How to Build and Run a Warframe Discord Community With YourBot

Build a Warframe Discord around what a Tenno wants to do next: open Relics, clear Steel Path, run Railjack, learn an Eidolon hunt, prepare for an Operation, or find a clan that fits. Use YourBot’s Start Your Server to prepare the channels, roles, permissions, and supported services, then configure the actual squads, events, applications, temporary voice rooms, and update feeds.

The most important distinction is not simply “new or experienced.” Warframe is a cross-platform game with ordinary four-player squads, progression-gated activities, story spoilers, clan systems, and occasional activities that break the normal squad-size assumption. A Discord member may also belong to your community without belonging to your in-game Clan.

This guide follows Origin Assembly, a fictional 240-member cross-platform Warframe community with one Storm-tier clan, allied clans, independent Tenno, new-player mentors, and organized endgame groups. It uses both setup paths established throughout this series: a reviewed Start Your Server build and manual configuration of all ten YourBot services. An established Discord can keep its current channels and follow the service sections directly.

Start With the Right Warframe Community Model

Origin Assembly is a Warframe community first and an in-game Clan second. Its Discord is intentionally larger than the clan roster so new players, former clanmates, alliance partners, and people who only want occasional squads can participate without being promised an in-game slot.

Warframe supports Cross Platform Play across its current PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android ecosystem. Cross Platform Save lets a player use one linked progression path across supported platforms. Digital Extremes’ Cross Platform Progression guide explains the current account-linking and cross-play model.

That means platform is useful for technical support, but it usually should not divide normal LFG. Activity unlocks, difficulty, Relic choice, story progression, and squad readiness matter more.

Normal squads are usually four players, but exceptions now exist

For most Warframe activities, build your Discord around a maximum four-player squad. Railjack’s official crew documentation, for example, describes NPC Crew filling positions when the player squad has fewer than four Tenno.

Do not turn “four” into an absolute rule for every future activity.

As of September 22, 2026, Iceblade of Narin is scheduled for September 23 and introduces Glacial Defiance, which Digital Extremes describes as a new mission type requiring six players. The Devstream 197 overview is the appropriate current reference.

That is exactly why the Discord should store party size on the activity rather than creating permanent channels named #four-player-content.

Separate community membership from Clan membership

Warframe Clans have tier-based size limits. Digital Extremes’ Clan, Alliance and Dojo Guide uses the familiar Ghost, Shadow, Storm, Mountain, and Moon tiers. The tier capacities represented in the clan/alliance system are 10, 30, 100, 300, and 1,000 respectively.

Origin Assembly’s primary in-game clan is Storm tier, so one Discord with 240 members cannot promise every verified member a position in that clan.

Keep these ideas separate:

Community state What it means
Discord Member Can use the public community according to Discord permissions
Clan Applicant Has asked to join the in-game Clan
Clan Member An officer has confirmed actual in-game membership
Alliance / Partner Clan Belongs to another in-game Clan participating in the broader community
Mentor / Organizer A Discord trust role, not an in-game Warframe rank

Cross-platform Clans are also a game-side setting. Digital Extremes says the Founding Warlord can enable Cross Platform Clan support, after which members from other platforms can access the Dojo, research, and clan/alliance chat. Discord role changes do not toggle that setting or alter the in-game roster.

Keep progression gates and story spoilers explicit

Warframe has years of quests, unlocks, and spoiler-sensitive systems. A useful listing says more than:

endgame run, need 2

Instead, describe the actual gate:

Activity: Steel Path Void Fissure
Squad: 2/4
Prerequisite: Steel Path unlocked
Relic: Axi [specific relic if required]
Refinement: Radiant
Goal: 4-person Radshare
Spoilers: Late-game systems may be discussed
Voice: Optional

Do not make @Endgame a substitute for checking the actual requirement.

Keep story discussion opt-in. A returning player who has not completed a major quest should be able to use LFG without accidentally opening a channel full of late-game story reveals.

Use current updates without rebuilding the Discord every month

As of September 22, 2026, the current patch line is Update 43.5: Amir’s Shockwave. Operation: Plague Star 2026 is also active through September 23 at 10 a.m. ET.

The next day, Iceblade of Narin is scheduled to arrive on all platforms with Narin, Banshee’s rework, Yuvan Peak, Riven changes, and Glacial Defiance. The Epoch Operation: Taubound is then scheduled for October 15.

Use those announcements for:

Do not create permanent categories for every Operation or Warframe release. The Warframe news page and patch notes are better sources of truth for live content.

The Community We Will Build

Origin Assembly supports:

Its core Storm Clan can hold up to 100 members, while the Discord also serves allied clans and unaffiliated players.

YourBot’s role in the community

Service Origin Assembly’s use
Welcome Verification, activity interests, spoiler preferences, and mentor access
Sentinel Discord moderation, suspicious links, reports, and anti-raid controls
Tickets Clan applications, private help, reports, and staff contact
Group Finder Four-player squads, six-player exceptions, and clear prerequisites
Beacon Events Teaching sessions, Operations, community nights, and organized attendance
Join-to-Create Voice Temporary squad rooms and coaching spaces
Announcements Weekly plans and dated update reminders
Social Feeds Warframe publisher announcements
Analytics Discord participation and retention
Giveaways Optional community celebrations with legitimate prizes

These are the ten built-in services. Start with the workflows members actually need and add complexity only when it solves a real problem.

1. Create the Foundation With Start Your Server

Sign in with the Discord account that owns the server, select it in YourBot, and open Start Your Server. Check the building as indicator, especially if the community uses its own bot name and avatar.

The bot needs access to inspect the relevant channels and sufficient channel/role management permissions for the approved changes. Keep its role above the roles it must manage.

Copy-ready community brief

Create or reorganize a Warframe Discord called Origin Assembly for about
240 members.

This is a cross-platform Warframe community. It includes one primary
Storm-tier clan plus allied-clan members, unaffiliated Tenno, beginners,
returning players, mentors, and organized endgame groups.

Make the newcomer path simple:
read rules -> verify -> choose activities -> choose spoiler preferences ->
find a squad or ask for help.

Use optional interests for:
New Tenno
Returning Tenno
Relics
Steel Path
Open World
Eidolon Hunts
Railjack
Deep Archimedea
Clan Interest
Dojo Projects
Buildcraft
Current Operations
Trading Discussion
Events

Create separate opt-in access for late-game story spoilers.

Keep Member, Mentor, Clan Officer, Event Organizer, Moderator, and Admin
permissions separate. Staff and officer roles must not be self-selectable.

A Discord role does not prove that a player has unlocked Steel Path,
completed a quest, owns a specific Relic, has a compatible loadout,
belongs to the in-game Clan, or is ready for an advanced activity.
Require the actual prerequisite in each listing.

Create one Group Finder listing channel, one coordination forum,
event signups, clan recruitment, build discussion, story-safe help,
a Dojo/project area, and private staff/support channels.

Prepare Welcome, Sentinel, Tickets, Group Finder, Beacon Events,
Join-to-Create Voice, Announcements, Social Feeds, Analytics, and Giveaways.

Normal Warframe squads should default to four players.
Do not make four a universal rule: create activity-specific exceptions
when Digital Extremes supports another size, such as the announced
six-player Glacial Defiance mode.

Preserve existing channels, roles, and messages. Do not delete or rename
live channels in the first build. Stage additions for staff testing.

Avoid one channel per Warframe. A player can change frames, weapons, and builds between missions; permanent Discord structure should not pretend those choices are fixed classes.

Review before applying

Inspect Channels, Roles, and Services instead of accepting the conversation summary by itself. Use See it as for:

Confirm that an interest role cannot reveal applications or private officer notes.

Leave destructive changes unselected during the first build. Review the build operations, read the report, and keep the snapshot available.

Announcements schedules and Social Feed subscriptions still require manual creation. Enabling the service is not the same as creating the weekly calendar or choosing the Warframe feed.

2. Welcome: Match Tenno by Goals Without Spoiling the Story

Open Welcome. Use verification to grant a limited Member role and publish separate interest menus.

A practical activity menu can include:

Relics
Steel Path
Open World
Eidolons
Railjack
Deep Archimedea
Current Operations
Clan Interest
Dojo Projects
Buildcraft
Trading Discussion

Use separate roles for:

New Tenno
Returning Tenno
Mentor Interest
Late-Game Spoilers
Patch Notes
Event Alerts
LFG Alerts

Do not ask a new member to select their “main class.” Warframes are loadouts, not permanent player classes.

A useful greeting is:

Welcome to Origin Assembly.

Verify, choose the activities you enjoy, and opt into story spoilers only
when you are comfortable seeing late-game discussion.

Use #group-listings for squads forming now.
Use #event-signups for planned community activities.
Use #new-tenno-help if you are unsure what you have unlocked.

Activity roles are interests only. Check the requirements on each listing.

Warframe’s Cross Platform Play means a mobile Tenno can still be a normal community member. Android launched globally through Google Play in February 2026, while the Samsung Galaxy Store version arrives September 23. iOS, consoles, Switch, and PC participate in the broader cross-platform ecosystem.

Test: join with a normal account, verify, select several interests, leave spoiler access unselected, and confirm that the user can reach help without seeing officer or moderation channels.

3. Sentinel: Protect Accounts and Community Conduct

Open Sentinel, select the moderation log and authorized moderator roles, then review link, spam, mention, invite, and account-safety rules.

Warframe communities should pay particular attention to:

Use dry-run when introducing stronger rules and review false positives before allowing automatic actions to affect established members.

Do not turn disagreements about builds, trade prices, or mission strategy into moderation violations. Sentinel moderates Discord conduct; it does not decide whether a player’s loadout is “correct” or whether Digital Extremes should sanction a game account.

Do not request Warframe, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Apple, or Google passwords or authentication codes in Discord.

Test: use harmless test links and mention patterns, confirm the expected logs, and verify that ordinary official Warframe links are not accidentally blocked.

4. Tickets: Separate Clan Applications, Help, and Reports

Open Tickets and build separate intake paths.

Clan application

Ask for:

Warframe display name
Platform used most often
Cross Platform Play enabled? Yes / No / Unsure
Approximate experience level
Typical playing times
Activities enjoyed
What are you looking for from the Clan?

Do not promise a game invite merely because the Discord form was accepted.

Origin Assembly uses:

  1. application received,
  2. officer review,
  3. optional Discord trial role,
  4. in-game invitation by an authorized Clan officer,
  5. Discord role updated after membership is confirmed.

New-player or private help

Useful for:

Do not collect login credentials.

Member report

Keep harassment, scams, suspicious links, and staff concerns private.

For an actual game-account problem, direct the member to Digital Extremes’ support process rather than pretending a Discord ticket can change Warframe account status.

Test: submit all three paths as a member and confirm that clan officers cannot automatically read moderation cases unless they are separately authorized.

5. Group Finder: Build Activity-Specific Warframe Templates

Open Group Finder, connect #group-listings and the coordination forum, then create Warframe templates manually.

Warframe is not in the inspected automatic game-detection keyword table, so do not assume setup will recognize a #warframe channel and generate correct activities for you.

Create the first template

Start with a general four-player mission template:

Template Name: Warframe — General Squad
Game: Warframe
Default Party Size: 4
Default Expiry: 2 hours
Description:
State the exact activity, normal or Steel Path, progression requirement,
goal, spoiler level, voice preference, and any item or Relic requirement.

Leave fixed role slots empty.

Warframe normally does not require:

or one permanent Frame per role.

Add templates around real activities

Template Target size Required context
Void Fissure / Radshare 4 Relic, refinement, era, normal/Steel Path
General Steel Path 4 Node/activity, prerequisite, goal
Railjack 4 Proxima/activity, teaching or experienced, host expectation
Eidolon Hunt 4 Number of captures, teaching/experienced, equipment expectation
Deep Archimedea 4 Unlock requirement, weekly restrictions, teaching expectation
Operation / Event Activity-specific Current event, tier/difficulty, prerequisite
Glacial Defiance 6 Use only after its supported launch; current requirement says six

For a Radshare, publish what is actually expected:

Activity: Axi [Relic] Radshare
Mode: Normal Void Fissure
Squad: 2/4
Relic: Axi [name]
Refinement: Radiant
Goal: Everyone brings the same Radiant Relic
Spoilers: None expected
Voice: Not required

The Discord listing does not inspect the inventory or verify that the Relic is equipped.

Do not make tomorrow’s content live early

As of September 22, 2026, Glacial Defiance is announced for September 23. Prepare the template as a draft if useful, but do not advertise it as playable before the update is live and your staff has confirmed its real behavior.

The same principle applies to future Operations and quest-gated content.

Test: create a four-person Relic listing, join with three test accounts or staff volunteers, leave one slot, close it, and verify the coordination thread and expiry behavior. Then test a six-person template separately after a supported six-player activity is live.

6. Beacon Events: Schedule Teaching, Operations, and Larger Activities

Use Beacon Events for activities with a date, planned attendance, or more coordination than a quick LFG post.

Good examples:

Example: Railjack teaching session

Title: Railjack Fundamentals
Category: Other
Max Participants: 4
Signup:
- Learning — 3
- Mentor / Host — 1

A mentor who is actually entering the mission counts toward the four-person squad.

Example: Glacial Defiance after launch

Once Digital Extremes has released the mode and your staff has confirmed access requirements:

Title: Glacial Defiance Learning Run
Category: Other
Max Participants: 6
Signup:
- Playing — 5
- Guide — 1

Do not use six-player capacity merely because the mode was announced. Confirm the live activity first.

Example: community Operation night

For Plague Star or another limited-time event, put the event end date in the description and link the current Digital Extremes announcement.

Do not reuse an old Operation’s rewards or requirements without checking the current return.

Test: fill the participant cap, verify the waitlist, check timezone display from another account, and make sure reminders do not duplicate an Announcements ping.

7. Join-to-Create Voice: Keep Mission Rooms Temporary

Use Join-to-Create Voice to create temporary squad rooms instead of Squad 1, Squad 2, Squad 3, and dozens of empty channels.

A useful setup is:

Lobby: Create a Squad Room
Default limit: 4
Category: Temporary Squads
Delete when empty: Enabled
Creator is owner: Enabled
Auto-transfer: Enabled

Add a second lobby for larger supported activity exceptions when needed:

Lobby: Create a 6-Player Room
Limit: 6

Keep permanent rooms for:

Warframe already includes squad and clan chat. Discord voice complements those systems; it does not need to replace them for every group.

Test: create a room, transfer ownership, restrict it, have the owner leave, and confirm eventual cleanup after the last member exits.

8. Announcements: Publish the Weekly Plan Without Becoming Patch Spam

Open Announcements and create the schedule manually.

A weekly community summary might be:

Origin Assembly this week

Tuesday: New Tenno help night
Thursday: Relic groups
Friday: Railjack / Steel Path
Weekend: Current Operation or endgame teaching

Find today's squads in #group-listings.
Find scheduled sessions in #event-signups.

Keep temporary content dated.

For example, on September 22:

Do not create a recurring announcement that says an Operation is live forever.

Let Social Feeds own publisher news, Beacon own event-specific reminders, and Announcements own the community plan.

Test: preview the message with staff, verify timezone and mentions, and confirm that members do not receive duplicate event reminders from two services.

9. Social Feeds: Select the Existing Warframe Entry

YourBot’s current Social Feeds catalog already includes Warframe, using Steam App ID 230410.

Configure:

Source: Warframe
Destination: #warframe-updates
Optional mention: @Patch Notes

The inspected Steam source checks publisher announcements with a 900-second default polling interval. That is periodic polling, not guaranteed delivery within exactly fifteen minutes.

The feed is useful even for:

because the destination is Discord.

It is not a complete mirror of:

For important account or cross-platform guidance, link the actual Digital Extremes support article.

Test: confirm the selected title, destination, and mention role, then observe delivery of a new publisher announcement. Enabling Social Feeds through Start Your Server alone does not create this subscription.

10. Analytics: Measure Discord Participation, Not Mastery Rank

Configure Analytics with:

Useful questions include:

Analytics does not know:

Do not unlock Mentor or Clan Officer permissions based on message count.

Test: compare a normal public interaction with activity in an excluded staff channel and confirm the dashboard exposes only the intended data.

11. Giveaways: Keep Discord Prizes Separate From Warframe Trading

Open Giveaways, restrict hosting to approved organizers, and state:

Straightforward prizes include:

Avoid turning the giveaway system into a pseudo-marketplace for Platinum or account access.

Warframe has its own trading systems and restrictions. YourBot selects the Discord winner; it does not transfer Platinum, Mods, Prime parts, cosmetics, or account entitlements.

Never ask a winner for account credentials.

Test: run a clearly labeled staff-only test drawing with no real prize, then confirm entry, closing, reroll, and winner messaging.

Let Warframe Handle Cross Save, Clan Membership, and the Dojo

Origin Assembly should use Discord for:

Warframe remains responsible for:

The current Cross Platform Clan feature can allow members on other platforms into the same clan after the Founding Warlord enables it. A Discord officer role still does not modify the in-game rank.

A Discord with 240 members can support:

That is often healthier than forcing the entire community into one in-game roster.

Make Progression, Loadout Expectations, and Spoilers Explicit

Warframe LFG works best when the leader states the requirement instead of making members decode shorthand.

For a higher-level activity, publish:

Activity:
Difficulty:
Unlock required:
Specific quest gate:
Loadout expectation:
Consumables/items required:
Teaching or experienced:
Story spoiler level:
Estimated time:

Do not say:

bring meta

when what you actually mean is:

bring a loadout you can comfortably use in Steel Path and be prepared to explain if you need help.

For a teaching event, allow room for experimentation.

For a progression run, state the standard before members commit.

Keep Current Operations Temporary

Operations are perfect Beacon content and poor permanent channel architecture.

At publication, Operation: Plague Star 2026 is ending on September 23 at 10 a.m. ET. A month from now, a permanent #plague-star channel may already be dead space.

Use:

The upcoming Epoch Operation: Taubound on October 15 can use the same framework.

Add a Dojo Project & Research Board Only When You Need It

Origin Assembly can launch with the built-in services.

A custom plugin becomes useful when Dojo priorities, research needs, room projects, decoration work, and alliance initiatives start disappearing into staff chat.

A Dojo Project & Research Board is a strong Plugin Builder project because it adds persistent planning without pretending to control the game.

Before building, check the marketplace for an existing maintained solution and review its real capabilities, permissions, data handling, support, and pricing.

Copy-ready Plugin Builder specification

Build a YourBot SDK plugin called Origin Assembly Dojo Board.

This is a Discord-side project and research planning tool.
It is not a Warframe game integration.

Administrators configure:
- Clan Officer role
- Dojo Architect role
- Research Coordinator role
- public project channel
- private officer review channel

Allow one Discord server to configure multiple in-game clan records so the
community can support a primary clan and allied/partner clans.

Each clan record stores:
- public clan name
- clan tier as community-maintained text
- optional Alliance name
- officer contact role
- public notes
- last-confirmed date

Each project stores:
- clan
- project title
- project type:
  Research
  Room
  Decoration
  Dry Dock
  Event Preparation
  Alliance Project
  Other
- public description
- project owner
- priority
- status:
  Planning
  Collecting
  Building
  Blocked
  Complete
  Archived
- target date if applicable
- last-confirmed game version / date
- public progress note
- private officer note

Optionally allow project owners to enter resource requirements manually.
Each resource row stores a resource name, target amount, current
community-maintained amount, and last-confirmed timestamp.

Clearly label all resource figures as staff-entered. Do not claim they are
read from the Clan Dojo, player inventory, or Warframe account.

Members may click:
- Interested
- Can Help
- Need Instructions

These are expressions of intent only. They do not reserve materials or prove
that a contribution was made in game.

Authorized officers can record a contribution note manually if the community
chooses to track one, but do not create public wealth rankings.

Commands may include:
- /dojo-project-create
- /dojo-project-list
- /dojo-project-view
- /dojo-project-help
- /dojo-project-update
- /dojo-project-complete

Provide a searchable dashboard with filters for clan, project type, priority,
status, and last-confirmed date.

Privacy and safety:
- private officer notes are visible only to authorized officer roles
- all command and dashboard authorization is enforced server-side
- records are isolated by Discord server
- staff changes are audited
- revoked officer access is tested
- exports respect private-field permissions

Do not request Warframe passwords, platform passwords, authentication codes,
session tokens, or payment details.

Do not:
- read player inventories
- inspect Platinum balances
- query Clan membership
- change Clan ranks
- invite or remove members
- modify the Dojo
- start research
- transfer resources
- place decorations
- control Railjack or game sessions

Keep external network access disabled in version 1.
Store links and notes only as member-entered text.

Do not duplicate Beacon attendance, Group Finder listings, or Tickets.
The Dojo Board owns persistent project planning only.

Review, test, and continue through the SDK

Use Plugin Builder to review the plan, source, manifest, commands, and capabilities before relying on the result.

Test with synthetic clan/project records rather than real sensitive officer notes first.

Test as:

Remove the officer role and retest private records directly—not just whether the button disappears.

A developer can continue the same project in Visual Studio Code. Open the complete generated folder, use the project Python environment, install the current yourbot-sdk and declared dependencies, then run the supported validation and development commands described in the SDK getting-started guide.

The Plugin Builder creates a YourBot ecosystem plugin, not an unrestricted replacement Discord bot.

Test the version you intend to distribute, then use the supported Dev Portal upload/GitHub workflow and the applicable review process. Marketplace publication is a separate decision.

Passing validation does not prove that a project record matches the actual Clan Dojo. Human confirmation still matters.

Run a Complete First-Week Member Journey

Before announcing Origin Assembly’s new layout, rehearse it with normal member accounts.

Scenario Successful result
New Tenno joins They verify, choose beginner interests, and do not see spoiler/staff channels.
Cross-platform player joins They use the same normal LFG flow without a duplicate platform silo.
Relic group forms Four total participants and the actual Relic/refinement are clear.
Advanced activity is gated A member can see the requirement before joining rather than discovering it after invite.
Clan applicant applies Officers review privately; acceptance does not pretend to perform an in-game invite.
Teaching event fills Playing mentor counts inside the actual mission capacity.
Temporary voice empties The room is removed without affecting permanent social spaces.
Dojo project is updated Only authorized staff can change private notes, and ordinary members see the approved public state.

After the first week, review:

Fix those before adding more automation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one Warframe Discord support PC, console, Switch, iOS, and Android players?

Yes. Warframe supports Cross Platform Play across its current ecosystem, and Cross Platform Save can unify progress across linked accounts. For ordinary community organization, activity requirements are often more important than platform.

How large is a normal Warframe squad?

Most standard Warframe mission squads are built around up to four players. Activity-specific exceptions can exist. The announced Glacial Defiance mode launching with Iceblade of Narin on September 23, 2026 requires six players.

Should we create one role for every Warframe?

Usually not. Frames and builds change constantly. Activity interests such as Relics, Railjack, Steel Path, and Eidolons are more useful permanent Discord roles.

Can a 240-member Discord have one Warframe Clan?

The Discord can, but the in-game clan may not hold everyone. A Storm-tier clan has a 100-slot scale, while larger tiers increase that capacity. Communities can also include partner clans, alliances, and members who are not in the primary clan.

Does YourBot Group Finder automatically detect Warframe?

Not in the currently inspected automatic game-keyword list. Create Warframe templates manually.

Does YourBot have a Warframe update feed?

Yes. Warframe is already in the curated Social Feeds catalog using Steam App ID 230410.

Can YourBot verify Mastery Rank, inventory, Clan membership, or Steel Path access?

Not through the built-in workflows described here. Treat those fields as member- or staff-confirmed unless a separately reviewed integration is added.

Can YourBot change our Dojo or Clan research?

Not through the proposed Dojo Board. Version one is a Discord planning system only.

Do we need the Dojo Board immediately?

No. Begin with onboarding, LFG, events, voice, moderation, private support, and update feeds. Add the project board when long-lived Dojo work is genuinely difficult to track.

Build Around Compatible Tenno and Clear Requirements

A useful Warframe Discord helps a new Tenno find patient guidance, gets a Relic group into one compatible four-person squad, lets officers recruit without conflating Discord and Clan membership, and gives advanced players enough information to know whether they are ready before joining.

Start Your Server prepares the Discord foundation. YourBot’s built-in services run the community workflows around it. Warframe remains responsible for progression, matchmaking, Cross Platform Save, Clan membership, Dojo research, inventory, and mission results.

Start with the smallest complete member journey, test it with ordinary accounts, and expand through Plugin Builder only when the community develops a persistent workflow that the built-ins do not already solve.
