Updated September 2026
A good Black Desert Online guild Discord should do more than collect announcements and screenshots. It should help a guild recruit the right Adventurers, organize Node Wars and Guild League, schedule guild bosses, coordinate party content, support life skillers, and give officers a clear place to manage the community. YourBot can build that foundation with Start Your Server, then run the recurring Discord workflows through its ten built-in services.
Black Desert is especially well suited to a structured Discord because guild activity spans very different play styles. One guild may run Node Wars several nights per week, another may focus on life skills and sailing, while a PvX guild may organize Guild Boss Subjugation, party grinding, Guild League, Black Shrine groups, Atoraxxion, and casual social events at the same time.
The game also continues to change. In 2026 Pearl Abyss introduced the Guild Fame system, expanded guild mission availability, refreshed Guild League, added new guild bosses, and continued adjusting Node War and Conquest War systems. A Discord layout built around permanent community functions will survive those changes better than one built around a single patch.
This guide uses a fictional PC guild as the example, then explains what to change for console communities.
Editorial disclosure: This guide is published by YourBot.gg. Black Desert facts are based on current Pearl Abyss, Black Desert NA/EU, Black Desert Console, and Steam documentation. YourBot-specific setup is based on current product behavior and read-only repository review. Black Desert is updated frequently, so game rules, participant caps, guild systems, and schedules may change after publication.
Before You Build: Decide Whether the Discord Is for PC or Console
This decision matters more in Black Desert than it does in many games.
Black Desert Console currently supports cross-play between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S when players are in the same regional server. Pearl Abyss lists NA, EU, and ASIA as the console regions.
PC is a separate ecosystem.
Do not build one combined recruitment roster that implies PC, PlayStation, and Xbox members can all join the same in-game guild.
A multi-platform fan community can absolutely share one Discord, but separate:
- PC guild recruitment
- Console guild recruitment
- PC event roles
- Console event roles
- Region roles
- Platform-specific news and guides
This guide follows a PC NA guild called Ashen Compass [AC]. Console guilds can use the same structure with PS5/Xbox roles and the console region model.
The Guild We Will Build
Ashen Compass is a fictional 90-member PvX guild.
Its community includes:
- New and returning Adventurers
- PvE grinders
- Life skillers
- Node War participants
- Guild League players
- Guild Boss regulars
- Sailing and ocean-content players
- Black Shrine and party-content groups
- Officers who organize recruitment and events
The guild is active enough to need organization but not so large that every activity requires its own permanent Discord category.
YourBot Services We Will Use
| YourBot service | Black Desert use |
|---|---|
| Welcome | Verification, region/play-style roles, newcomer guidance |
| Sentinel | Spam, scam links, RMT advertising, harassment, raid protection |
| Tickets | Guild applications, reports, appeals, officer contact |
| Beacon Events | Node War attendance, Guild League, guild bosses, Black Shrine, Atoraxxion |
| Group Finder | Near-term grinding groups, boss groups, party content, sailing groups |
| Join-to-Create Voice | Temporary party, grind, PvP, and life-skill rooms |
| Announcements | War schedules, weekly guild plans, recruitment notices |
| Social Feeds | Black Desert publisher announcements through the built-in Black Desert catalog entry |
| Analytics | Discord participation, voice activity, retention, channel usefulness |
| Giveaways | Optional community prizes and social events |
The goal is not to turn every in-game system into a Discord automation. The Discord should own communication and coordination; Black Desert should remain the source of truth for game-side membership, guild authority, Guild Fame, wages, combat results, and progression.
Step 1: Build the Foundation With Start Your Server
Start Your Server can create or reorganize channels, categories, roles, permission overwrites, starter content, and supported YourBot service settings.
For an existing guild Discord, use an add-only first pass. Do not delete old recruitment, war, or officer channels until staff have tested the replacement workflow.
Copy-ready Start Your Server prompt
Create or reorganize this Discord server for a 90-member Black Desert Online
PC NA PvX guild called Ashen Compass.
The guild includes new and returning players, PvE grinders, life skillers,
Node War players, Guild League players, Guild Boss participants, and sailing
players.
Create a compact onboarding flow with welcome, rules, how-to-start,
verification, guild application, play-style roles, class-interest roles,
and opt-in notification roles.
Create public areas for general chat, new-player help, builds and classes,
PvE grinding, life skills, sailing, guild content, PvP, screenshots, and
official game updates.
Create an operations area for scheduled guild events, Node War planning,
Guild League, Guild Boss nights, party finder listings, Black Shrine,
Atoraxxion, and after-action discussion.
Create private officer areas for applications, attendance planning,
incident reports, moderation logs, recruitment notes, and war planning.
Configure Welcome, Tickets, Sentinel, Beacon Events, Group Finder,
Join-to-Create Voice, Analytics, Announcements, Giveaways, and Social Feeds.
Use one permanent officer/war voice room and one Join-to-Create lobby for
temporary grind parties, PvP groups, and social rooms.
Do not create one permanent Discord channel for every Black Desert class
or every grind zone. Use roles, forum posts, threads, Beacon events, and
Group Finder templates instead.
If this is an existing server, do not delete, rename, or overwrite the
current live structure during the first build. Stage replacements beside it
so officers can test them before cutover.

Why not a channel for every class?
Black Desert has a large class roster and continues adding classes. The 2026 Heidel Ball introduced Agent as the 31st class at the time of that announcement.
A channel for every class will become harder to navigate than #classes-and-builds with threads or Forum posts.
Use Discord roles for class interest only when members genuinely use them for:
- Questions
- Mentoring
- Pingable class discussion
- PvP composition planning
Do not create 30-plus roles solely because the classes exist.
Suggested Discord roles
Access and staff
@Verified@Recruit@Guild Member@Officer@Guild Master@Event Lead@Node War Lead@Guild Boss Lead@Moderator
Play-style interests
@PvE@Life Skill@Node War@Guild League@Sailing@Guild Bosses@Party Content@New Player Mentor
Optional notification roles
@War Alerts@Guild Boss Alerts@Guild Event Alerts@Patch Notes@Recruitment Alerts
Do not mirror every in-game permission into Discord
Black Desert has its own guild ranks, authorities, contracts, guild funds, guild mount permissions, and war controls.
A Discord role should grant Discord access only.
For example:
@Node War Leadcan see private Discord planning.- It does not grant any in-game guild authority.
- Removing the Discord role does not revoke game-side authority.
- Promoting someone in-game does not automatically make them a Discord officer.
Maintain both systems deliberately.
Review the layout before building
Use Start Your Server’s preview tools to check the server as:
- Unverified newcomer
- Recruit
- Guild Member
- Node War participant
- Officer
A recruit should be able to read the guild rules and application status without seeing officer notes or private war planning.
Keep the first build conservative and review the generated safety warnings before applying changes.
Step 2: Configure Welcome Around Guild Onboarding
Open Plugins → Welcome.
A Black Desert newcomer may be joining Discord before joining the in-game guild. That distinction should be visible.
Recommended access model
Use:
@Verifiedfor Discord access@Recruitfor an accepted applicant awaiting or completing game-side onboarding@Guild Memberonly after an officer confirms actual guild membership
This prevents a Discord application from being mistaken for an in-game guild invitation.
Verification message
Welcome to Ashen Compass.
We are a Black Desert Online PC NA PvX guild.
Verify below, then choose your play-style interests and notification roles.
If you want to join the in-game guild, submit an application in
#guild-application.
Discord acceptance and in-game guild membership are separate steps.
Ask for stable identity information in the application, not public chat
Black Desert guild profiles expose Family Name as a core guild-member identifier.
Ask for Family Name during recruitment rather than relying only on the currently played character name.
Useful onboarding fields include:
- Family Name
- Region
- Main play style
- Typical play times
- PvE / Life / PvP interests
- Whether they are new, returning, or established
- Whether they want Node War or Guild League
- Preferred communication method
Do not make gear score or AP/DP public by default. If a PvP guild needs current requirements, collect them privately and explain why.
Optional newcomer buddy system
Welcome’s buddy features can work well for BDO because new and returning players often need help with:
- Season / progression questions
- Gear systems
- Life skills
- Guild missions
- Party content
- Boss schedules
- Node War basics
Configure a @New Player Mentor pool and keep the buddy role voluntary.
Test Welcome
Use a non-admin account and confirm:
- Verification grants only the intended Discord access.
@Recruitdoes not expose officer channels.- Interest roles do not grant staff permissions.
- Welcome DMs do not contain private guild information.
- Rejoining behaves predictably.
Step 3: Configure Sentinel for a Trading-Heavy MMO Community
Black Desert communities regularly share links about builds, grind spots, guides, market information, streams, events, and guild recruitment.
That means the server needs scam protection without blocking legitimate resources.
Rules worth reviewing
- Duplicate-message spam
- Mention floods
- Suspicious links
- Fake Pearl / coupon / login pages
- Account-selling advertisements
- Real-money-trading advertising
- Cheat or botting advertisements
- Unapproved Discord invite spam
- Harassment and hate speech
- New-account raid behavior
Start new automated rules in observation or dry-run mode where appropriate.
The current Sentinel service also supports richer conditions and role-aware filtering, so test exemptions rather than making entire channels unmoderated.
Separate guild policy from Pearl Abyss enforcement
Your Discord can prohibit:
- RMT
- Cheat distribution
- Botting promotion
- Account theft
- Harassment
- Doxxing
But YourBot does not ban a Black Desert account.
Discord moderation should document what happened in Discord. Pearl Abyss controls game sanctions.
Test Sentinel
Trigger safe examples with a test account:
- Spam
- An unauthorized invite
- A harmless blocked phrase
- A suspicious-looking test URL on an internal domain you control
Then confirm:
- Correct log
- Correct reason
- Correct warning or timeout
- Correct exemptions
- Appeal path
- No unnecessary punishment stacking
Step 4: Use Tickets for Guild Applications and Private Officer Work
Black Desert guild applications frequently involve information that does not belong in a public channel.
YourBot Tickets can manage:
- Guild applications
- Node War applications
- Guild League applications
- Officer applications
- Private member reports
- Moderation appeals
- Partnership or alliance contact
Guild application form
A Form (review queue — no channel) works well for normal recruitment.
Example fields:
Family Name
Region
Typical play time / time zone
Main play style
PvE / Life / PvP interests
Interested in Node War?
Interested in Guild League?
Interested in Guild Bosses?
New / returning / established?
What are you looking for in a guild?
How did you find us?
If accepted, grant @Recruit, not @Guild Member.
An officer still performs the actual in-game guild process.
PvP application form
For a war-focused roster, optionally collect:
- Preferred class
- Preferred combat role
- Experience with Node War / Conquest War
- Availability
- Current requirements used by the guild
Do not bake a permanent gear requirement into the article or Discord architecture. Black Desert gear progression and stat-limited PvP change over time.
Private report panel
Create a separate panel for:
- Harassment
- RMT or scam reports
- Officer concerns
- Appeal of a Discord action
- Privacy concerns
Restrict those reviews to the appropriate staff team.
Step 5: Use Beacon for Scheduled Guild Content
Use Beacon Events when a Black Desert activity has a date, reminders, planned attendance, or an officer roster.
Good use cases include:
- Node War
- Conquest War
- Guild League
- Guild Boss Subjugation
- War of the Roses planning
- Black Shrine party runs
- Atoraxxion
- Guild sailing nights
- New-player workshops
- Life-skill events
- Community screenshot nights
Example: Node War availability event
Do not treat a Discord signup as the official game roster.
Create:
- Title:
Tuesday Node War Availability - Announcement channel:
#event-signups - Category: PvP
- Date/time: officer-selected
- Max participants: based on the current war plan, not a permanent article value
Suggested signup options:
Available
Late
Maybe
Unavailable
Flex / Backup
If the guild needs role preferences, add:
Main Ball
Flex
Cannon / Utility
Scout
Shotcaller / Leadership
Those are guild-defined assignments, not universal Black Desert roles.
Example: Guild Boss Night
Pearl Abyss continues expanding guild boss content. In August 2026, Gumiho and Duoksini were added as Guild Bosses tied to the new Guild Fame system.
A Beacon event can track who plans to attend without claiming to summon the boss itself.
Example:
Title: Weekly Guild Bosses
Signup: Attending / Maybe / Can't Make It
Description:
Meet at the announced location 15 minutes early.
Check #guild-bosses for the current boss list and officer instructions.
Example: Guild League
Guild League remains active in 2026, and Pearl Abyss continues running Guild League seasons and events.
Use Beacon for:
- Planned roster
- Substitute list
- Match-prep time
- Voice check
- Post-match review
Do not hard-code a historical participant count if the current season rules differ. Use the live in-game Guild League rules as the source of truth.
Beacon versus Group Finder
Use Beacon when attendance planning matters.
Use Group Finder when somebody wants to form a party soon.
Step 6: Create Black Desert Templates in Group Finder
YourBot’s current Group Finder auto-detection table does not include Black Desert.
That is different from Social Feeds, where Black Desert already has a catalog entry.
Create Group Finder templates manually.
Template 1: Party Grind
Black Desert parties can contain up to five Adventurers, but not every grind zone uses the same practical group size.
Recommended fields:
- Game:
Black Desert Online - Activity:
Party Grind - Party size: set for the specific zone
- Region:
NAorEU - Experience:
Learning,Chill,Experienced - Join mode: Open or Request
- Expiry: 1–3 hours
Description example:
Zone: [name]
Server: [channel/server]
Duration: ~2 hours
Requirements: [guild-defined or zone-specific]
Voice: optional
Loot / party notes: [if relevant]
Do not create one generic “5-player grind” template and assume every zone should fill five slots.
Template 2: Black Shrine Party
Pearl Abyss explicitly lists Black Shrine among guild party content in current recruitment material.
Use fields for:
- Boss / content
- Difficulty
- Requirements
- Server
- Start time
- Voice
- Learning or clear group
Template 3: Atoraxxion
Current Atoraxxion co-op content includes five-person modes in relevant biomes.
Create separate templates for the content your guild actually runs rather than a single generic “Dungeon” template.
Template 4: Sailing / Ocean Group
Useful fields:
- Activity
- Ship / role notes
- Departure point
- Duration
- Voice
- New-player friendly?
- Required unlocks
Template 5: Guild Mission Group
The January 2026 update increased the available guild mission pool to 30, with up to 10 recharges per day.
A Discord listing can help members find people for a mission that is already active in-game.
It should not claim to start, complete, or reward the guild mission.
Experience labels
Useful labels include:
New Player
Learning
Casual
Experienced
Progression
Life Skill
PvP
Keep the labels simple enough that members actually use them.
Test Group Finder
Verify:
- Create
- Join
- Leave
- Request approval
- Expiry
- Forum thread creation
- Alerts
- Moderator removal
- Full-group behavior
Step 7: Use Join-to-Create Voice for Parties and Guild Activities
A Black Desert guild can easily accumulate permanent voice channels for:
- Grinding
- PvP
- Sailing
- Life skilling
- Bosses
- Social chat
Most sit empty.
Use Join-to-Create Voice for ad hoc groups.
Recommended setup
- Lobby:
➕ Create a Party Room - Category:
Temporary Parties - Name template:
🎧 {display_name} - Delete when empty: enabled
- Creator owns room: enabled
- Owner control panel: enabled
- Auto-transfer ownership: enabled
Keep permanent voice for:
- War Command
- Officer Voice
- Guild Event
- General Hangout
Room controls
The current YourBot voice service supports room-owner controls such as:
- Rename
- User limit
- Lock
- Hide
- Permit
- Reject
- Kick
- Transfer
- Claim
That is useful for party content and temporary PvP coordination without granting server-wide channel permissions.
Test the full lifecycle
- Join lobby
- Confirm room creation
- Test owner controls
- Transfer ownership
- Leave while others remain
- Empty the room
- Confirm cleanup
Step 8: Configure Announcements Manually
Start Your Server can enable Announcements, but recurring schedules are created manually.
Weekly guild schedule
**Ashen Compass — This Week**
Tuesday — Node War availability
Thursday — Guild League / PvP practice
Saturday — Guild Bosses
Sunday — Party content / new-player help
Use #event-signups for scheduled guild activities.
Use #group-listings for groups forming today.
Recruitment reminder
Recruitment is open.
Applicants should use #guild-application and include their Family Name,
region, usual play time, and main interests.
Discord approval does not automatically join the in-game guild.
Guild Fame reminder
The 2026 Guild Fame system rewards a range of guild activity, including member logins, Guild Missions, Guild Boss Subjugation, Guild League, Node Wars, Conquest War, War of the Roses, and Blue Battlefield.
Use Discord to organize those activities.
Do not use a scheduled post claiming to know the guild’s exact current Fame unless an officer has updated it manually or a supported data source exists.
Step 9: Use the Built-In Black Desert Social Feed Entry
This guide has one major advantage over several game-specific setups: Black Desert already exists in YourBot’s curated Social Feeds catalog.
The inspected catalog maps:
- Name:
Black Desert - Steam App ID:
582660 - Category:
MMO - Source: Steam News
That means a PC Black Desert guild can select the Black Desert tile rather than manually researching the Steam App ID.
Recommended destination
- Channel:
#official-updates - Ping role: optional
@Patch Notes - Poll interval: leave the source recommendation unless staff have a reason to change it
- Include/exclude keywords: use only if needed
The current Steam adapter uses a default 900-second interval and filters toward Steam Community publisher announcements.
Use it for:
- Patch notes
- Publisher announcements
- Update notices mirrored to Steam
It is not guaranteed to include every article published on the Black Desert NA/EU website.
For major guild-system changes, officers should still link the official Pearl Abyss notice when context matters.
Console communities need a different news plan
The Steam tile is a PC news source.
A console guild should use:
- Black Desert Console’s official notices
- A supported RSS or other feed if available and tested
- Manual announcements when no clean supported feed exists
Do not feed PC patch notes into a console guild and assume the content is synchronized.
Step 10: Use Analytics for Community Health, Not Gear Score
YourBot Analytics measures Discord participation.
It can help answer:
- Are new recruits participating?
- Do Life Skill and PvP members use different channels?
- Are Node War events increasing voice activity?
- Which event times work?
- Are newcomers returning after a week?
- Is
#classes-and-buildsuseful? - Are too many channels splitting the same small audience?
Recommended exclusions
Exclude:
#mod-log- Private officer planning
- Ticket transcripts
- Automated feed channels
- Sensitive application review
Do not confuse Discord analytics with game analytics
YourBot Analytics does not know a member’s:
- AP
- DP
- Gear score
- PvP K/D
- Guild League win rate
- Grind speed
- Life Skill Mastery
- Guild contribution
- Guild Fame contribution
Pearl Abyss announced unified PvP rankings and introduced Marni’s Combat Analyzer as game-side systems in 2026. Those are separate from Discord analytics.
Use Discord analytics to improve the community experience, not rank players.
Step 11: Use Giveaways for Community Events, Not In-Game Entitlements
Giveaways are optional.
Appropriate prizes may include:
- Legitimately purchased gift cards
- Community merchandise
- Art commissions
- Clearly described sponsor prizes
Avoid claiming YourBot can automatically deliver:
- Pearls
- Central Market items
- Guild funds
- Guild wages
- In-game gear
- Pearl Shop entitlements
unless your community has a legitimate, supported fulfillment path.
Publish eligibility, dates, prize details, region restrictions, winner selection, and claim instructions.
Build Around the 2026 Guild Fame System
One of the most important Black Desert guild changes in 2026 is Guild Fame.
Pearl Abyss’s Heidel Ball recap listed Guild Fame sources including:
- Member logins
- Guild Missions
- Guild Boss Subjugation
- Guild League
- Node War
- Conquest War
- War of the Roses
- Blue Battlefield
It also listed guild-wide benefits and Fame costs for actions such as war declarations, Guild Boss-related uses, additional Commands to Gather, and other guild functions.
The system went live with the August 6 update.
That makes Discord organization valuable—but it does not mean Discord should try to become the Guild Fame ledger.
A practical approach:
- Beacon schedules guild content.
- Group Finder fills small groups.
- Announcements remind members.
- Tickets handles recruitment.
- Analytics measures Discord participation.
- Officers use the in-game guild UI for actual Guild Fame.
Avoid copying exact Fame totals into Discord unless an officer is intentionally maintaining them.
Recruitment: Discord Should Complement the In-Game Guild System
Black Desert already has an in-game Guild Recruitment system.
Pearl Abyss currently directs unguilded players to the Guild Recruitment window, where guilds can be browsed by categories such as:
- Combat
- Life Skill
- Sailing
- Adventure
The January 2026 update also improved the guild recruitment UI and expanded visibility of recruitment information to guild members.
Your Discord application should therefore answer questions the in-game listing does not handle well:
- Does the culture fit?
- What time is the guild active?
- Is voice required?
- Is Node War optional?
- Are new players welcome?
- Is the guild PvX, life-focused, sailing-focused, or PvP-heavy?
- What does the guild expect from members?
Do not make the Discord application a duplicate of the in-game recruitment panel.
Node War and Conquest War: Keep the Discord Flexible
Node War rules change.
Recent 2026 patches adjusted:
- Stat-limited Node War settings
- Fort tiers
- Participant-limit structures
- Conquest UI
- Guild systems tied to war activity
Avoid designing static Discord roles named after permanent tiers or fixed participant counts.
Use flexible roles:
@Node War@Node War Lead@Flex@Scout@War Alerts
Then put current details in each Beacon event.
Private war-planning channel
Restrict #war-planning to officers and approved war leadership.
Use it for:
- Attendance review
- Current role assignments
- Strategy documents
- Voice structure
- Opposition notes
- Post-war review
Avoid putting passwords, personal account data, or external service credentials in permanent Discord messages.
Guild League: Separate Interest From Active Roster
Guild League is active in 2026, including a regular season launched with the August 27 update and current September events.
Use:
@Guild Leagueas an interest role@Competitive Rosteronly for approved participants- Beacon for match availability
- Private voice for the active team
#after-actionfor review
Do not automatically grant roster status because somebody selected the interest role.
The in-game matchmaking and current season rules remain authoritative.
Guild Bosses: Let Officers Own the Boss State
Current Black Desert guild content includes Guild Boss Subjugation, and August 2026 added Gumiho and Duoksini as new Guild Bosses tied to Guild Fame.
Your Discord should organize:
- Date
- Meet-up location
- Attendance
- Voice
- Officer instructions
It should not claim:
- Which summon is currently available
- Whether the weekly limit is already consumed
- The guild’s exact Guild Fame balance
- Which boss can currently be summoned
unless an officer confirms that information.
Use a pinned officer-maintained post in #guild-bosses for the current week.
Life Skill Guilds Need Different Defaults
Not every BDO guild should look like a Node War guild.
A Life Skill-focused server may replace #node-war and #guild-league with:
🌿 LIFE SKILLS
├── #gathering
├── #cooking-and-alchemy
├── #fishing
├── #training
├── #sailing-and-barter
└── #guild-projects
Use Beacon for:
- Sailing nights
- Khalk hunts
- Guild missions
- Gathering events
- New-player workshops
Use Group Finder for:
- Party hunting
- Sailing groups
- Active guild missions
Use the same Welcome, Sentinel, Tickets, Analytics, and Social Feeds foundation.
Console Guild Adaptation
For a console guild, change the example before building.
Platform roles
@PlayStation 5@Xbox Series X|S
Pearl Abyss says PlayStation and Xbox console players can cross-play when they are in the same region.
Region roles
@NA@EU@ASIA
Do not include PC members in console group listings.
Social Feeds
Do not use the PC Steam Black Desert feed as the only source of console patch information.
Create a console-specific update workflow using currently supported Black Desert Console sources or manual officer announcements.
Separate game-side guilds
A Discord may host both PC and console communities, but create separate:
- application panels
- in-game guild roles
- event channels
- group templates
if the communities do not share the same game environment.
A Complete First-Week Workflow
After the Discord is built, test it like a real guild.
Day 1: New recruit
A member joins.
- Reads
#rules - Verifies
- Chooses
@PvE,@Life Skill, and@Guild Bosses - Chooses
@Guild Event Alerts - Reads
#how-to-start - Submits the guild application with their Family Name
Staff confirm no officer channels are visible.
Day 2: Application review
Officers review the form in Tickets.
If accepted:
- Grant
@Recruit - Send the in-game joining instructions
- Do not grant
@Guild Memberyet
After actual in-game membership is confirmed, promote the Discord role.
Day 3: Party content
The recruit creates:
Title: Black Shrine Party — Learning
Region: NA
Experience: Learning
Starts: 30m
Voice: Optional
The group uses a temporary voice room.
Day 4: Guild Boss event
An officer creates:
Title: Weekly Guild Bosses
Signup: Attending / Maybe / Can't Make It
Officers post the actual current boss plan separately.
Day 5: Node War availability
A war lead creates:
Title: Tuesday Node War Availability
Signup: Available / Late / Maybe / Unavailable / Flex
The Discord event does not replace the in-game participation system.
Day 6: Patch note
The Black Desert Social Feed posts a Steam publisher announcement to #official-updates.
Officers add a separate summary only when the guild needs context.
Day 7: Review
Staff check:
- Verification completion
- Application queue
- Group Finder activity
- Event attendance
- Voice usage
- Sentinel cases
- Channel activity
- Unused notification roles
The review is about the community—not evaluating a member’s Black Desert performance.
Optional Plugin Builder Project: Guild Operations Board
YourBot’s AI Plugin Builder becomes useful when officers want a workflow beyond the ten built-in services.
For Black Desert, a Guild Operations Board can complement Beacon without pretending to read the game.
It tracks officer-maintained weekly objectives rather than trying to automate Guild Fame.
Copy-ready Plugin Builder prompt
Create a Black Desert Online Guild Operations Board plugin.
The plugin is for a Discord guild and tracks officer-created weekly guild
objectives.
Administrators configure an Officer role and an optional public summary channel.
Officers can create objective categories such as:
- Guild Mission
- Guild Boss
- Node War
- Conquest War
- Guild League
- War of the Roses
- Sailing / Ocean
- New Player Event
- Life Skill Event
- Custom
Each objective stores:
- title
- category
- scheduled date/time
- officer owner
- short description
- optional target
- current Discord status: Planned, Active, Completed, Cancelled
- optional public note
- private officer note
Members can use /guild-ops to view approved public objectives.
Officers can create, edit, complete, or cancel objectives from Discord or
a dashboard.
Add an optional "Interested" button for members. Interest is not attendance
and does not grant game roles.
Add a weekly public summary showing:
- upcoming objectives
- completed objectives
- member interest counts
Do not claim to read Guild Fame, guild funds, guild wages, AP/DP, gear score,
Guild League results, Node War results, boss summon availability, or game
account data.
Do not automatically award Discord roles based on in-game performance.
If an officer enters a Guild Fame note manually, label it clearly as
officer-entered and never present it as live game data.
Store all records per Discord server and keep private officer notes visible
only to authorized roles.
Add audit logs for create, edit, complete, cancel, and delete actions.
Why this is better than rebuilding Beacon
Use:
- Beacon: actual attendance-driven scheduled events
- Guild Operations Board: officer planning and weekly objectives
- Group Finder: groups forming now
- Announcements: recurring schedule summaries
- Analytics: Discord participation
The custom plugin should fill the gap between those tools, not duplicate them.
Where the Marketplace Fits
Before building, browse the YourBot Marketplace.
A maintained plugin may already provide:
- Guild rosters
- PvP attendance
- Event statistics
- Game APIs
- Market tools
- Server status
- Progression tracking
Install an existing plugin when it solves the requirement cleanly.
If a plugin requests access to a Black Desert API or third-party service, review its external domains, requested capabilities, privacy behavior, and support status before installation.
Common Setup Mistakes
Mixing PC and console recruitment
Console supports PlayStation/Xbox cross-play by region. PC is a separate ecosystem.
Using Discord approval as proof of guild membership
Keep @Recruit and @Guild Member separate.
Asking for character name only
Use Family Name in recruitment so officers can identify the member across characters.
Building permanent channels around temporary Node War rules

Frequently Asked Questions
What should a Black Desert guild Discord include?
At minimum: onboarding, guild applications, announcements, general community chat, PvE/Life/PvP discussion, event signups, party finding, voice, and private officer areas.
Should a BDO guild ask for Family Name?
Yes. Family Name is a core identity used on official guild profiles and is more useful for guild administration than relying on one current character name.
Can Black Desert console players play together?
Yes. Pearl Abyss currently supports cross-play between PlayStation and Xbox console players in the same regional server.
Can PC players join the same console guild?
No. Do not treat PC and console as one shared game environment.
Does YourBot Group Finder automatically detect Black Desert?
Not in the currently inspected auto-detection keyword table. Create Black Desert Group Finder templates manually.
Does YourBot Social Feeds already know Black Desert?
Yes. The current curated catalog includes Black Desert as a Steam News source with App ID 582660.
How often does the Steam feed check for updates?
The inspected Steam source defaults to a 900-second polling interval. That is polling, not an instant notification guarantee.
What changed for guilds in 2026?
Pearl Abyss introduced the Guild Fame system, expanded Guild Mission availability, continued Guild League seasons, added new Guild Bosses, and continued updating Node War and Conquest War systems.
Can YourBot track Guild Fame automatically?
Not through the built-in services described here. Use the in-game guild interface as the source of truth unless you install or build a supported integration.
Should Node War attendance be public?
That depends on the guild. Many guilds should keep detailed war availability and role assignments private to members or war leadership.
Do I need a custom plugin?
No. Launch with the built-in services first. Build or install a plugin only when a specific workflow remains missing.
Final Verdict
Black Desert Online guilds benefit from Discord because the game asks the same community to coordinate recruitment, PvE, life skills, PvP, guild missions, bosses, and long-term social activity at the same time.
Start Your Server can establish the permanent foundation: onboarding, guild roles, interest roles, party-finding channels, war planning, officer privacy, voice, and the destinations needed by YourBot services.
Then configure the workflows deliberately:
- Welcome for verification and newcomer roles
- Sentinel for server safety
- Tickets for applications and private reports
- Beacon for Node Wars, Guild League, guild bosses, and planned content
- Group Finder for parties forming now
- Join-to-Create Voice for temporary groups
- Announcements for recurring guild communication
- Social Feeds for Black Desert publisher announcements
- Analytics for Discord community health
- Giveaways for optional social rewards
Keep game-side systems in the game. Discord roles do not grant guild authority, Discord analytics do not measure AP or DP, and a scheduled event does not change a Node War roster.
Use Start Your Server to build the structure, then add the Plugin Builder only when your guild develops an operational need that the built-in services do not already cover.
