STEP 1

Run setup

The wizard creates a Social Alerts category with #patches, #streams and #creator-posts, read-only for members. Starter packs add whole bundles of feeds in one click.

STEP 2

Add a feed

Pick a source, a streamer, a channel, a subreddit, a repo, a status page or any RSS URL, or pick from the catalog. Choose where it posts.

STEP 3

Shape the message

Your own text with placeholders, an embed with your colour, a role ping, a digest interval, and keyword filters. Preview it before saving.

STEP 4

It posts on its own

Each source is polled on its own cadence. Stream alerts refresh while live and tidy themselves up when the stream ends.

Sources

Eight you can point at anything, and eight more curated ones behind catalog tiles.

Live streams. Twitch live status, through the platform's own Twitch connection.

YouTube uploads. A channel's new videos, from its public feed, no API key.

Bluesky posts. Any account's public feed.

Any RSS or Atom feed. Blogs, news sites, podcasts, anything with a feed URL.

Reddit. Any subreddit or search as a feed.

GitHub releases. New releases for any repository.

Steam news. Patch notes for any Steam app by ID.

Status pages. Incidents from any Statuspage-hosted status site, including Discord's own, as they move from investigating to resolved.

Game patch notes. League of Legends, Valorant, Fortnite, Minecraft Java and Bedrock, Guild Wars 2 and FFXIV, each from its publisher's site, plus Anthropic's news, all through the catalog.

A catalog of 98. 62 Steam games, 9 other games, 17 AI tools and vendors, 6 GPU and driver feeds, and 4 platform feeds including Discord Status and YourBot's own changelog. Add several at once.

Where and how it posts

Not just a channel.

Channel, thread or forum. Threads get each item as a reply. Forums get a new post per item, with the forum tags you choose.

Publish to followers. In an announcement channel, each post can be published, within Discord's 10 per hour.

As the bot or as a webhook. Give a feed its own name and avatar. The webhook URL is stored as a secret, never in the feed record.

Role pings, everyone off by default. Pick the roles to mention. Everyone and here have their own switch.

Digests. Instead of one message per item, one message every 15 minutes, hour, 6 hours or 24 hours, listing up to 25 items with a count of any extras.

Keyword filters. Only post if it mentions, and never post if it mentions. Exclude always wins, and a filtered item still moves the cursor so nothing floods later.

The message

Every feed has a default template. Every one can be rewritten.

Twelve placeholders. {title}, {url}, {body}, {display_name}, {source}, {author}, {game}, {viewers}, {published_at}, {role_mention}, {mentions} and {thumbnail}.

An embed editor. On or off, a colour or the source's own brand colour, a title prefix, footer text, and switches for the author line, body, thumbnail and hero image.

Twitch extras. Game and viewer fields on Twitch alerts.

A real preview. The edit page renders the exact Discord message the form would produce, using a recent item where the source is cheap to fetch. It never posts.

Live stream alerts

A Twitch stream gets a whole lifecycle, not one message.

One alert per stream. Posted when the stream starts, and refreshed in place every 5 minutes by default with the current title, game and viewers, without pinging again.

Four endings. When the stream ends: keep the alert, edit it with the duration, peak viewers and a VOD link once Twitch publishes it, delete it, or post a short offline message.

A game filter. Only alert when the stream is in the games you list.

A live role. Give a member a role while their stream is live and take it back after.

Faster with EventSub. When the platform has Twitch EventSub configured, go-live events arrive as pushes and the next check runs at once.

Reliability

Feeds break. The dashboard tells you and gives you the fix.

Test posts for real. Fetches the source now and posts the newest item that passes your filters, exactly as the poll would.

Skip to current. Marks the newest item as seen so only future items post. The fix for a backlog after a filter change.

Pauses after 5 failures. The feed is disabled, the owner is told once a day, and Reset clears it.

History. The last 100 items a feed posted, with the delivery method and a jump link into Discord.

Catalog resync. Repairs catalog feeds whose source changed, without touching feeds you customised.

Every feed grouped by category, with edit, history, enable or disable, reset, skip to current, test and delete.

Setup

Create or repair the channels, six starter packs, and catalog resync.

Runs on its own

Polled every 30 seconds. The loop picks up due feeds in batches and fetches up to five at a time.

Each source has its own pace. Streams every 2 minutes, status pages and Bluesky every 5, YouTube, RSS, Steam and GitHub every 15, Reddit and most patch notes every 30, Minecraft hourly. You can slow any of them down.

Digests flush on their interval. The clock starts with the first item queued.

History trims itself. The newest 200 items per feed and nothing older than 90 days.

Shared rate budgets. Each source type has a global request budget so one server cannot starve another.

Announcements

For posts you write yourself on a schedule rather than posts pulled from a source.

Safety and permissions

Every fetch is checked. Feed URLs must be public http or https, every redirect hop is re-checked, private and cloud-internal addresses are refused, and responses stop at 8 MB.

No forged pings. Mentions are built from the roles you chose, never from text in the feed, so a hostile source cannot ping your server.

Channels must be yours. Checked when you save and again before every post.

Webhook URLs are secrets. Stored in the tenant secret store and never logged.

Managers only. Every change needs the manager role for the server.

Signed pushes. Twitch push notifications are verified with a signature and rejected after 10 minutes.

What it does not do

Worth knowing before you set it up. If one of these matters to you, the marketplace may have a plugin that covers it.

No X, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook.
No YouTube go-live alerts, clips or Shorts filtering. YouTube is uploads only.
No Kick alerts, and no per-server Twitch keys. Twitch alerts use the platform's credentials.
No edits when a source edits or deletes an item. Only the live stream alert is updated after posting.
No summaries or translation. Content is reformatted, not rewritten.
No slash commands. Everything is set on the web.
No content scanning. Your keyword filters are the only content control.

Perguntas

How fast is a live alert?

Twitch is checked every 2 minutes by default, and can go down to every minute. With Twitch EventSub configured on the platform, the go-live push triggers a check at once.

Can I stop a feed pinging everyone?

Everyone and here are off unless you switch them on for that feed. Role pings are the roles you pick.

Can one channel get one round-up instead of many posts?

Yes. Set a digest interval and the feed posts one message per interval with up to 25 items.

Why did a feed stop?

After 5 failures in a row it pauses and the owner is told. Reset re-enables it. If the source moved, Skip to current stops it replaying old items.

Can I add a game that is not in the catalog?

If it has a Steam app ID, an RSS feed, a subreddit or a GitHub repo, yes, through the matching source form.

Do posts look like they come from my community?

Post as a webhook and give the feed its own name and avatar.
