/beacon open reopens an event that was closed, cancelled, completed or archived. event_id is the event number. The event goes back to open, its posted card is refreshed, and only you see the reply: "🔓 Title is open for signups again!"
The bot applies your Command Access rules first. The event must be in this server ("Event not found."), and only the organizer or a member with Manage Server can reopen it ("Only the event organizer or a server manager can reopen events."). If the event is already open the bot replies "Event is already open."
Good to know
- Reopening does not change the start time. If that time has already passed, the bot marks the event complete again a few minutes later. Use Recover Event on the event's dashboard page instead: it reopens the event and sends you to the editor to pick a new date.
- Reopening refreshes the card's text but does not put the removed sign-up buttons back. To let members sign up again, open the event on the dashboard and use Repost to Discord, which posts a fresh card with buttons.
- Reminders that came due while the event was closed go out on the bot's next check, as long as the event has not started.
- The sign-ups the event had when it was closed or cancelled are still there.
