Closes a giveaway without picking anyone. giveaway_id autocompletes with this server's giveaways that can still be cancelled. You need Manage Server, Administrator, or the giveaway host role.
Only a running, scheduled, or draft giveaway can be cancelled. The giveaway must be in this server ("Giveaway not found."). One that has already finished is refused: "Giveaway is completed. Only active, scheduled or draft giveaways can be cancelled." A giveaway that is mid-draw cannot be cancelled either.
On success you see "✅ Giveaway cancelled." The post in the channel is replaced by a cancellation notice that reads "Cancelled by the host." with no winners, its Enter and Leave buttons stop working, and the public spectator page shows the giveaway as cancelled.
Good to know
- Entrants are not messaged when a giveaway is cancelled.
- A cancelled giveaway is listed on the dashboard History page.
- To close a giveaway and still pick winners, use /giveaway end.
