes a temporary raid room useful.
Recommended configuration:
- Lobby:
➕ Create a Raid Room - Category:
Temporary Raids - Name:
🎧 {display_name} - Delete when empty: enabled
- Creator owns room: enabled
- Auto-transfer ownership: enabled
- Owner panel: enabled
Members can rename a room to:
- PvP Customs
- PvE Shoreline
- Seasonal Lighthouse
- Scav Reserve
- Arena
Voice does not solve identification for you
Discord voice helps with communication.
It does not:
- mark teammates in-game,
- prevent friendly fire,
- synchronize spawn,
- synchronize quest state.
Teach members to establish:
- clothing / appearance awareness,
- location callouts,
- movement confirmation,
- regroup procedures.
Step 8: Use Announcements for Community Schedules
Start Your Server can enable Announcements, but recurring schedules are configured manually.
Weekly schedule
**Safehouse Seven — This Week**
Tuesday: New Player Raid Night
Thursday: PvE Quest Group
Friday: PvP Community Raids
Sunday: Seasonal Character Night
Use #group-listings for raids forming now.
Use #event-signups for scheduled sessions.
Season reminder
Seasonal Character players:
Use @Seasonal and the Seasonal Group Finder template.
Seasonal progression is separate from your normal PvP and PvE profiles.
Avoid fake wipe announcements
Tarkov players care deeply about resets.
Do not schedule speculative “wipe incoming” notices.
Use confirmed Battlestate announcements.
Step 9: Add Escape from Tarkov Official Updates Through Steam
Escape from Tarkov is now on Steam under App ID 3932890.
That changes the Social Feeds options compared with older Tarkov guides written before the full Steam launch.
YourBot’s current curated catalog does not contain a one-click Escape from Tarkov entry.
However, the generic Steam News source accepts numeric Steam App IDs.
Configure:
- Source: Steam News
- App ID:
3932890 - Destination:
#official-updates - Optional ping:
@Patch Notes
The current Steam source:
- defaults to a 900-second polling interval,
- requests publisher Steam Community announcements,
- filters out the broad third-party news aggregation feed.
That is a good fit for Tarkov because Battlestate currently publishes:
- patches,
- events,
- surveys,
- maintenance,
- roadmap items,
- seasonal information
through Steam announcements.
Current example
As of September 2026:
- Patch 1.1.5.0 is current,
- Battlestate recently published a Seasons survey,
- Patch 1.1.0.0 introduced KORD BREACH and Seasonal Characters.
The Discord can distribute those posts without staff manually copying each one.
Arena is separate
The current YourBot catalog contains a code comment noting that a previous Tarkov: Arena entry was removed because it did not have a valid Steam App ID in that catalog path.
Do not use the main Tarkov App ID and label it as Arena news.
If Arena news matters to your community, configure a separate supported source or post Arena announcements manually.
Step 10: Use Analytics for Community Health, Not Raid Performance
YourBot Analytics measures Discord behavior.
Useful questions include:
- Are new players finding mentors?
- Is PvE more active than PvP?
- Are Seasonal groups filling?
- Which map-learning events attract people?
- Are members using voice during raids?
- Which LFG channels are redundant?
- Do members return after joining?
Exclude:
- moderation logs,
- reports,
- private appeals,
- automated patch feeds,
- staff channels.
Analytics does not know
- PMC level,
- Scav karma,
- K/D,
- survival rate,
- stash value,
- Roubles,
- trader reputation,
- quest progression,
- Flea Market value,
- raid history,
- extraction rate,
- Arena rating.
Do not use Discord message count to decide who is a “better Tarkov player.”
Step 11: Giveaways Should Stay Separate From Tarkov Progression
YourBot Giveaways can run optional community drawings.
Suitable prizes might include:
- legitimate Steam gift cards,
- community merchandise,
- gaming accessories,
- sponsor-provided items with clear disclosure.
Do not imply the Discord bot can automatically grant:
- Roubles,
- TarCoin,
- stash items,
- trader reputation,
- quest progress,
- Arena progression,
- Tarkov account entitlements.
unless you have a legitimate, supported fulfillment process.
Keep game economy and Discord community rewards separate.
The New Seasons System Deserves Its Own Discord Workflow
The 2026 Seasons system significantly changes how a modern Tarkov Discord should think about progression.
A Seasonal Character is not just “my normal PMC during an event.”
Battlestate says the seasonal profile is:
- separate,
- on separate servers,
- independent of PvP Zone,
- independent of PvE Zone,
- reset on the seasonal cycle.
That is enough to justify:
@Seasonal,- Seasonal LFG templates,
- Seasonal event threads,
- a temporary season discussion Forum.
It does not justify rebuilding the entire server every season.
When KORD BREACH ends:
- Archive the old season discussion.
- Rename or update the season Forum tag.
- Update Beacon templates.
- Update Seasonal Group Finder descriptions.
- Keep the same permanent channels.
PvE Communities Need Different Defaults
A PvE-heavy Tarkov server should not copy a PvP Discord blindly.
PvE members may care more about:
- story,
- long-term quests,
- map learning,
- boss progression,
- co-op objectives,
- build experimentation.
A PvE-focused variation could replace some PvP discussion with:
🧭 PVE
├── #quest-help
├── #story
├── #bosses
├── #map-learning
└── #pve-lfg
Use Beacon for:
- quest nights,
- boss hunts,
- event expeditions.
Use Group Finder for:
- groups forming now.
Use the same moderation, onboarding, Tickets, and patch-feed foundation.
Arena Should Be a Separate Lane, Not a Separate Community Unless Needed
A community can support Arena without creating a second Discord.
Start with:
@Arena,#arena,- Arena Group Finder template,
- Arena event template.
If Arena becomes half the community’s activity, then expand it.
The main point is clarity:
Arena matchmaking is not the same as a PMC extraction raid.
Do not ask Arena players for map-extract objectives or Scav profile information.
A Complete First-Week Workflow
Day 1: New member
A member joins.
They:
- verify,
- choose
@PvE, - choose
@Learning, - opt into
@LFG Alerts, - read
#how-to-start.
No staff channels become visible.
Day 2: PvE raid
They create:
Title: PvE Customs Quests
Profile: PvE
Experience: Learning
Need: 2 more
Voice: Preferred
They join a temporary voice room.
Day 3: Map learning
A mentor schedules:
Title: Woods Map Learning
Signup:
- Learning
- Mentor
- Experienced Helper
Beacon handles the schedule.
Day 4: Member report
A player privately reports a suspicious account-sale or cheat advertisement.
Staff review it through Tickets.
There is no public accusation thread.
Day 5: Patch post
The Steam source posts a Battlestate patch announcement in #official-updates.
Staff create a discussion thread if the changes are significant.
Day 6: Seasonal group
A member creates:
Title: Seasonal Lighthouse
Season: KORD BREACH
Objective: Progression + tasks
Experience: Any
The listing clearly distinguishes Seasonal from normal PvP.
Day 7: Review
Staff check:
- LFG usage,
- PvP vs PvE participation,
- Seasonal adoption,
- mentor demand,
- event turnout,
- voice activity,
- Ticket queue,
- Sentinel cases,
- unused channels.
Optional Plugin Builder Project: Raid Objective Board
The AI Plugin Builder becomes useful when members need a persistent raid-planning workflow that Group Finder does not provide.
A Raid Objective Board is a good Tarkov-specific example.
It does not read game accounts.
Players maintain objectives themselves.
Copy-ready Plugin Builder prompt
Create an Escape from Tarkov Raid Objective Board plugin for YourBot.
This plugin manages Discord-side raid planning only.
Administrators configure:
- Raid Leader role
- Mentor role
- public objective-board channel
- optional private staff review channel
Members can create an objective with:
- profile: PvP, PvE, Seasonal, or Scav
- current season name if Seasonal
- map
- objective type:
Quest, Story, Map Learning, Boss, Loot Run, Extract Practice,
Transit Route, New Player Help, or Custom
- short description
- preferred start window
- desired group size
- experience level
- voice preference
- optional notes
- status: Planning, Recruiting, Scheduled, Complete, Cancelled
Other members can click Interested.
The objective owner can turn a recruiting objective into a scheduled plan.
Add commands:
- /raid-objective-create
- /raid-objective-list
- /raid-objective-view
- /raid-objective-interest
- /raid-objective-update
- /raid-objective-complete
Allow filters for:
- profile
- map
- objective type
- experience
- status
Mentors can mark an objective as New Player Friendly.
Important restrictions:
- do not request Battlestate or Steam passwords
- do not request 2FA codes
- do not read live Tarkov quest progression
- do not read stash contents
- do not read Roubles, TarCoin, trader reputation, or Flea Market data
- do not claim to verify player level, skill, or survival rate
- do not connect to the Tarkov client in version 1
Treat every objective and completion state as Discord-member-entered data.
Store data per Discord server and include an audit log for staff changes.
Why this complements the built-ins
Use:
- Raid Objective Board for longer-lived plans,
- Group Finder for “we are going now,”
- Beacon for a scheduled raid night,
- Join-to-Create Voice for the actual group,
- Tickets for private reports,
- Announcements for community schedules.
The plugin fills a real planning gap without rebuilding the rest of YourBot.
A Future Tarkov Integration Should Be a Separate Project
If Battlestate later provides a suitable documented API for a community workflow, evaluate it separately.
A safe integration should define:
- which data is officially available,
- whether the API is read-only,
- account-link requirements,
- rate limits,
- credential handling,
- user consent,
- cache timing,
- deletion,
- failure behavior.
Do not build a Discord plugin that asks members to provide Battlestate passwords or launcher tokens.
Version 1 of the Raid Objective Board needs none of that.
Account Security Rules Worth Pinning
Battlestate’s current security guidance is clear enough to turn into Discord rules:
- Staff will never ask for your game-account password.
- Do not enter Tarkov credentials into random third-party sites.
- Use official Battlestate resources.
- Enable 2FA.
- Treat unsolicited account-verification links as suspicious.
A Discord community should add:
- no account sales,
- no RMT advertising,
- no cheat distribution,
- no malicious downloads,
- no impersonation of Battlestate or Safehouse Seven staff.
Sentinel can automate part of this, but member education still matters.
Common Setup Mistakes
Mixing PvP and PvE LFG
The same map does not mean the same profile.
Ignoring Seasonal Characters
Seasonal progression is separate from normal PvP and PvE.
Calling Arena an extraction-raid mode
It is a separate product/workflow.
Hard-coding current event rules
Tarkov changes frequently.
Creating one permanent channel per map
Use Forums, tags, and LFG fields.
Forgetting friendly fire
Voice organization matters because Tarkov does not give squads conventional teammate markers.
Public cheater accusations
Use private reports and official reporting systems.
Asking members for account credentials
Never.
Using Discord Analytics as a raid-performance system
It is not.
Treating the Steam feed as Arena news
The main Steam App ID is for Escape from Tarkov.
Frequently Asked Questions
When did Escape from Tarkov release on Steam?
Escape from Tarkov released on Steam on November 15, 2025.
What is PvE Zone?
PvE Zone is a separate co-op PvE mode. Steam currently describes it as persistent progression where players can play with friends without wipe-driven progression resets.
What are Seasonal Characters?
Seasonal Characters were introduced with Patch 1.1.0.0. They exist independently from normal PvP and PvE profiles and reset on the seasonal cycle.
How large can a Tarkov combat group be?
The current Official Escape from Tarkov Wiki documents combat groups of up to five characters.
Does Tarkov show special teammate markers?
The current official wiki says combat groups do not receive special HUD identification and group members can harm each other.
Does YourBot Group Finder automatically detect Escape from Tarkov?
Not in the currently inspected auto-detection list. Create Tarkov templates manually.
Can YourBot post Tarkov patch notes?
Yes. Configure the generic Steam News source with Escape from Tarkov App ID 3932890.
How often does that source check?
The inspected Steam source defaults to a 900-second polling interval.
Is Escape from Tarkov already a one-click Social Feed catalog entry?
Not in the repository revision inspected for this guide. Use the generic Steam source.
Does that same feed cover Tarkov: Arena?
Do not assume so. The main App ID is Escape from Tarkov. Arena should use a separate source or manual posts.
Can YourBot verify my Tarkov level, stash, quests, or Roubles?
Not through the built-in services described here.
Do I need a custom plugin?
No. Start with the built-in services. Add the Raid Objective Board only if persistent multi-session planning is a real need.
Final Verdict
Escape from Tarkov is a strong fit for a structured Discord because its multiplayer problem is not simply “find four people.”
Modern Tarkov communities may simultaneously support:
- PvP,
- PvE,
- Seasonal Characters,
- Scav raids,
- Arena,
- new-player mentoring,
- quest progression,
- story content,
- events.
The most important design rule is to label the profile and objective before the map.
Use Start Your Server to create:
- onboarding,
- profile roles,
- experience roles,
- LFG,
- mentorship,
- event scheduling,
- temporary voice,
- private staff workflows.
Then give each YourBot service one clear responsibility:
- Welcome for onboarding
- Sentinel for account-safety and community moderation
- Tickets for reports, appeals, and mentor applications
- Beacon for scheduled raid nights and learning sessions
- Group Finder for groups forming now
- Join-to-Create Voice for temporary raid rooms
- Announcements for recurring community schedules
- Social Feeds for Battlestate’s Steam announcements
- Analytics for Discord community health
- Giveaways for optional community events
Use the Plugin Builder only when the community needs a persistent planning workflow such as the Raid Objective Board.
Discord can organize the raid. Tarkov remains the source of truth for the character, progression, quest state, economy, and extraction.
