Updated September 2026
The official current game name is Counter-Strike 2, usually shortened to CS2. “Counter-Strike” is the franchise name and may still appear as a category label on analytics or streaming sites, while Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is the previous title that CS2 replaced. Valve’s official site and Steam store both identify the current product as Counter-Strike 2.
That distinction matters for search, branding, and community onboarding. If you are building a Discord for the current game, call it Counter-Strike 2 in the title, server description, LFG templates, and SEO metadata.
A strong CS2 Discord should help players find the right five-stack, separate Premier from normal Competitive, organize Wingman partners, schedule scrims and community matches, support workshop/community-server players, and follow map-pool and patch changes without turning the entire server into one scrolling #lfg channel.
YourBot can create that foundation with Start Your Server, then run the recurring Discord workflows through its ten built-in services.
Editorial disclosure: This guide is published by YourBot.gg. Counter-Strike 2 facts are based on current Valve and Steam documentation. YourBot-specific behavior is based on current product behavior and read-only repository review. CS2 is actively updated, so map pools, Premier seasons, community maps, events, and game modes should be rechecked after major Valve updates.
Counter-Strike 2 vs. CS:GO vs. “Counter-Strike”
Before building the Discord, use the names correctly.
Counter-Strike 2
This is the current Valve game.
Valve’s official CS2 page says:
- Counter-Strike 2 is the current next era of Counter-Strike.
- It is built on Source 2.
- It uses the updated Premier mode and CS Rating.
- It includes global and regional leaderboards.
- It carries forward players’ CS:GO inventories.
- It is designed to receive new features and updates for years.
The Steam store title is also Counter-Strike 2.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
CS:GO is the predecessor.
CS2 was delivered through the same Steam app lineage, which is why Steam App ID 730 remains the relevant app ID and the Steam page can still display a legacy 2012 release date inherited from CS:GO.
Do not interpret that 2012 date as “Counter-Strike 2 launched in 2012.”
For community purposes:
- CS2 = current game.
- CS:GO = predecessor / historical reference.
- Counter-Strike = franchise/series name or shorthand.
Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source
These older games still exist in the wider Counter-Strike ecosystem.
If your community actively supports them, create separate roles and LFG templates.
Do not send a CS 1.6 player into a CS2 five-stack listing just because both games share the franchise name.
What Makes a CS2 Discord Different?
Counter-Strike communities often contain several distinct player groups:
- Premier players
- Competitive players
- Wingman players
- Casual players
- Deathmatch players
- Retakes players
- Arms Race players
- Scrim teams
- Community-server players
- Workshop-map players
- Esports and Major viewers
- New players learning maps and utility
The permanent Discord should organize around those workflows rather than around every weapon or map.
CS2 is fundamentally team-based
Competitive Counter-Strike is built around two five-player teams.
That makes five a strong default for:
- Premier
- Competitive
- scrims
- team practice
- community 5v5s
But not every mode uses five-player teams.
Wingman is 2v2.
Retakes uses a different round setup.
Deathmatch and Casual have different player structures.
The Discord should let the mode determine the group template.
Current CS2 Context in September 2026
As of publication:
- Valve’s official game name is Counter-Strike 2.
- Steam App ID is
730. - CS2 supports Windows and SteamOS/Linux.
- Premier uses CS Rating and global/regional leaderboards.
- Premier Season 5 is active.
- Cache replaced Overpass in the Active Duty pool for Season 5.
- Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, Wingman, Retakes, Arms Race, Workshop maps, and Community Servers are all relevant parts of the current ecosystem.
- Valve continues adding and updating community maps.
- The IEM Cologne 2026 Major recently concluded.
- Counter-Strike remains deeply connected to esports, community maps, and custom play.
Do not build the Discord around one current map rotation.
Season 5 will eventually become Season 6.
The Active Duty pool will change again.
The Community We Will Build
This guide uses a fictional CS2 community called Bombsite Social [BSS].
Bombsite Social has around 300 Discord members and supports:
- Premier players
- normal Competitive
- Wingman duos
- casual and learning groups
- community 5v5s
- scrims
- workshop-map nights
- community-server events
- utility/map learning
- Major/esports watch parties
It is a general CS2 community rather than a single esports team.
YourBot Services We Will Use
| YourBot service | Counter-Strike 2 use |
|---|---|
| Welcome | Verification, region, Premier/Competitive/Wingman interests, skill-intent roles |
| Sentinel | Scam links, phishing, cheat-sale ads, harassment, raid protection |
| Tickets | Team applications, reports, appeals, event staff, tournament registration |
| Beacon Events | Scrims, 5v5s, Wingman nights, workshops, Major watch parties |
| Group Finder | Premier stacks, Competitive groups, Wingman duos, casual groups |
| Join-to-Create Voice | Temporary five-stack, duo, coaching, and scrim rooms |
| Announcements | Weekly schedule, scrim nights, map-learning sessions |
| Social Feeds | Built-in Counter-Strike 2 Steam publisher updates |
| Analytics | Discord participation, retention, voice usage, channel health |
| Giveaways | Optional community prizes and event rewards |
Step 1: Build the Foundation With Start Your Server
Start Your Server can create or reorganize channels, roles, permission overwrites, starter content, and supported YourBot service settings.
For an existing CS2 Discord, keep the first build add-only.
Do not delete your existing LFG or team channels until normal members have tested the replacement.
Copy-ready Start Your Server prompt
Create or reorganize this Discord server for a 300-member Counter-Strike 2
community called Bombsite Social.
Use the official current game name Counter-Strike 2 / CS2.
Do not call the current game CS:GO except when discussing historical context.
Create onboarding with:
- welcome
- rules
- verification
- region roles
- mode interests
- competitive-intent roles
- notification roles
Mode interests:
Premier, Competitive, Wingman, Casual, Retakes, Arms Race,
Community Servers, Workshop Maps, Esports
Competitive-intent roles:
Learning, Casual, Competitive, Scrim, Team Captain
Treat all interest roles as community labels only.
Do not present a Discord role as proof of CS Rating, Competitive rank,
Wingman rank, Prime status, VAC status, or skill.
Create public areas for:
general discussion, new-player help, Premier, Competitive, Wingman,
maps and utility, demos/VOD review, LFG, team recruitment, scrims,
community servers, Workshop maps, patch notes, esports, and events.
Create private staff areas for:
member reports, team applications, tournament administration,
moderation review, event planning, and staff logs.
Configure Welcome, Tickets, Sentinel, Beacon Events, Group Finder,
Join-to-Create Voice, Analytics, Announcements, Giveaways, and Social Feeds.
Use Join-to-Create Voice for temporary five-stack, Wingman, scrim,
and coaching rooms.
Do not create permanent Discord channels for every map, weapon, skin,
Premier season, or esports team.
If this server already exists, do not delete or rename current live channels
during the first build. Stage the replacement beside them for testing.

Do not create permanent Discord roles for individual maps.
Map pools change too often.
Step 2: Configure Welcome Around Region and Mode
Open Plugins → Welcome.
The most useful onboarding questions are:
- What region do you play in?
- Which CS2 modes do you care about?
- Are you learning, playing casually, or looking for serious team play?
- Which notifications do you want?
Example:
Welcome to Bombsite Social.
This is a Counter-Strike 2 community.
Choose your region, game-mode interests, and the kind of group you want.
Premier / Competitive / Wingman roles are interest roles only.
They do not verify your CS Rating, Skill Group, Prime status, or account standing.
Use #group-listings when you want teammates now.
Region matters
Latency matters heavily in Counter-Strike.
Use broad community matching regions such as:
- NA East
- NA West
- EU
- South America
- Asia
- Oceania
These are Discord matching roles, not a claim about Valve’s exact server routing.
Do not self-verify CS Rating
A member may write:
18k Premier
in a listing.
That is useful context.
It is not automatically verified by YourBot.
If your community wants verified ratings later, build a separate supported integration rather than asking for Steam credentials.
Step 3: Configure Sentinel for Competitive FPS Risks
Counter-Strike communities attract several predictable Discord risks:
- fake Steam login pages,
- skin scams,
- fake tournament invites,
- malicious trade links,
- account-sale ads,
- cheat advertisements,
- boosting services,
- impersonation,
- harassment.
Use Sentinel for the Discord layer.
Rules worth testing
- suspicious links,
- mass mentions,
- duplicate spam,
- unauthorized invites,
- fake Steam authentication pages,
- skin/trade scams,
- cheat advertisements,
- boosting ads,
- account sales,
- harassment,
- hate speech,
- raid behavior.
Start new high-impact rules in observation or dry-run mode where practical.
VAC is not a Discord moderation feature
Valve Anti-Cheat and VACnet operate on the game side.
Sentinel can moderate Discord behavior.
It cannot prove that a player cheated in CS2.
Do not create public “confirmed cheater” labels based solely on Discord accusations.
Use private reports.
Step 4: Use Tickets for Teams, Scrims, Reports, and Staff
Useful panels include:
- Team application
- Scrim request
- Tournament registration
- Coach application
- Member report
- Moderation appeal
- Event staff application
Team application
Ask:
Steam display name
Region
Premier CS Rating (optional / self-reported)
Competitive Skill Group (optional / self-reported)
Preferred roles / positions on a team
Maps you know well
Availability
Looking for Premier / Scrims / League Team / Casual 5-stack?
Voice communication available?
Avoid hard-coding traditional esports labels such as IGL, AWPer, Entry, Lurker, or Support as mandatory roles.
Those labels can be useful for established teams, but CS2 does not require one standardized Discord composition.
Scrim request
Ask:
Team name
Region
Approximate skill level
Preferred date/time
Map pool
Best-of format
Server arrangement
Contact person
Do not ask for passwords to private servers in a public form response.
Send sensitive connection details only to approved participants.
Member reports
Use private reports for:
- harassment,
- scam links,
- cheat advertising,
- malicious trade pages,
- tournament disputes,
- staff concerns.
Step 5: Use Beacon for Scheduled CS2 Events
Beacon is ideal for:
- community 5v5s,
- scrims,
- Premier practice,
- utility workshops,
- map-learning sessions,
- Wingman nights,
- Retakes nights,
- Workshop-map nights,
- community-server events,
- Major watch parties.
Example: Premier practice
Title: Premier Practice
Category: PvP
Signup:
- Playing
- Substitute
- Coach / Observer
If you want more structure:
Caller / IGL
Rifle
AWP
Flexible
Substitute
Treat those as team preferences—not universal requirements.
Example: Utility workshop
Valve added limited official map guides to Competitive and Retakes in March 2026.
That makes a Discord learning session especially practical.
Example:
Title: Mirage Utility Workshop
Signup:
- Learning
- Teaching
- Observer
Use the event description for:
- smokes,
- flashes,
- molotovs,
- site executes,
- retake setups.
Do not make permanent channels for each map.
Example: Major watch party
Counter-Strike esports remains central to the ecosystem.
The IEM Cologne 2026 Major concluded this summer, and Valve continues integrating Major content into CS2.
Beacon can schedule watch parties around:
- Major stages,
- playoffs,
- finals,
- Pick'Em deadlines.
Step 6: Build CS2 Templates in Group Finder
YourBot’s current Group Finder automatic game-detection table does not include Counter-Strike 2.
Create the templates manually.
Template 1: Premier five-stack
- Game:
Counter-Strike 2 - Activity:
Premier - Party size:
5 - Region: choose community region
- Experience: broad CS Rating band or intent
- Join mode: Open or Request
- Expiry: 1–2 hours
Example:
Region: EU
Current party: 3/5
Premier: self-reported 15k–18k
Mic: Required
Looking for: experienced rifles / flexible
Goal: serious but non-toxic
Template 2: Competitive
Use:
- Party size: 5
- Map: include in title/description
- Rank: self-reported if relevant
- Join mode: Open
Competitive and Premier are not the same ranking workflow.
The Discord should make that clear.
Template 3: Wingman
Wingman is 2v2.
Use:
- Party size: 2
- Activity:
Wingman - Map
- Experience
- Short expiry
Template 4: Casual / learning
Use:
- Experience: New / Learning
- Voice: optional
- Map focus
- Goal: mechanics / maps / economy
Template 5: Community Server
For surf, retakes, aim, custom maps, or other community-hosted play:
Activity: Community Server
Server name:
Mode:
Region:
Connection instructions:
Password: shared privately if needed
Do not post private server passwords in a Public Group Finder listing.
Template 6: Workshop map session
Valve continues expanding Workshop and community-map support.
Use:
- Workshop map
- activity
- group size
- host
- learning/testing goal
March 2026 added the ability for friends to join Practice or Workshop maps through the friends menu when the party is open.
That makes Discord coordination around Workshop play even easier.
Step 7: Use Join-to-Create Voice for Five-Stacks and Duos
Static voice channels such as:
- Premier 1
- Premier 2
- Wingman 1
- Competitive 1
- Scrim 1
quickly become empty clutter.
Use Join-to-Create Voice.
Recommended settings:
- Lobby:
➕ Create a Team Room - Category:
Temporary Teams - Name:
🎧 {display_name} - Delete when empty: enabled
- Creator owns room: enabled
- Auto-transfer ownership: enabled
- Owner panel: enabled
Members can rename rooms to:
- EU Premier
- NA Competitive
- Wingman
- Utility Practice
- Scrim Team A
Keep permanent rooms for
- Team Practice
- Coaches
- Tournament Admin
- Watch Party
- Staff
In-game voice still matters
Discord is excellent for established groups.
CS2’s in-game voice remains important for players who join through matchmaking or are not in the Discord.
Do not require Discord voice on every casual listing unless your community explicitly wants that.
Step 8: Use Announcements for Recurring Community Schedules
Start Your Server can enable Announcements, but schedules are configured manually.
Weekly community message
**Bombsite Social — This Week**
Tuesday: New Player 5-stack
Thursday: Premier Practice
Friday: Scrim Night
Saturday: Workshop / Community Maps
Sunday: Major / Esports Watch Party
Use #group-listings for teams forming now.
Use #community-events for scheduled sessions.
Premier season reminder
Do not hard-code one Premier season’s map pool forever.
Use:
Premier Season 5 is active.
Check the current Active Duty map pool before practice.
Use #practice-schedule for team sessions.
Current 2026 example
Season 5 began July 8, 2026.
Valve added Cache to Active Duty and removed Overpass.
That is important today.
It should not become permanent Discord architecture.
Step 9: Use the Built-In Counter-Strike 2 Social Feed
YourBot already has Counter-Strike 2 in its curated Social Feeds catalog.
The inspected entry is:
- key:
cs2 - name:
Counter-Strike 2 - Steam App ID:
730 - category:
FPS
That is the correct Steam App ID even though it originated with CS:GO.
Recommended setup
- Source: Counter-Strike 2
- Destination:
#official-updates - Optional ping:
@Patch Notes
The underlying Steam News source:
- accepts numeric Steam App IDs,
- defaults to a 900-second polling interval,
- requests publisher Steam Community announcements.
That makes it suitable for:
- game updates,
- map changes,
- Premier season announcements,
- Major content,
- Workshop/community-map updates.
It is not instant
Polling means periodic checks.
For a breaking tournament or server issue, staff may still want to post manually.
Step 10: Use Analytics for Community Health, Not CS Rating
YourBot Analytics measures Discord activity.
It can help answer:
- Are new members finding LFG?
- Is Premier more active than normal Competitive?
- Is Wingman popular enough for its own channel?
- Are practice nights generating voice activity?
- Which regions need events?
- Are Workshop-map nights attracting players?
- Are new members returning?
Exclude:
- moderation logs,
- reports,
- private team notes,
- automated patch feeds,
- tournament staff areas.
Analytics does not know
- CS Rating,
- Competitive Skill Group,
- Wingman Skill Group,
- ELO on third-party services,
- K/D,
- ADR,
- HLTV rating,
- FACEIT level,
- Premier wins,
- VAC status,
- Prime status.
Do not use Discord activity as a player ranking.
Step 11: Giveaways and Skin Scams Need Clear Separation
Counter-Strike’s skin economy creates extra risk around community giveaways.
Suitable community prizes may include:
- Steam gift cards,
- peripherals,
- community merchandise,
- sponsor-provided items.
If you ever run a skin-related giveaway:
- use a trusted fulfillment process,
- never ask for Steam login credentials,
- never ask members to sign into a random “trade verification” site,
- document the exact prize,
- use the official Steam trade workflow.
YourBot Giveaways can select the Discord winner.
It does not authenticate Steam trades or guarantee item delivery.
Premier Deserves Its Own Community Workflow
Premier is one of the defining CS2 systems.
Valve describes Premier as its Active Duty Pick-Ban competitive mode.
Players earn a CS Rating, which places them on global and regional leaderboards.
That makes Premier communities different from normal Competitive groups.
Recommended structure
🏆 PREMIER
├── #premier-info
├── #premier-lfg
├── #premier-practice
└── #premier-review
Or use one Forum.
Each team post can include:
- region,
- approximate CS Rating,
- available players,
- map preferences,
- practice schedule,
- communication style.
Do not hard-code one season
Season 5 is current.
Season 4 began in January 2026.
Map pools changed between them.
Use the current season in event descriptions—not permanent channel names.
Competitive, Premier, and Wingman Are Different
A common Discord mistake is to create one role called @Ranked.
That loses useful information.
Premier
- Active Duty pick-ban
- CS Rating
- global/regional leaderboards
Competitive
- standard competitive matchmaking
- map-focused play
- separate from Premier’s CS Rating system
Wingman
- 2v2
- single-bombsite style
- separate experience and group size
Use separate LFG templates.
Keep the overall Discord simple.
Community Servers and Workshop Maps Deserve Space
Counter-Strike has always had a strong community-server culture.
CS2 continues supporting:
- community servers,
- Workshop maps,
- custom map scripting,
- practice maps,
- custom game modes.
Valve’s 2026 updates continue expanding map scripting and Workshop functionality.
That makes CS2 different from shooters whose public matchmaking is the only meaningful way to play.
Community Server Forum
Use tags such as:
- Retakes
- Aim
- Surf
- KZ
- Workshop
- 5v5
- Casual
- Practice
Each post can contain:
- server name,
- region,
- connection instructions,
- rules,
- current event,
- admin contact.
Do not expose private server credentials publicly.
Scrims Need a Different Workflow From LFG
Group Finder is excellent for:
Need two more for Premier right now.
A scrim is different.
A scrim usually needs:
- team identity,
- scheduled time,
- region,
- skill level,
- map pool,
- best-of format,
- server arrangement,
- captain contact.
Use:
- Tickets for scrim requests,
- Beacon for scheduled scrims,
- a private team thread for strategy,
- temporary voice for match day.
That keeps LFG fast and scrims organized.
A Complete First-Week Workflow
Day 1: New member
A player joins.
They:
- verify,
- choose
@EU, - choose
@Premierand@Competitive, - choose
@Learning, - opt into
@LFG Alerts.
They immediately know where to go.
Day 2: Premier stack
They create:
Title: EU Premier
Current: 3/5
Rating: self-reported 14k–17k
Mic: Required
Goal: serious / non-toxic
The listing expires after the session.
Day 3: Utility practice
A coach schedules:
Title: Mirage Utility Workshop
Signup:
- Learning
- Teaching
- Observer
Beacon handles reminders.
Day 4: Scrim
A team captain submits a scrim request.
Staff or the opposing captain confirms details privately.
Day 5: Valve update
The built-in CS2 feed posts an official update to #official-updates.
Staff create a thread for discussion.
Day 6: Workshop night
Members join a Workshop-map event and use a temporary voice room.
Day 7: Review
Staff check:
- LFG usage,
- Premier vs Competitive demand,
- Wingman demand,
- voice activity,
- reports,
- event turnout,
- patch discussion,
- inactive channels.
Discord message volume is not treated as competitive skill.
Optional Plugin Builder Project: Scrim & Map-Veto Board
The AI Plugin Builder becomes useful when a CS2 community wants a persistent competitive-team workflow beyond LFG and Beacon.
A Scrim & Map-Veto Board is a strong fit.
Copy-ready Plugin Builder prompt
Create a Counter-Strike 2 Scrim & Map-Veto Board plugin for YourBot.
This plugin manages Discord-side scrim planning only.
Administrators configure:
- Team Captain role
- Coach role
- Scrim review channel
- optional public team directory
Each team stores:
- team name
- region
- captain
- optional coach
- approximate skill / CS Rating band as self-entered text
- status: Recruiting, Active, Paused, Archived
- public description
Each scrim request stores:
- requesting team
- opponent team
- date/time
- region
- format: BO1, BO3, BO5, Custom
- current map pool
- server arrangement
- private connection-note field
- status: Requested, Accepted, Scheduled, Completed, Cancelled
Add a map-veto workflow.
Administrators or captains can configure the current map pool manually.
For a veto:
- record Team A
- record Team B
- record veto order
- record each ban/pick
- record final map order
- record side choice if needed
- keep an audit history
Add commands:
- /team-create
- /team-list
- /scrim-request
- /scrim-accept
- /scrim-veto
- /scrim-view
- /scrim-complete
Add a dashboard for captains and coaches.
Privacy:
- public team pages show approved fields only
- server passwords and private connection details are visible only to
participating captains/coaches and staff
- private strategy notes are never public
Do not request Steam passwords, session tokens, API keys, or trade credentials.
Do not claim to read live CS Rating, Competitive rank, Wingman rank,
FACEIT level, VAC status, Prime status, match history, or inventory.
Do not automatically create or manage CS2 dedicated servers in version 1.
Store all records per Discord server and keep an audit log for staff changes.
How this complements YourBot
Use:
- Scrim Board for persistent team and veto records
- Group Finder for stacks forming now
- Beacon for scheduled scrims
- Tickets for team applications
- Join-to-Create Voice for match rooms
- Announcements for schedules
- Analytics for Discord activity
The custom plugin fills a real competitive workflow instead of duplicating existing services.
A Future CS2 Server Integration Should Be Separate
A more advanced community might eventually want:
- community-server status,
- player counts,
- map status,
- match server provisioning,
- demo links.
That should be treated as a separate integration project.
A safe design needs:
- documented server interfaces,
- secure credentials,
- read/write separation,
- rate limits,
- staff authorization,
- audit logs,
- failure behavior.
Do not put RCON passwords or server credentials into an AI prompt or public Discord settings.
Version 1 of the Scrim Board does not need them.
Common Setup Mistakes
Calling the current game CS:GO
The current official name is Counter-Strike 2.
Calling the current game just “Counter-Strike” in SEO metadata
That is broader franchise wording. Use Counter-Strike 2 when targeting the current game.
Treating every CS2 mode as 5v5
Wingman is 2v2, and other modes use different structures.
Combining Premier and Competitive into one rank workflow
They use different ranking concepts.
Creating permanent channels for every map
Active Duty and community map pools change.
Treating self-reported CS Rating as verified
Label it as self-reported unless you have a supported verification method.
Publicly posting private scrim server credentials
Share them only with participants.
Letting skin giveaways become phishing funnels
Use official Steam trade workflows and never ask for login credentials.
Treating Discord Analytics as CS2 performance analytics
It is not.
Assuming the Steam page’s 2012 date means CS2 launched in 2012
App ID 730 carries the legacy CS:GO product history.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the official name Counter-Strike or Counter-Strike 2?
The current game’s official name is Counter-Strike 2.
“Counter-Strike” is the franchise/series name and common shorthand.
Is CS2 the same game as CS:GO?
CS2 replaced CS:GO as the current game and carried forward inventory through the same Steam app lineage, but the current product is Counter-Strike 2 running on Source 2.
What is CS2’s Steam App ID?
730.
YourBot’s current Social Feeds catalog uses that App ID for Counter-Strike 2.
Why does Steam show a 2012 release date?
The Steam product inherited the existing CS:GO app listing and history. That date should not be treated as the launch date of Counter-Strike 2 itself.
How large is a normal Counter-Strike team?
The classic competitive format is five players per team.
What is Premier?
Premier is Valve’s Active Duty pick-ban competitive mode. It uses CS Rating and global/regional leaderboards.
What is Wingman?
Wingman is Counter-Strike’s 2v2 competitive format.
Does YourBot Group Finder automatically detect CS2?
Not in the currently inspected game-detection list. Create CS2 templates manually.
Does YourBot have a Counter-Strike 2 news feed?
Yes. Counter-Strike 2 is already in the curated Social Feeds catalog with Steam App ID 730.
How often does the feed check?
The inspected Steam source defaults to a 900-second polling interval.
Can YourBot verify my CS Rating or VAC status?
Not through the built-in Discord services described here.
Do I need a custom plugin?
No. Start with the built-in services. Add the Scrim & Map-Veto Board only if persistent team and scrim administration is a real need.
Final Verdict
Yes: the correct official current title is Counter-Strike 2.
That is the name to use for the blog title, SEO metadata, Discord onboarding, Social Feeds, and LFG templates.
A modern CS2 community may simultaneously support:
- Premier,
- Competitive,
- Wingman,
- Casual,
- Retakes,
- Arms Race,
- Community Servers,
- Workshop maps,
- scrims,
- esports watch parties.
Use Start Your Server to create:
- region-aware onboarding,
- mode interests,
- Premier and Competitive LFG,
- team recruitment,
- scrim planning,
- community-server discussion,
- Workshop-map events,
- private staff workflows.
Then give each YourBot service one job:
- Welcome for onboarding
- Sentinel for Discord safety
- Tickets for applications, reports, and scrims
- Beacon for scheduled practice and community events
- Group Finder for teams forming now
- Join-to-Create Voice for temporary teams
- Announcements for schedules
- Social Feeds for Valve’s CS2 updates
- Analytics for Discord community health
- Giveaways for optional community events
Use the Plugin Builder for persistent competitive workflows such as a Scrim & Map-Veto Board.
Keep the terminology clean: Counter-Strike is the franchise; CS:GO is the predecessor; Counter-Strike 2 is the current game.
