Sentinel settings

The Sentinel settings, from the typed spec the dashboard form and the AI server builder share. Accepted range is what the settings writer takes; where the form or the service is stricter, the description says so. Controls that exist only on the dashboard form are listed at the end.

Core
Moderation log channel`log_channel_id`	channel		Moderation actions, automod hits, purges, slowmode and lockdown changes, raid mode changes, watchlist changes, risk alerts and high-risk report alerts are posted here as cards. Staff notes are not. Empty by default: nothing is then posted in Discord, but cases are still recorded on the dashboard. The setup wizard creates #sentinel-logs and fills this in. The dashboard health check flags moderation log while this is empty or points at something deleted.
Quarantine role`quarantine_role_id`	role		The role /quarantine, auto-quarantine and raid mode give a member. Should remove access to your channels. The dashboard health check flags quarantine role while this is empty or points at something deleted.
Moderator roles`mod_role_ids`	list of roles		Roles treated as staff. Their members can run the moderation commands, are skipped by automod rules, never trigger risk alerts, and are the roles mentioned by high-risk alerts. Empty by default: only Administrators can then run the staff commands. The dashboard health check flags moderator roles while this is empty or points at something deleted.
Warning expiry`warn_expiry_days`	whole number	1 to 365	Days a warning stays active, 30 by default. After that it is marked expired and the member's warning count goes down. The case itself is kept. The Settings page accepts 1 to 365.
Dry run everything`dry_run_all`	on or off		Automod logs what it would have done and takes no action, for every rule at once.
Point decay per day`point_decay_per_day`	whole number	0 to 100	Warning points taken off every member's total once a day, 0 by default (no decay). Fractions round to a whole point, so 0.5 counts as 1. Decay runs whether or not the member had new incidents. Warning points feed the risk score and the report triage score.
Message context retention`message_context_retention_days`	whole number	1 to 90	Days the messages around a case or report are kept for staff review before they are deleted.
Direct messages
DM on warn`dm_on_warn`	on or off		Sends the member a direct message when they are warned.
DM on timeout`dm_on_timeout`	on or off		Sends the member a direct message when they are timed out.
DM on kick`dm_on_kick`	on or off		Sends the member a direct message once the kick has gone through (on by default). The same switch covers the message sent to a member before a softban.
DM on ban`dm_on_ban`	on or off		Sends the member a direct message just before they are banned (on by default). A user who is not in the server, such as a ban by ID, gets no message.
Warn DM text`dm_template_warn`	text	up to 1900 characters	The message sent on a warning. {server}, {reason}, {case} and {moderator} are filled in. Default: "You have received a warning in {server}: {reason}". When {case} is not used, a line telling the member how to appeal with the case number is added, plus a web appeal link when one exists. Clearing the box restores the default.
Timeout DM text`dm_template_timeout`	text	up to 1900 characters	The message sent on a timeout. {server}, {reason}, {duration}, {case} and {moderator} are filled in. Default: "You have been timed out in {server} for {duration}: {reason}". The appeal hint is added as for warnings. Clearing the box restores the default.
Kick DM text`dm_template_kick`	text	up to 1900 characters	The message sent after a kick, and before a softban. {server}, {reason} and {moderator} are filled in. Default: "You have been kicked from {server}: {reason}". A web appeal link is added when one exists. Clearing the box restores the default.
Ban DM text`dm_template_ban`	text	up to 1900 characters	The message sent before a ban to a member who is still in the server. {server}, {reason} and {moderator} are filled in. Default: "You have been banned from {server}: {reason}". A web appeal link is added when one exists. Clearing the box restores the default.
Raid mode
Join threshold`raid_join_threshold`	whole number	3 to 100	Joins within one minute that switch raid mode to hard by itself, 10 by default. The same number decides whether soft mode escalates to hard after two minutes.
Action during a raid`raid_join_action`	text	up to 32 characters	What happens to each member who joins while raid mode is hard: quarantine (default), kick or ban. Lockdown mode kicks every join regardless, and soft mode leaves joins alone. The same action is applied to the members of a detected look-alike join raid. Not on the Settings page: only the AI setup and server templates write it.
Auto switch-off`raid_auto_deactivate_minutes`	whole number	5 to 1440	Minutes after raid mode was switched on before it turns itself off, 30 by default. 0 keeps it on until someone turns it off. The countdown starts when the mode was activated, not at the last join. The same value times the anti-nuke panic lockdown.
Reports
Context messages per report`report_context_messages`	whole number	0 to 50	How many of the latest messages in the channel where /report was run are saved with the report, from every author, plus a jump link to the reported member's latest message there. 30 by default, at most 50, 0 saves none. Report Message saves only the reported message.
Auto-escalate above`report_auto_escalate_above`	whole number	0 to 100	A new report whose triage score is at or above this number posts a priority alert in the moderation log channel that mentions the moderator roles. The score comes from the reported member's warning points, other pending reports in the last 24 hours, prior cases, a young account and flagged words, reduced for reporters whose past reports were mostly dismissed. The report still appears on the Reports page. Empty or 0 turns it off (the default); it also needs a moderation log channel.
Tell the reporter`dm_reporter_on_report_resolve`	on or off		Sends the member who filed a report a DM when staff resolve or dismiss it.
Report resolved DM text`dm_template_report_resolved`	text	up to 1900 characters	The message a reporter gets when their report is marked Reviewed. Empty by default, which sends "Thanks for your report. A moderator has reviewed it." No placeholders are filled in.
Report dismissed DM text`dm_template_report_dismissed`	text	up to 1900 characters	The message a reporter gets when their report is marked Dismissed. Empty by default, which sends "Thanks for your report. A moderator has reviewed it and determined no further action is needed." No placeholders are filled in.
Risk scoring
Track band`risk_band_track`	whole number	1 to 1000	Risk score from which a member is worth tracking. The bands rise in order: track, caution, high, critical.
Caution band`risk_band_caution`	whole number	1 to 1000	Score from which a member is shown as a caution in the mod log and cases.
High band`risk_band_high`	whole number	1 to 1000	Score from which a member is treated as high risk.
Critical band`risk_band_critical`	whole number	1 to 1000	Score from which a member is critical. Auto-quarantine can act at this band.
Auto-quarantine at critical`risk_auto_quarantine_critical`	on or off		Gives a member the quarantine role as soon as they reach the critical band. Needs the quarantine role.
Auto-watchlist at track`risk_auto_watchlist_track`	on or off		Adds a member to the watchlist when they reach the track band.
Log the caution band`risk_modlog_caution`	on or off		Posts to the moderation log when a member enters the caution band.
Ping staff at high`risk_modlog_ping_high`	on or off		Mentions the moderator roles in the log when a member enters the high band.
Alert debounce`risk_alert_debounce_hours`	whole number	1 to 168	Hours during which the same member is not alerted on again at the same or a lower band, 24 by default, 1 to 168. A rise into a higher band still alerts.
