How to Build and Run an Albion Online Discord Community With YourBot

Build an Albion Online Discord around the server, activity, equipment, and risk that players are agreeing to—not just the word “guild.” Use YourBot’s Start Your Server to prepare channels, roles, permissions, and supported services, then configure recruitment, compatible groups, scheduled events, temporary voice, and game updates.

That prevents a familiar problem: several people answer an LFG post, but one plays on Albion Asia, another expects a nonlethal activity, and the organizer wants a full-loot expedition on Albion Europe.

This guide follows Waystone Union, a fictional 240-member community whose main guild plays on Albion Europe. It includes a reviewed Start Your Server build and manual configuration for all ten YourBot services. An established Discord can retain its current channels and begin with the service sections.

Start With the Right Albion Online Community Model

Match the regional server before the device

Albion has three regional game worlds: Albion Americas, Albion Europe, and Albion Asia. These are not interchangeable matchmaking regions. Sandbox Interactive describes Europe as independent from the other worlds; the same announcement records the renaming of West to Americas and East to Asia. Use the official regional-server explanation when helping returning players interpret older guides.

Cross-platform play is a different question. Desktop and mobile players can play together on their selected server, and Xbox Series X|S joined that shared ecosystem on April 21, 2026. The Xbox launch announcement confirms that this is the full game on shared servers, with existing character progress available through the supported account-linking process.

Your Discord therefore needs the actual Albion server on every listing. Platform is useful for controls, voice, and troubleshooting, but an Xbox player and a desktop player on Europe do not need separate LFG communities. Conversely, two PC players on different Albion servers cannot form the same in-game party simply because they share a Discord.

Equipment defines the role somebody can play tonight

Albion’s combat is classless: equipment determines abilities and the role a player can perform. Its player-driven economy also makes gathering, crafting, trading, and transport meaningful community activities, not side topics. Sandbox Interactive’s game overview explains both foundations.

Use Tank, Healer, Damage, Support, and Flexible as play preferences. Here, Support can mean utility rather than healing. A member selecting Healer has expressed an interest; they have not demonstrated that tonight’s character can equip the requested build.

For organized content, confirm the actual equipment, abilities, experience, and Item Power requirements. Do not turn a Discord role into permanent class assignment or automatic approval for an expensive expedition.

Explain what can be lost

A useful risk description is more precise than “PvE” or “PvP.” A group can intend to fight monsters while traveling through an area where other players can attack it.

Activity environment What the briefing should explain
Ordinary blue/yellow-zone learning The relevant flagging rules, knockdowns, and possible durability costs
Red/black-zone activity Full-loot exposure, affordable equipment, and the agreed loss policy
The Depths Orange PvP: equipped gear is retained on death, but inventory items are lost
Instanced PvP The exact mode, team size, and lethal or nonlethal variant
Specialized PvE Access requirements, party size, and whether the route differs from the destination’s rules

Sandbox Interactive’s zones and flagging guide explains the ordinary zone distinctions. The later Depths documentation adds Orange PvP, which sits between knockdown and full-loot systems. Do not describe that mode as “nothing to lose.”

Check the actual destination and its current rules before departure. “Beginner-friendly” should describe the teaching approach, not conceal equipment or inventory risk.

Keep current content in the plan, not the channel names

As of September 20, 2026, Dragonfire is live, and Guild Season 34 began September 12. The update adds the Ancient Lands and the 20-player Dragon Sanctuary, while the season incorporates the new challenges into guild activity. See the Dragonfire launch announcement and Season 34 announcement.

Use enduring spaces such as #guild-events and #build-library, with dated event posts and update threads. A new season should require refreshed information, not a replacement Discord.

The Community We Will Build

Waystone Union uses Fort Sterling on Albion Europe as its main organizing base. Its Discord welcomes guild applicants, occasional teammates, crafters, gatherers, and solo players who want company without joining every group activity.

Its regular program starts with accessible learning sessions, five-person PvE outings, small-team PvP, and guild preparation. Larger expeditions and Dragon Sanctuary runs are opt-in activities for reviewed rosters—not automatic assignments for every newcomer.

Service Waystone Union’s use
Welcome Verification, server and activity interests, optional newcomer buddies
Sentinel Discord moderation, cases, member reports, and appeals
Tickets Guild applications, build help, replacement-gear requests, sensitive contact
Group Finder Compatible parties with clear size, equipment, and risk expectations
Beacon Events Teaching sessions, guild gatherings, and planned raid attendance
Join-to-Create Voice Temporary party rooms and controlled guild communication
Announcements Weekly plans and reminders to review current requirements
Social Feeds Albion Online publisher announcements
Analytics Discord participation and retention, with sensitive activity excluded
Giveaways Optional community celebrations with clearly described prizes

These are YourBot’s ten built-in services. Enable the workflows your staff will operate; a giveaway does not need to delay working onboarding or group formation.

1. Create the Foundation With Start Your Server

Sign in with the Discord account that owns the server, select it in YourBot, and open Start Your Server. The builder is owner-only. Check the building as indicator when using a custom bot name and avatar.

The bot needs access to inspect the relevant channels and permission to manage the channels and roles being changed. Put its role above the roles it must manage. The server-builder guide explains the prerequisites.

Copy-ready community brief

Create or reorganize an Albion Online Discord called Waystone Union for
about 240 members. Our main guild plays on Albion Europe and organizes
from Fort Sterling. Desktop, mobile, and Xbox players are welcome.

Make the first journey simple: read the rules, verify, choose the Albion
server and activity interests, then find compatible teammates or get help.

Offer Americas, Europe, and Asia as server interests, but state clearly
that our main guild is on Europe. Every listing must name its game server.
Use Tank, Healer, Damage, Support, and Flexible as equipment-role interests,
not certifications. Include Learning, Gathering, Crafting, Group PvE,
Hellgates, The Depths, Roads, Faction Warfare, Guild Battles, and Guild
Interest where useful. Keep optional alert roles separate.

Separate Member and Applicant from staff-approved Guild Member, Mentor,
Content Leader, Guild Officer, and Moderator access. No staff, treasury,
or private-operation access may be obtained through a self-selected role.

Create one Group Finder listing channel, a coordination forum, event
signups, guild recruitment, a build-library forum, economy discussion,
and beginner help. Keep transport routes, operational plans, application
notes, and reimbursement evidence private to their authorized teams.

Prepare Welcome, Sentinel, Tickets, Group Finder, Beacon Events,
Join-to-Create Voice, Announcements, Social Feeds, Analytics, and Giveaways.
Apply supported settings and identify what still requires manual setup.

Activity size varies. Hellgates use 2- or 5-player teams; the Depths has
2- and 3-player modes; Dragon Sanctuary is a 20-player raid. Our five-person
learning outing is a community choice, not a universal Albion party rule.
Require clear nonlethal, inventory-loss, or full-loot expectations.

Preserve existing channels, roles, and messages. Do not delete or rename
live channels in the first build. Stage additions for staff testing.

Keep detailed activity labels in templates and Forum tags. Separate permanent channels for every weapon, city, region, and dungeon would make this harder to navigate.

Review before applying

Inspect Channels, Roles, and Services, then use See it as for a newcomer, Member, Applicant, Guild Member, and Moderator. Check the support path before verification and the access boundary around guild operations.

Keep deletions unselected, inspect the itemized changes, and resolve relevant safety findings. Afterward, read the build report and download the snapshot. Structural undo does not restore messages from deleted Discord channels.

Announcements schedules and Social Feed subscriptions still require manual creation. Finish those below. The build also does not create an Albion guild, change a character’s server, or issue game permissions.

2. Welcome: Separate Interests From Guild Trust

Open Welcome. Configure button verification in #verify to grant a limited Member role. Keep a route to staff help accessible before broader access.

Use Role Menus for game-server interests, activities, and equipment roles. Allow multiple interests: somebody may gather on mobile, heal on desktop, and maintain characters on different servers. Each group listing still needs one specific destination.

Keep Guild Member, Guild Officer, Content Leader, and Mentor out of self-service menus. A guild tag in a nickname is not sufficient verification.

Welcome to Waystone Union.

Our main guild plays on Albion Europe. Choose your server and activities,
then use #group-listings for teammates or #guild-recruitment to apply.

Before joining a run, check its destination, group size, equipment brief,
and loss rules. Learning groups are labeled; lethal runs are never implied.

Selecting a role does not join the in-game guild or verify your equipment.

Welcome’s existing buddy system can pair newcomers with a configured mentor pool. Do not build another plugin simply to assign a welcoming contact. Keep sensitive advice in the appropriate support workflow rather than a public introduction.

Keep role persistence off initially unless staff have tested the guild-access recheck. A returning former guild member should not automatically recover private operational access.

Test: verify, select several interests, leave and return with a test account, and confirm that no self-service action exposes applications or guild planning.

3. Sentinel: Moderate Conduct, Not Ordinary Full-Loot Gameplay

Open Sentinel, select private logs and authorized moderators, and review link, invite, mention, impersonation, and spam rules. Trial new detection rules in dry-run while staff examine false positives.

Waystone Union’s policy should cover fake account-verification links, cheat advertising, account sales, real-money-trading solicitations, harassment, threats, and doxxing. A player losing a fight is not, by itself, evidence of cheating or Discord misconduct.

Use Sentinel’s reports and appeals for Discord cases. Keep guild loot disputes or replacement-gear requests in their own intake path; they are not automatically moderation offenses.

Do not create public lists of alleged spies or cheaters. Restrict evidence, record the relevant rule and decision, and let a moderator review context. Discord permissions cannot prevent a trusted person from repeating information elsewhere, so minimize what members receive in the first place.

Test: use harmless test messages to check detection, exemptions, case visibility, and the appeal path before enabling stronger automatic actions.

4. Tickets: Route Recruitment, Help, and Regear Separately

Open Tickets and create distinct intake paths with different staff teams.

Guild applications can use a form-only review queue. Ask for the character name, Albion server, usual playing times, preferred activities, equipment roles, and what the applicant expects from a guild. Explain attendance expectations and the guild’s current tax policy before acceptance. A limited Applicant role can represent the Discord process; an officer still completes or confirms membership in-game.

Build and beginner help should go to approved mentors. Ask which activity the member wants to attempt, which equipment they can use, and what replacement budget they are comfortable with. Do not demand public wealth screenshots as admission to beginner sessions.

Regear requests belong to designated officers. Here, regear means a guild’s agreed replacement-gear or reimbursement arrangement after a qualifying loss. Ask for the event reference, the policy revision used, the submitted evidence, and the requested resolution. A ticket is a request, not an automatic promise to replace everything.

Sensitive staff contact belongs to moderators or another explicitly authorized team—not every mentor and content leader. Keep account passwords, login codes, banking credentials, and payment details out of all forms.

Test: submit each request type as a member. Confirm that a mentor cannot read regear evidence and an applicant cannot read another application. Check transcripts and exports as well as live channels.

5. Group Finder: Match the Server, Risk, and Activity Size

Open Group Finder, connect #group-listings and the coordination forum, and review the setup. Albion Online is not in the inspected automatic game-detection keyword list. Create explicit templates rather than expecting the wizard to infer current Albion activities.

For Waystone Union, begin with Local visibility, a two-hour default expiry, one active listing per member, and a modest posting cooldown. These are community choices. Local means local to the Discord’s listing system; it does not automatically make a post confidential to one guild roster.

Create the first template

In the template editor’s Basic tab, enter:

Template Name: Albion Europe — Group PvE Learning
Game: Albion Online
Default Party Size: 5
Default Expiry (hours): 2
Description: Europe learning group. State destination, risk, meeting city,
reviewed equipment brief, communication needs, and expected session length.

For this particular teaching party, Waystone Union can propose Tank 1, Healer 1, Damage 3 in Slots. That is a chosen composition for its lesson—not a rule applying to every Albion dungeon or PvP team. Keep utility requirements in the description and let the leader review the actual setup.

Use other templates where the game’s rules differ:

Template Target participants Context to record
Group PvE learning 5, chosen for this outing Server, destination, risk, equipment, meeting city
Hellgate duo 2 Lethal/nonlethal, Base Item Power requirement, planned pairing
Hellgate team 5 Variant, composition, gear requirement, session length
Depths duo or trio 2 or 3 Chosen mode, same entry city, inventory-loss warning
Duo Mists 2 Correct duo variant, current access, risk, purpose
Roads or gathering expedition Organizer-defined Route access, party plan, travel risk, loot arrangement
Arena group Match the selected queue Exact mode, current queue eligibility, learning/competitive intent

There is an important correction to older guides: 10v10 Hellgates were removed in the June 30, 2025 Abyssal Depths update. Do not create a current 10v10 template from an old overview. The release patch notes also distinguish Base Item Power entry checks from other equipment measures.

The Depths offers two- and three-player modes, and an individual group must enter from the same city to play together. Meeting in different Antiquarian’s Dens is not equivalent to choosing the same mode. The Depths update overview explains the activity and its inventory-loss rules.

The Mists separates solo and duo play. A solo discussion or coaching session is not a large party entering the solo environment together. Use the Mists explanation to keep that distinction clear.

Publish what people are agreeing to

Albion server: Europe
Activity: Nonlethal 2v2 Hellgate practice
Current group: 1 of 2
Meeting city: Fort Sterling
Equipment: Agreed practice build; confirm current entry requirements in-game
Communication: Listen to Discord; microphone optional for this practice
Session: About 45 minutes
Goal: Learn positioning and review losses without blaming teammates
Expenses: Bring your own equipment and cover normal repair costs

For lethal expeditions, explicitly replace the risk line and state the replacement policy. Never quietly change a nonlethal listing into a full-loot outing after people join.

Set the total target size, not the vacancies alone. Keep existing teammates and the participant display consistent. Move sensitive routes, cargo details, and guild staging information to a separately controlled briefing.

Test: fill a two-player listing, check joining and leaving, let a test listing expire, and verify the coordination thread and alerts. A YourBot signup does not invite the character, inspect equipment, or move anyone between Albion servers.

6. Beacon Events: Schedule Teaching Runs and Larger Rosters

Use Beacon Events for planned teaching, guild gatherings, and raid attendance. Group Finder also supports scheduled listings; Waystone Union intentionally gives it individual party recruitment while Beacon owns the community event roster.

Example: five-person learning session

Title: Europe — Group PvE Fundamentals
Category: Dungeon
Max Participants: 5
Signup Options: Tank 1, Healer 1, Damage 3
Destination: #event-signups

Count the teaching leader inside the five places. Explain the meeting city, intended route, equipment brief, and risk in the event description. The leader can take whichever approved slot they are teaching from.

The editor’s Date & Time field uses the organizer’s local timezone. Confirm the resulting Discord time display from another account, and distinguish briefing time from departure time.

Example: Dragon Sanctuary preparation

Dragon Sanctuary is a 20-player PvE raid entered using a Waystone. Sandbox Interactive’s dedicated Dragon Sanctuary explanation says the entrance is for the party and that PvP is absent inside. That does not make every journey to a chosen starting location safe.

Waystone Union’s initial event should be labeled a preparation or teaching run rather than a guaranteed clear:

Title: Europe — Dragon Sanctuary Preparation Run
Category: Raid
Max Participants: 20
Signup Options: Reviewed Participant — capacity 20
Destination: #guild-events

Choose Clear in the signup tree before adding the event’s options. Do not inherit the WoW preset’s tank and healer numbers as an Albion raid composition. The raid leader reviews equipment and assigns the actual composition; the waitlist holds reserves.

State who provides the Waystone, whether an entry contribution is required, the loot agreement, consumable expectations, and what happens if the run cannot start. A caller who is playing occupies one of the twenty places.

For large guild battles, record the planned attendance and the in-game organization separately. A Discord capacity does not override party, alliance, access, or map rules.

Test: fill a small rehearsal event, verify overflow and cancellation, inspect reminders, and confirm that members understand whether their signup is an application, reviewed place, or reserve.

7. Join-to-Create Voice: Separate Casual Parties From Guild Operations

Join-to-Create Voice supports multiple lobbies with their own defaults. Waystone Union can offer a two-person Duo lobby and a five-person Party lobby, alongside a permanent Town Square and a restricted guild room.

In Configuration, review creator ownership, the control panel, ownership transfer, and delete-when-empty. In Lobbies, set each label, category, and user limit. A simple name template such as 🎧 {display_name} is enough.

Choose category inheritance or an allowed-role configuration deliberately. “Temporary” does not mean “only tonight’s roster can enter.” Test the actual permissions for private operations rather than relying on a room name or a lock icon.

Keep important briefings in a durable, access-controlled text destination. An empty temporary voice room is designed to disappear; its chat should not be the only record of the agreed rules.

Allow listening without speaking where the activity permits it. Test desktop, mobile, and Xbox participation before making promises about the voice experience, and avoid requiring a phone user to juggle several simultaneous chats.

Test: create a room, add a teammate, transfer ownership, verify that it remains occupied, and confirm cleanup when empty. Test an unrelated member against the restricted category.

8. Announcements: Publish the Plan Without Broadcasting the Route

Open Announcements, choose #announcements, configure the timezone, and create the schedule manually. Use opt-in Event alerts rather than a server-wide mention.

Waystone Union this week — Albion Europe

Tuesday: Group PvE learning
Thursday: Nonlethal Hellgate practice
Weekend: Guild gathering and reviewed Dragon Sanctuary preparation

Dated signups: #event-signups or the appropriate guild event post
Teammates for today: #group-listings
Equipment and risk requirements: Read the linked brief before joining

Give Beacon responsibility for event-specific reminders and Announcements responsibility for the weekly overview. Do not send duplicate countdowns from both.

Keep route coordinates, valuable cargo, hideout access details, and departure contingencies out of public notices. A public schedule can advertise an activity without revealing the plan needed to intercept it.

Test: send a harmless staff preview and confirm destination, timezone, formatting, and mentions before activating the public schedule.

9. Social Feeds: Select the Existing Albion Online Entry

YourBot’s Social Feeds catalog already contains Albion Online, using Steam App ID 761890 in the MMO category. Select that entry, send it to #albion-updates, and optionally mention Patch Notes.

The inspected Steam adapter requests publisher Steam Community announcements and uses a 900-second default polling interval. That is periodic checking, not guaranteed delivery within fifteen minutes. It also does not cover every forum clarification, service incident, or support article.

The Albion Steam announcement page can supply news to the whole Discord, including members who play through another client. Receiving a Steam-sourced announcement does not require the recipient to use Steam.

Keep ordinary member posting disabled in the feed channel and discuss updates in threads or another channel. Leaders should review relevant official changes before reusing an old equipment brief or queue template. A news feed does not automatically update those plans.

Test: check the game, destination, and mention settings, then observe a new publisher post. Enabling Social Feeds alone does not create the subscription.

10. Analytics: Measure Participation Without Exposing Operations

Configure Analytics with the community timezone, deliberate retention, bots excluded, and exclusions for sensitive support, regear review, guild operations, and automated-feed channels.

Review whether newcomers return, whether learning sessions lead to repeat participation, and whether gathering and crafting members have useful spaces. Compare those observations with actual signups rather than assuming every voice minute represents completed content.

YourBot’s Discord analytics does not establish Fame, specialization, Item Power, kill participation, guild Might, silver balances, or eligibility for reimbursement. Do not turn message counts into a proxy for battlefield contribution or permission to use guild resources.

Public activity displays should also avoid exposing when private operations are assembling. Evaluate what each dashboard, card, and export reveals.

Test: compare an ordinary public interaction with an excluded channel and inspect the result from a nonstaff account.

11. Giveaways: Keep Celebrations Separate From Guild Entitlements

Open Giveaways, restrict hosting to approved organizers, and choose the announcement destination. Describe the actual prize, eligibility, closing time, claim deadline, and delivery method.

Simple options are community merchandise, a legitimate store gift card, or a sponsor-provided item that staff can fulfill. Do not promise account progression, territory rights, guaranteed loot, or automatic game-currency delivery.

Keep giveaways separate from regear decisions. An approved reimbursement request should not become a raffle, and winning a drawing should not grant treasury or officer permissions.

Test: run a clearly labeled staff-only test with no real prize to verify entry, closing, and winner messages.

Let Albion Handle Guild Membership and Equipment Systems

Albion already provides a Guild Finder with recruitment settings and application or open-join workflows. YourBot Tickets can answer questions about culture, schedules, and requirements, but it does not replace the in-game membership action. The Guild Finder feature explanation documents that distinction.

Waystone Union should publish its attendance expectations, current guild tax, access process, and regear policy in understandable language. Explain what is optional and what applies only to a particular operation. A gathering-focused member should not discover an undisclosed mandatory battle schedule after joining.

Likewise, Albion’s Armory now helps players discover equipment combinations using gameplay data, and the game already supports Guild Loadouts. The Radiant Wilds overview describes the Armory; the Beyond the Veil release documents equipping and buying Guild Loadouts.

Use those tools for their intended jobs. Your Discord library should explain why a guild uses a build, what alternatives the leader accepts, and which activity it suits—not claim that YourBot reproduces the Armory’s live recommendations.

When a member leaves, review Discord access and game-side access separately. Removing a Discord role does not revoke guild, island, hideout, or shared-storage permissions in Albion.

Make Equipment Cost, Loot Splits, and Replacement Rules Explicit

A useful activity brief answers three questions before anybody buys equipment: what should I bring, what could I lose, and who pays if something goes wrong?

Record the weapon and armor setup, required abilities, consumables, mount expectations, and allowed substitutions. When stating Item Power, identify whether the requirement is Base Item Power, displayed average Item Power, or an organizer’s preparation target. Avoid copying one mode’s entry threshold into every event.

Equipment-price estimates should include the Albion server, market location, and check date. A quote from another regional economy or an older patch is not a current guarantee. Do not advertise fixed silver-per-hour outcomes.

For lethal content, define whether the run is self-funded or covered by a guild policy, which losses qualify, any reimbursement limit, and the evidence required. State the loot-split method and who records it. Do not imply that a familiar group, PvE objective, or escort makes loss impossible.

Treat changes as decisions requiring notice. A leader switching to a more expensive build or a lethal route should obtain agreement, not silently edit the original post while people are traveling.

Give Solo Players and Crafters a Real Place in the Community

Not every member needs a party. Solo Mists players, gatherers, market participants, and crafters can contribute through discussion, resource guides, mentoring, and planned social sessions.

Albion’s newer 1v1 Arena was introduced as a limited-time ranked mode, separate from the 5v5 Arena. Check its current availability before advertising an event. A shared review session is not two friends queueing together as one 1v1 team. The Radiant Wilds Arena description explains the format.

Start economy discussion with complete requests: server, city, item, quantity, timing, and any agreed handoff. Do not place valuable transport routes or transaction disputes in public LFG. Use private support for sensitive evidence and the game’s own systems for actual exchanges.

For Faction Warfare, record the faction and the intended area’s risk. For Roads travel, confirm the live route and access conditions. A general interest role cannot guarantee compatible flags, portal availability, or transport safety.

Add a Guild Activity Brief Library Only When You Need It

Waystone Union can launch with the built-in services. A custom plugin becomes useful when equipment requirements, loss policies, and approved instructions keep diverging across old messages.

A Guild Activity Brief & Regear Policy Library would preserve those decisions. It would not replace Albion’s Armory, Guild Loadouts, market, guild roster, or treasury. It would also leave attendance to Beacon and individual claims to Tickets.

Check the marketplace for a maintained solution first. Review the actual listing, permissions, support, and data handling rather than assuming an Albion-specific integration exists.

Copy-ready Plugin Builder specification

Build a YourBot SDK plugin called Waystone Activity Briefs.
This is a Discord brief and policy library, not an Albion game integration.

Administrators configure Author, Reviewer, Content Leader, and Guild Officer
roles; a public or member-visible library destination; and a private review
location. Discord server identity and Albion regional server are separate
fields and must never be conflated.

Each activity brief stores:
- title and author
- Albion server: Americas, Europe, or Asia
- activity and exact variant
- organizer-defined target size or documented activity capacity
- source/reference for a game-defined capacity
- equipment-role requirements and named loadout references
- ability choices, consumables, mount notes, allowed substitutions
- Item Power requirement type and value, if applicable
- risk: Nonlethal Knockdown, Inventory Loss, Full Loot, or Needs Review
- travel-risk note separate from destination rules
- estimated duration and communication/accessibility needs
- public meeting city, without sensitive operational routes
- source URLs, tested game version, and last-reviewed date
- loot arrangement and linked regear-policy revision
- optional price estimate, market location, and estimate date
- status: Draft, In Review, Approved, Needs Review, or Archived

Treat equipment, costs, access, and readiness as community-entered facts.
Never fabricate a working loadout code or imply a price is live.

Store regear policies as versioned documents: eligibility, qualifying
activities, exclusions, contribution requirements, reimbursement limits,
evidence instructions, and the authorized decision-maker.
Do not accept or pay claims; link to the existing Tickets intake instead.
Do not create another RSVP system. Allow a link to a Beacon event or group
listing, and attach a fixed approved brief revision to that session.

Keep public/member instructions separate from private leader notes.
Check current role authorization server-side on commands, dashboard views,
direct record access, and exports. Ordinary membership or a self-selected
Albion interest role must not expose private guild information.

Authors propose changes; reviewers approve or request changes. Do not
silently replace instructions attached to an already published session.
Show a changed-requirements notice when a leader selects a newer revision.
Use manual review actions and freshness warnings when records are opened;
do not require a background scheduler in version 1.

No Albion, Steam, Xbox, or email passwords, login codes, tokens, bank
credentials, game-client access, network capture, or automated gameplay.
No live Fame, equipment, killboard, market, guild, or silver-balance access.
No character invites, guild changes, item transfers, reimbursements,
territory actions, or promises that a run is safe or profitable.
Keep external network access disabled. Store source links as text only.

Isolate records by Discord server. Include retention and deletion controls.
Audit revisions and decisions without retaining deleted private notes in
an unlimited audit copy. Defuse unsafe mentions in member-provided text.

Provide a searchable dashboard and suggested /albion-brief actions for
submit, browse, view, revise, approve, and archive using supported SDK
command definitions.

Include tests for revoked roles, cross-server record access, exports,
private-note leakage, stale prices, a nonlethal-to-lethal revision,
changed regear terms, and an event pinned to an older approved brief.

Review, test, and continue through the SDK

Use Plugin Builder to review the plan, generated source, manifest, commands, and capabilities. Resolve validation findings before a development installation. The documented development installs expire after 24 hours; use that period for testing, not as the permanent operating arrangement.

Create synthetic briefs rather than uploading real routes or private guild records. Test as an author, ordinary member, unrelated mentor, reviewer, content leader, and administrator. Remove a reviewer’s role and repeat the direct-access and export tests. Hidden buttons alone are not an authorization check.

A developer can continue the same folder in Visual Studio Code, select a project Python environment, install yourbot-sdk and declared dependencies, and run yourbot validate and yourbot dev. Follow the SDK quick start; the generated project remains a YourBot plugin, not a replacement standalone Discord bot.

Upload the tested version through the Dev Portal’s ZIP or supported GitHub workflow, then follow the applicable review and installation process. Marketplace publication is a distribution decision. Passing validation does not establish correct privacy, accurate Albion requirements, or a successful game session.

Run a Complete First-Week Member Journey

Before announcing the new setup, rehearse it with ordinary accounts and a small group of volunteers.

Day Scenario Successful result
1 New mobile player joins They choose Europe and Learning, find help, and cannot see private guild plans.
2 Two members arrange Hellgates The listing shows two total players, the exact variant, meeting city, and current requirements.
3 A mentor leads group PvE The mentor occupies one of the five planned places; risk and equipment are understood before departure.
4 An applicant joins the guild Discord review and the actual in-game membership step are both completed deliberately.
5 A publisher update arrives Staff identify relevant changes and flag affected briefs for review rather than silently altering them.
6 A guild raid assembles The roster, Waystone provider, equipment, loot rules, and reserves are clear; game access is checked separately.
7 Staff review the week They correct confusing instructions, failed joins, duplicate reminders, and access mistakes before expanding.

Also test an Americas player trying to join a Europe listing, a departing guild member, and a returning member with persisted roles. These are ordinary edge cases, not rare emergencies.

Compare what members agreed to with what happened. Did a “learning” session feel rushed? Did a price estimate become a surprise bill? Did somebody think a signup guaranteed reimbursement? Improve the written expectations before adding another feature.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one Discord serve desktop, mobile, and Xbox players?

Yes. Albion supports shared play across those platforms. Every actual group still needs compatible characters on the same Albion regional server. Device choice and regional-world choice are different decisions.

Should every member have a permanent class role?

No. Equipment determines Albion’s combat role. Self-selected Tank, Healer, Damage, Support, or Flexible interests help recruitment, but the leader must confirm the build required for the actual activity.

Are all activities either completely safe or full loot?

No. The Depths uses Orange PvP, with inventory loss while equipped gear is retained. Nonlethal knockdowns can also involve durability costs. Describe the exact activity and route rather than relying on a blanket “safe” label.

Should we offer 10v10 Hellgate groups?

Not based on old guides. The Abyssal Depths release notes removed that format. Use current two- and five-player Hellgate templates and recheck official changes before adding new variants.

Can YourBot verify Fame, guild membership, or a regear claim?

The built-in workflows described here do not verify those game facts. Staff can review applications and evidence, while any future live-data integration would need a separately verified interface, permission model, and security review.

Is the custom brief library required to launch?

No. Begin with onboarding, compatible groups, events, voice, moderation, and support. Add the library when versioned instructions and policy consistency become a recurring need.

Build Around Compatible Players and Informed Decisions

A useful Albion Online Discord gets two Hellgate partners onto the same regional server, gives a newcomer a clearly explained first outing, and helps a guild assemble a prepared roster without hiding the cost of a loss.

Start Your Server prepares the foundation. YourBot’s built-in services run the surrounding Discord workflows. Albion remains responsible for characters, equipment, guild permissions, markets, combat, and rewards.

Start your community setup, test the complete member journey, and extend the same bot with a focused Plugin Builder project when your guild’s operating needs justify it.
