What the bot needs

Group Finder is granted these permissions by the invite link. A command that finds one missing replies privately with what it could not do and changes nothing.

Creates a listing from a built-in preset with two words, for example /group quick mythic+ 15. activity picks the preset and details fills in the title. If Group Finder is switched off for the server the reply is Group Finder is not enabled on this server.

The same limits as /group create apply, checked in this order: a posting suspension (You are suspended from posting listings until and when it lifts), Active listings per member (You already have {count} active listing(s) (max {max}).), the Create cooldown (You can create another listing in **{secs}s**.), the Minimum account age, and Blocked words, which are checked against the activity and details together.

Presets:

  • mythic+ or m+: title Mythic+ {details}, roles Tank 1, Healer 1, DPS 3, party of 5, open 2 hours, difficulty Farm.
  • raid: title Raid plus details, roles Tank 2, Healer 4, DPS 14, party of 20, open 4 hours, difficulty Prog.
  • dungeon: title Dungeon plus details, roles Tank 1, Healer 1, DPS 3, party of 5, open 2 hours.
  • arena: title Arena {details}, no roles, party of 3, open 1 hour. Details containing 2v2 or 2s make it Arena 2v2 with a party of 2; 3v3 or 3s make it Arena 3v3 with a party of 3.
  • pvp: title PvP plus details, no roles, party of 5, open 2 hours.
  • Anything else creates a plain listing titled with your activity and details, party of 5, open 2 hours.

Hours are capped by the server's Longest expiry. The activity becomes the listing's game and the description reads Quick group: {activity} {details}. Quick listings are always local, use no template, and are open-join unless the server has Leaders approve joins on. You are added as leader.

The card is posted in the listing channel, or in the channel you typed in when none is set, and the reply is **{title}** is live! or **{title}** posted to <#channel>! Alert subscribers with matching filters are notified and a forum thread is created when the server uses forum threads.

Good to know

  • Quick listings cannot take a start time, a repeat rule, network visibility or a voice requirement. Use /group create for those.
  • Unlike /group create, posting in a channel does not make it the server's listing channel, and no game pings are sent.
