Updated September 2026
A good VALORANT Discord should help players find the right five-stack, separate PC and console matchmaking correctly, organize Premier or community teams, schedule practice, share patch notes, and keep competitive discussion from turning into rank manipulation, account sharing, or harassment. YourBot can build that foundation with Start Your Server, then run the recurring Discord workflows through its ten built-in services.
VALORANT is Riot Games’ 5v5 character-based tactical shooter. Its competitive structure makes Discord especially useful because the difference between “we need one more player,” “we are building a Premier roster,” “we want a casual console group,” and “we are running a community tournament” is meaningful.
The platform split matters too. VALORANT is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, but Riot intentionally does not use cross-play between PC and console. PlayStation and Xbox console players can compete in the console pool, while PC remains separate. That means one shared Discord can serve the whole community—but its group-finding and competitive workflows should not pretend every member can queue together.
As of September 2026, VALORANT is also moving quickly. Season 26 Act V is active, Patch 13.05 is live, Riot has just revealed the new 16-player Gauntlet: Glitched mode, and another major update is imminent. Build the permanent Discord around stable community needs rather than every temporary mode or current map rotation.
Editorial disclosure: This guide is published by YourBot.gg. VALORANT facts are based on current Riot Games and official VALORANT documentation. YourBot-specific behavior is based on current product behavior and read-only repository review. VALORANT is a live-service game, so queues, maps, Premier rules, competitive restrictions, progression, and platform features may change after publication.
What Makes a VALORANT Discord Different?
VALORANT communities usually contain several overlapping groups:
- Ranked players looking for teammates
- Casual Unrated and Swiftplay players
- PC and console players who cannot enter the same matchmaking pool
- Players learning Agents and maps
- Five-stacks
- Premier teams
- Community scrim teams
- Competitive event organizers
- VCT/esports fans
- New players trying to understand roles
- Content creators and streamers
The Discord needs enough structure to separate those needs without recreating the entire VALORANT client.
The four Agent roles are the right permanent categories
Riot currently organizes Agents into four role families:
- Duelist
- Controller
- Sentinel
- Initiator
Those make much better Discord interest roles than creating one permanent Discord role and channel for every Agent.
Agents change. New Agents arrive. Balance updates change the meta.
The four role families are much more stable.
Standard VALORANT is 5v5—but not every mode is
VALORANT’s core tactical format is 5v5.
That makes five a sensible default for normal team and Competitive group templates.
But do not make “5 players” a universal Discord assumption.
Riot regularly ships different formats. The newly revealed Gauntlet: Glitched uses 16 players across eight teams, while earlier experimental modes have used 1v1 and 2v2 formats.
Create permanent workflows around:
- Ranked / Competitive
- Casual
- Team practice
- Premier
- Custom games
Use temporary posts for limited-time modes.
The Community We Will Build
This guide uses a fictional VALORANT community called Clutch House [CLH].
Clutch House has about 300 Discord members and supports:
- PC players
- PlayStation 5 players
- Xbox Series X|S players
- Casual groups
- Ranked groups
- New-player coaching
- PC Premier teams
- Community scrims
- VCT watch parties
- Community tournaments
The Discord is shared.
The actual matchmaking workflows are split correctly by platform.
YourBot Services We Will Use
| YourBot service | VALORANT use |
|---|---|
| Welcome | Verification, PC/console roles, Agent-role interests, rank/queue interests |
| Sentinel | Spam, phishing, harassment, boosting ads, account-sale scams, raid protection |
| Tickets | Team applications, staff contact, reports, appeals, tournament applications |
| Beacon Events | Premier practice, scrims, tournaments, coaching, watch parties |
| Group Finder | Ranked stacks, casual groups, console groups, customs forming now |
| Join-to-Create Voice | Temporary five-stack, duo, coaching, and team rooms |
| Announcements | Practice schedules, tournaments, community notices |
| Social Feeds | Dedicated Riot VALORANT patch-note feed |
| Analytics | Discord participation, retention, voice use, channel health |
| Giveaways | Optional community prizes and watch-party events |
Step 1: Build the Foundation With Start Your Server
Start Your Server can create or reorganize channels, roles, permission overwrites, starter content, and supported YourBot service settings.
For an existing VALORANT community, make the first pass additive. Do not delete the existing LFG, team, or tournament workflow until members have tested the replacement.
Copy-ready Start Your Server prompt
Create or reorganize this Discord server for a 300-member VALORANT community
called Clutch House.
The community supports PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
PC and console players must be clearly separated for matchmaking because
VALORANT does not support PC-versus-console cross-play. PlayStation and Xbox
console players may use the shared console LFG workflow.
Create onboarding with:
- welcome
- rules
- verification
- platform roles
- community region roles
- Agent-role interests
- queue interests
- notification roles
Platform roles:
PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S
Agent-role interests:
Duelist, Controller, Sentinel, Initiator, Flexible
Queue interests:
Competitive, Casual, Premier, Customs, Coaching, Esports
Treat role selections as interests only. Do not present a Discord role as
proof of rank, skill, Agent mastery, or team acceptance.
Create public areas for:
general chat, new-player help, Agent discussion, map/tactics discussion,
clips, PC LFG, console LFG, teams, practice, customs, Premier, esports,
patch notes, and community events.
Premier should be treated as a PC-focused workflow based on current Riot
availability. Do not imply console members can join PC Premier teams.
Create private staff areas for:
member reports, team applications, tournament administration, moderation,
event planning, coaching applications, and staff logs.
Configure Welcome, Tickets, Sentinel, Beacon Events, Group Finder,
Join-to-Create Voice, Analytics, Announcements, Giveaways, and Social Feeds.
Use Join-to-Create Voice for temporary parties and practice rooms.
Do not create one permanent channel for every Agent, map, rank, or temporary
mode. Use roles, threads, Forums, Group Finder listings, and event posts.
If the server already exists, do not delete or rename current live channels
during the first build. Stage the replacement beside them for testing.

Do not automatically assign a rank role from self-selection and call it verified.
If your community wants rank roles, label them clearly as:
- self-reported,
- manually checked,
- or externally verified through a supported process.
Step 2: Configure Welcome Around the Platform Split
Open Plugins → Welcome.
The most important onboarding question is:
PC or console?
Riot deliberately keeps PC and console matchmaking separate.
Riot’s Vanguard documentation explains that PC-console cross-play was not implemented because console has aim assist and Riot wanted to preserve competitive integrity. Mouse-and-keyboard input is also not allowed for normal console play.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players share the console environment.
Recommended onboarding
Example message:
Welcome to Clutch House.
Choose your platform before using LFG.
PC players:
Use PC groups and PC team channels.
PlayStation / Xbox:
Use Console LFG. Console players can play with each other, but not against
the PC matchmaking pool.
Then choose your Agent-role interests and the queues you care about.
Role interests should be descriptive, not restrictive
If someone chooses @Controller, that means:
I like playing Controllers.
It does not mean:
I must play Controller in every five-stack.
Allow @Flexible.
That is useful for members who fill around team composition.
Regions
Region and latency matter, but Riot account shards and data centers can change.
Use region roles that match your actual community.
For example:
@NA@EU@LATAM@BR@APAC
Label these as community matching regions, not as a permanent authoritative list of Riot infrastructure.
Step 3: Use Sentinel for Competitive Integrity and Community Safety
VALORANT’s competitive environment creates some Discord moderation problems that are more specific than normal spam.
In July 2026 Riot expanded its systems for detecting and penalizing:
- boosting,
- win-trading,
- stream sniping,
- rank manipulation.
Patch 13.05 also began rolling out penalties for detected stream-sniping and instalock tools.
Your Discord should not become a marketplace for the behavior Riot is actively targeting.
Rules worth enforcing
Use Sentinel to help manage:
- phishing
- account-sale advertisements
- boosting services
- account-sharing services
- cheat advertisements
- “rank service” spam
- stream-sniping coordination
- harassment
- hate speech
- repeated recruitment spam
- malicious links
- mass mentions
- raid behavior
Start new automated rules in log-only or dry-run mode where practical.
Riot’s current fair-play rules are useful community guidance
Riot’s July 2026 fair-play article explicitly says normal five-stacking with friends is allowed—even across different ranks.
It separately lists behavior that is not allowed, including:
- sharing accounts,
- purchasing accounts,
- borrowing accounts,
- stealing accounts,
- intentionally lowering rank,
- knowingly queueing in manipulative setups.
That gives your Discord a clean policy:
Playing with friends is welcome. Selling or coordinating rank manipulation is not.
Discord moderation is not Riot enforcement
Your moderators can ban someone from the Discord.
Riot controls VALORANT account penalties.
Do not claim a Sentinel case proves someone cheated in-game.
Step 4: Use Tickets for Team Recruitment, Reports, and Tournament Staff
VALORANT communities frequently need structured applications.
Create separate Ticket panels for:
- Team recruitment
- Premier roster applications
- Coaching applications
- Community tournament registration
- Member reports
- Moderation appeals
- Staff applications
Team recruitment form
Ask:
Riot ID
Platform
Community region
Current rank (optional / self-reported)
Preferred Agent roles
Primary Agents
Availability
Competitive goals
Voice communication available?
Looking for Ranked, Premier, Scrims, or Casual?
Do not ask for a Riot password or account credentials.
Premier application
Current 2026 Riot patch notes continue to describe Premier under PC-only sections.
Treat Premier recruitment as PC-focused unless Riot changes that.
Riot’s published Premier Launch FAQ describes teams with:
- at least 5 players,
- up to 7 on the roster,
- 5 eligible players required to queue.
Confirm the current in-client rules before each Stage rather than assuming older scheduling, qualification score, or division details never change.
Player reports
Create a private report workflow for:
- harassment,
- Discord threats,
- scam links,
- account-selling spam,
- tournament cheating concerns,
- staff concerns.
For suspected in-game cheating, tell members to use Riot’s in-game reporting systems as well.
Step 5: Use Beacon for Scheduled Team Activity
Use Beacon Events when the activity has a date and planned attendance.
Useful events:
- Premier practice
- Premier match reminder
- Scrim
- Community tournament
- VOD review
- Agent-role workshop
- Map review
- Aim / mechanics session
- New-player coaching
- Custom 5v5
- VCT watch party
Example: Premier practice
Title: Premier Practice — PC
Category: PvP
Signup:
- Starting Five
- Substitute
- Coach
- Observer
If the team has a fixed roster, staff can manually assign who belongs in each category rather than letting anyone self-select Starter.
Example: Controller workshop
Title: Controller Fundamentals
Signup:
- Learning
- Teaching
- Observer
Use the event description for the currently relevant maps rather than permanent map roles.
Example: VCT watch party
Title: Champions Shanghai Watch Party
Signup:
- Watching
- Co-stream / commentary
Keep esports events separate from competitive-team practice.
Step 6: Build Platform-Specific Group Finder Templates
YourBot’s current Group Finder automatic game detection does not include VALORANT.
That is separate from Social Feeds, which already has a dedicated VALORANT source.
Create LFG templates manually.
Template 1: PC Competitive Five-Stack
- Game:
VALORANT - Activity:
Competitive — PC - Party size:
5 - Platform: PC
- Experience labels: rank bands or
Any / Learning / Serious - Join mode: Open or Request
- Expiry: 1–2 hours
Description:
Region: NA
Current party: 3/5
Rank range: self-reported
Looking for: Controller / Initiator / Flexible
Voice: Required
Goal: Competitive, play to win, no toxicity
Template 2: Console Competitive
- Activity:
Competitive — Console - Platform: Console
- Party size: 5
- Description should identify PlayStation/Xbox if relevant
Do not mix this with PC.
Template 3: Casual / Swiftplay
Use:
- party size: 5
- experience: Any
- join mode: Open
- short expiry
This is ideal for:
- new members,
- warmups,
- casual play,
- people who do not want rank requirements.
Template 4: Custom 5v5
Use this for:
- internal scrims,
- tournament warmups,
- community customs.
Party size in one listing may represent one team.
For a complete 10-player custom lobby, use Beacon when you want scheduled attendance.
Template 5: Duo / Trio Ranked
VALORANT players frequently look for one or two partners rather than a full five.
Create:
- Duo
- Trio
- Five-stack
as separate templates if your community uses them heavily.
Rank labels
Avoid creating eighteen granular labels.
Use broad community filters, such as:
New
Iron–Silver
Gold–Platinum
Diamond–Ascendant
Immortal+
Any Rank
Premier
These are community matching labels, not Riot-verified ranks unless you actually verify them.
My VALORANT Card
Riot launched My VALORANT Card in June 2026 as an official way for players to present information and find potential squadmates based on factors such as rank, roles, or social fit.
Members can optionally link their Card in an LFG listing.
Do not require third-party stat sites when Riot’s own social tools already solve part of the problem.
Step 7: Use Join-to-Create Voice for Parties and Teams
A VALORANT Discord with static rooms such as:
- Ranked 1
- Ranked 2
- Ranked 3
- Swiftplay 1
- Duo 1
will fill the sidebar with empty channels.
Use Join-to-Create Voice.
Recommended settings:
- Lobby:
➕ Create a Party Room - Category:
Temporary Parties - Name:
🎧 {display_name} - Delete when empty: enabled
- Creator ownership: enabled
- Auto-transfer ownership: enabled
- Owner panel: enabled
Members can rename rooms to:
- PC Ranked
- Console Ranked
- Premier Practice
- Coaching
- Customs
Permanent voice rooms still make sense for
- Team Practice
- Tournament Admin
- Watch Party
- Staff
- Community Hangout
Discord voice versus VALORANT voice
Discord can be useful for persistent team communication.
VALORANT’s own voice system still matters for:
- pickup teammates,
- players outside your Discord,
- normal match communication.
Do not require Discord voice in every public LFG unless that is a clearly stated community rule.
Step 8: Use Announcements for Recurring Community Schedules
Start Your Server can enable Announcements, but schedules are created manually.
Weekly competitive schedule
**Clutch House — This Week**
Tuesday: New Player Coaching
Thursday: PC Premier Practice
Friday: Community Customs
Sunday: VCT Watch Party
Use #group-listings for groups forming now.
Use #event-signups for scheduled events.
Tournament reminder
Community 5v5 registration closes tomorrow.
Team captains:
Submit the tournament form before the deadline.
Do not share Riot account passwords with tournament staff.
Premier reminders
Do not copy a permanent Premier time into a recurring announcement.
Premier schedules vary by Zone and Stage.
Use the current in-client schedule as the source of truth, then create the matching Beacon event or one-time announcement.
Step 9: Use the Dedicated VALORANT Social Feed
YourBot already includes VALORANT in its curated game catalog.
The current source is not a generic Steam or RSS feed.
It uses a dedicated Riot VALORANT source that follows the official VALORANT patch-notes area.
The inspected implementation:
- uses Riot’s official
playvalorant.compatch-note pages, - enriches recent entries with Riot’s article metadata,
- defaults to a 1,800-second polling interval,
- categorizes the source as patch notes.
Recommended setup
- Source:
Valorant - Destination:
#patch-notes - Optional ping:
@Patch Notes
This is more appropriate than asking staff to paste every patch manually.
Important limitation
The built-in source is specifically a patch-note feed.
Do not describe it as a complete feed for:
- every esports article,
- every skin trailer,
- every developer video,
- every VCT announcement.
For major esports or community news, staff can post the relevant Riot article manually.
Why this matters in September 2026
Riot’s latest official news already illustrates how quickly things change:
- Patch 13.05 went live September 1.
- Champions Shanghai Pick’Ems are active.
- Gauntlet: Glitched was revealed September 14.
- Riot is teasing another major 2026 update.
A Discord should distribute this information without rebuilding its structure around each announcement.
Step 10: Use Analytics for Community Health, Not Rank Evaluation
YourBot Analytics measures Discord activity.
Useful questions include:
- Are new members participating?
- Is PC LFG or console LFG more active?
- Which region needs more events?
- Are coaching nights bringing members back?
- Is
#agents-and-compsuseful? - Does voice activity increase around team practice?
- Are tournament channels active only during events?
Exclude
- moderation logs,
- private Ticket content,
- team-application review,
- automated patch-note channels,
- tournament staff rooms.
Analytics does not know
- RR
- hidden MMR
- K/D
- ACS
- headshot percentage
- Premier score
- rank
- win rate
- Agent win rate
- Vanguard status
Do not use Discord message count as evidence that someone deserves a team spot.
Step 11: Giveaways Should Not Imply Riot Entitlement Fulfillment
YourBot Giveaways can run optional community drawings.
Appropriate examples:
- community merchandise,
- approved sponsor items,
- gaming peripherals,
- platform/store gift cards where appropriate.
Do not imply the Discord bot can automatically grant:
- VALORANT Points,
- skins,
- Battlepass progression,
- rank,
- Riot account rewards.
unless you have a legitimate fulfillment method and current Riot rules allow it.
Publish clear eligibility and prize terms.
Premier Needs Its Own Discord Workflow
Premier deserves special handling because it is more structured than normal ranked play.
Current 2026 patch notes continue to place Premier changes under PC-only sections.
For a PC community, create:
🏆 PREMIER
├── #premier-info
├── #premier-recruitment
├── #premier-schedule
├── #premier-practice
└── #premier-review
Do not make all five channels public if only a small number of teams use them.
A Forum can work better:
- one post per team,
- team captain,
- roster,
- Zone,
- role needs,
- practice times,
- recruitment status.
Keep Premier roster and Discord team membership separate
A Discord @Premier Team role does not add someone to the actual Riot Premier roster.
Likewise, removing the Discord role does not remove them from Premier.
Team Captains should maintain both systems intentionally.
Do not hard-code Stage scoring
Riot adjusts Premier qualification details.
For example, Patch 13.00 documented a 600 Premier Score playoff threshold for Stage V26A4, while older Stages used different structures.
Put current numbers in the event or team post—not the permanent server guide.
Platform Separation: One Discord, Two Matchmaking Worlds
A shared VALORANT Discord is practical.
A shared matchmaking pool is not.
PC
Use PC-specific:
- Competitive LFG
- Premier
- PC scrims
- PC team recruitment
Console
Use console-specific:
- Competitive LFG
- PlayStation/Xbox groups
- console coaching
- console customs
Riot’s anti-cheat team says the platform split is intentional: console aim assist plus mouse-level input would damage competitive integrity, so PC-console cross-play is not implemented.
Do not make a member discover this only after joining a Group Finder listing.
Put platform on every competitive template.
Community Rules Should Match Riot’s Fair-Play Direction
A useful VALORANT Discord rule section should prohibit:
- cheating tools,
- instalock automation tools,
- stream-sniping tools,
- boosting services,
- account selling,
- account sharing,
- win-trading,
- rank manipulation,
- harassment,
- hate speech,
- doxxing,
- phishing,
- malicious Riot-login pages.
Riot’s July 2026 guidance is especially useful because it distinguishes ordinary play from manipulation.
Five-stacking with friends of different ranks is not itself prohibited.
Manipulating ranks or sharing accounts is.
That distinction keeps the community from becoming unnecessarily hostile toward normal friend groups.
A Complete First-Week Workflow
Day 1: New member
A member joins.
They:
- verify,
- choose
@PC, - choose
@NA, - choose
@Controllerand@Flexible, - choose
@Competitive, - opt into
@LFG Alerts.
They immediately know which LFG pool applies.
Day 2: Ranked group
They create:
Title: NA PC Competitive
Current: 3/5
Rank band: Gold–Platinum
Need: Initiator / Flexible
Voice: Preferred
The listing expires after the session.
Day 3: Coaching
A Coach creates:
Title: Controller Fundamentals
Signup:
- Learning
- Teaching
- Observer
Beacon handles the schedule.
Day 4: Team recruitment
The member applies to a community team.
Staff review the form privately.
Acceptance grants a Discord team role only after the captain approves.
Day 5: Patch notes
YourBot’s dedicated VALORANT feed posts a Riot patch-note item.
Staff create a discussion thread instead of letting #patch-notes become general chat.
Day 6: Community custom
Beacon schedules a 5v5 custom.
Group Finder fills late substitutes if needed.
Join-to-Create Voice gives each side or practice group temporary rooms.
Day 7: Review
Staff check:
- PC vs console LFG use,
- event attendance,
- Ticket backlog,
- Sentinel cases,
- voice activity,
- new-member retention,
- unused channels.
Do not judge player skill from Discord activity.
Optional Plugin Builder Project: Team Practice & Review Board
The AI Plugin Builder becomes useful when a VALORANT community needs a team workflow beyond normal events and LFG.
A Team Practice & Review Board is a strong fit.
It supports competitive teams without pretending to access Riot’s private matchmaking systems.
Copy-ready Plugin Builder prompt
Create a VALORANT Team Practice & Review Board plugin for YourBot.
The plugin manages Discord-side competitive team organization.
Administrators configure:
- Team Captain role
- Coach role
- Team review channel
- optional public team directory channel
Each team stores:
- team name
- platform: PC or Console
- community region
- captain
- optional coach
- preferred Agent-role needs
- status: Recruiting, Active, Paused, Archived
- public description
Team members can be added to a Discord-side roster.
For a scheduled practice session, store:
- date/time
- practice type: Ranked Stack, Custom, Scrim, Premier, VOD Review, Coaching
- map focus
- Agent composition notes
- objective for the session
- attendance status
- optional opponent / partner team
- optional replay or VOD link
- post-session notes
Add commands:
- /team-create
- /team-list
- /team-view
- /team-join-request
- /practice-create
- /practice-attend
- /practice-review
Add a dashboard for captains and coaches.
Privacy:
- public team summaries show only approved fields
- private practice notes are visible only to team members, coaches, and staff
- individual feedback can be marked private to the player and coach
Do not request Riot passwords or authentication tokens.
Do not log into Riot accounts.
Do not claim to read live Competitive rank, RR, hidden MMR, Premier Score,
Vanguard status, match history, or Agent statistics unless a future approved
Riot API integration is explicitly added.
Do not automatically add or remove players from Riot Premier teams.
A PC Premier practice type may be offered, but label the Riot Premier roster
as external to this Discord plugin.
Store all records per Discord server and keep an audit log for staff changes.
Why this is better than rebuilding Beacon
Use:
- Team Practice Board for persistent teams and review notes
- Beacon for scheduled attendance
- Group Finder for last-minute players
- Voice for the active session
- Tickets for recruitment applications
- Announcements for weekly summaries
Each tool owns one layer.
A Future Riot API Integration Should Be Separate
Riot has developer APIs, but a public Discord plugin should not casually promise live VALORANT rank or match data without checking the current API contract, production-key requirements, rate limits, regional routing, and Riot developer policies.
If a future plugin needs Riot data:
- Define the exact endpoint and approved use.
- Use Riot IDs rather than passwords.
- Never request a player’s Riot login credentials.
- Store only required data.
- Explain refresh timing.
- Respect rate limits.
- Make clear whether data is live, cached, or manually entered.
Version 1 of the Team Practice Board does not need an API at all.
That is safer and easier to maintain.
Common Setup Mistakes
Mixing PC and console LFG
Riot intentionally separates them.
Creating one role for every Agent
Use Duelist, Controller, Sentinel, Initiator, and Flexible.
Treating Agent role as a locked position
Players can flex.
Using a permanent channel for every temporary mode
Gauntlet: Glitched is a good example of why Forums and temporary posts are better.
Treating Discord rank roles as verified
Label the source of rank information.
Assuming Premier works the same on console
Current 2026 Riot patch notes place Premier under PC-only updates.
Hard-coding Premier qualification scores
They change by Stage.
Allowing boosting advertisements because “five-stacking is allowed”
Normal five-stacking and coordinated rank manipulation are not the same thing.
Using Analytics as a skill ranking
Discord participation is not VALORANT performance.
Saying the VALORANT Social Feed includes all Riot news
The inspected YourBot source follows patch notes specifically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is VALORANT cross-platform?
VALORANT is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
PlayStation and Xbox console players can play in the console pool.
Riot does not support PC-versus-console cross-play.
Why is PC-console cross-play separated?
Riot says this is for competitive integrity. Console gameplay uses aim assist, while normal console mouse-and-keyboard play is not allowed.
How large is a normal VALORANT team?
The core tactical game is 5v5.
Limited-time modes can use different structures, so do not apply 5v5 to every mode.
What Agent roles should a Discord use?
Duelist, Controller, Sentinel, and Initiator. Add Flexible for members who fill.
Is Premier on console?
Current 2026 Riot patch notes continue to place Premier under PC-only sections. Treat Premier as a PC workflow unless Riot announces otherwise.
How many players can be on a Premier roster?
Riot’s published Premier Launch FAQ describes a minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 players, with 5 eligible players required to queue. Confirm current rules in-client before each Stage.
Does YourBot Group Finder automatically detect VALORANT?
Not in the currently inspected auto-detection list. Create VALORANT templates manually.
Does YourBot have a VALORANT news feed?
Yes. The current Social Feeds catalog has a dedicated VALORANT entry using Riot’s official patch-note site.
How often does the VALORANT feed check?
The inspected source defaults to a 1,800-second polling interval.
Does the feed include every VCT or Riot article?
No. The inspected source is specifically designed around VALORANT patch notes.
Can YourBot verify my VALORANT rank?
Not through the built-in Discord services described here.
If your community needs Riot API data, build or install a properly reviewed integration rather than collecting account credentials.
Can I use Discord to build a Premier team?
Yes for recruitment, practice, scheduling, and communication. The actual Premier roster remains managed inside VALORANT.
Final Verdict
VALORANT communities benefit from Discord because the game is team-oriented, platform-sensitive, competitively structured, and constantly changing.
The most important design decision is to respect the real matchmaking boundaries:
- PC groups stay PC.
- PlayStation and Xbox can share console LFG.
- Premier is currently treated as PC-focused.
- Agent roles are preferences, not permanent jobs.
- Competitive rank is not inferred from Discord activity.
Use Start Your Server to create the foundation:
- onboarding,
- platform roles,
- region roles,
- Agent-role interests,
- PC and console LFG,
- team spaces,
- coaching,
- event channels,
- private staff workflows.
Then give each YourBot service one job:
- Welcome for onboarding
- Sentinel for community safety and anti-scam rules
- Tickets for applications and private reports
- Beacon for practices, scrims, tournaments, and watch parties
- Group Finder for stacks forming now
- Join-to-Create Voice for temporary teams
- Announcements for recurring community schedules
- Social Feeds for Riot patch notes
- Analytics for Discord community health
- Giveaways for optional community events
Use the Plugin Builder only when the community needs a persistent workflow—such as a Team Practice & Review Board—that the built-in services do not already provide.
That keeps the Discord useful whether the current obsession is Competitive, Premier, coaching, VCT, or whatever mode Riot ships next.
