ServerStats calls itself the biggest Discord stats bot, and it does one thing: counters. By its own count it runs on millions of servers and updates around a million counters every day. Type /setup, choose a channel and a template, and your channel list starts showing live numbers, with more than 35 counter types for members, bots, channels by type, roles, emojis, stickers, boosts and the boost tier. Its site makes a point of how easy editing is: rename the channel in Discord and keep a number in the name, and that number keeps updating with no command needed. It writes numbers as 1,211 or 1.21K. Around the counters sit goal counters, social counters for four platforms, game counters for 32 games, a welcome channel, seven info commands for servers, members, roles, channels, invites, emojis and avatars and a /check command that looks for common counter and permission mistakes.
The structural fact that shapes this page is how little ServerStats keeps. Its privacy policy says it stores your server and channel IDs, the settings you configure and the user IDs of premium subscribers and voters, and that member counts and other server metrics live only in a temporary cache that is never written to its database. That is a real privacy strength, and it also means there is no history behind the counters: its pages document no charts, dashboards or leaderboards, and its website is, in its own words, an informational site. Premium is sold through Patreon, in tiers by how many servers they cover, and each tier unlocks the premium counters through a second bot, ServerStatsPremium.
YourBot's counter channels are part of Analytics, one of ten core services that run free on every server with no feature paywall, next to Sentinel moderation, Tickets, Beacon Events, Group Finder, Join-to-Create Voice, Welcome, Announcements, Giveaways and Social Feeds. Everything the rest of this page describes on the YourBot side, the 20 counter kinds, goals, /counter, /info and the dashboards behind them, is included on the shared bot. Premium, billed per server, adds a bot under your own name, the open marketplace of plugins from independent developers and the Plugin Builder.
The short version
- Pick ServerStats if counters are all you want from a bot and you want it to keep as little data as possible. It is also the one to check for follower counters on platforms other than Bluesky and for game counters outside Minecraft, FiveM and Steam.
- Pick YourBot if you want every counter free, status and ban counts included, in the same bot that moderates the server, runs the tickets and posts the events, with a dashboard, a live preview and up to a year of activity data behind the numbers.
- Both bots can share a server, so the safe move is to build the same counters in YourBot next to the ones you have and keep whichever set you prefer.
How the two are built
ServerStats is a first-party counter bot, run by its own team on what its Patreon page calls multiple dedicated servers. Its pages describe counters, info commands and a welcome channel, and nothing on them describes moderation, tickets, events, giveaways, temporary voice channels, custom commands, a stats history, a web dashboard, a way to run it under your own name or a way for outside developers to add to it. That is its scope, not a gap: it is a counter bot and says so.
YourBot is one bot whose features are plugins. Counters live inside Analytics, one of the ten built in, and the marketplace is where independent developers publish the rest, each running sandboxed with no network access and reviewed before it ships. So the honest comparison is ServerStats against one part of one YourBot service, with the rest as the reason to prefer the bundle.
What the counters count
ServerStats names its counters one variant at a time. Its Patreon page lists 20 free ones, among them members, bots, pending members, channels, text, voice and announcement channels, categories, roles, members in a role, members with no role, emojis, still and animated emojis, stickers, boosts and the boost tier. Eleven more are premium, among them online, idle, do-not-disturb and offline members, online members in a role, online bots, members streaming or playing and bans. Goal, social and game counters sit alongside, and its site puts the total at over 35.
YourBot groups the same kind of facts into 20 counter kinds with options, so one Emojis kind counts all, still or animated emojis and one Channels kind counts all channels or only text, announcement, forum, voice or stage channels or categories, optionally only inside chosen categories. The kinds are members (people, bots or everyone), members with chosen roles, members in voice, members by status or by what they play, stream or listen to, members without a role or still in rules screening, channels, roles, emojis, stickers, boosts and the boost level, bans, followers, game players, a clock, a countdown, an activity count or change over 1, 7 or 30 days and the top member or channel. All of them are free. Status and activity counters read presence, so they need the bot's Presence intent, and a ban counter needs the Ban Members permission.
Setting counters up and editing them
ServerStats starts with /setup, where you choose a channel and a template. /counter create adds more, /counter list shows the counters available and /category makes a category to hold them. To reword a counter you edit the channel's name in Discord and keep a number in it, and that number is the one it updates. /check looks over every counter and the bot's permissions for common mistakes, and /reset starts over.
YourBot works from Discord and from the dashboard. /counter setup makes a Server Stats category with counters for all members, people and bots, and Quick setup on the Counters page does the same in one click. /counter create offers presets while /counter list and /counter delete manage what you have. /counter check names whatever would stop a counter from updating. On the dashboard you can create a new channel, in a category if you like, or attach counters to a voice or text channel you already have, with a preview line before you save, and up to four counters can share one channel name through a template such as {1} members, {2} online. Renaming a counter channel in Discord rewords it the way ServerStats does: the first number in the new name is the one the bot keeps updated.
Updates and number styles
Discord limits any bot to two renames per channel every ten minutes. ServerStats says its counters update automatically with the delay Discord requires. YourBot renames each counter channel at most once per six-minute slot, so a clock counter moves in six-minute steps. ServerStats writes numbers as 1,211 or 1.21K; a numeric YourBot counter reads 1,234, 1.2K or 1234, your pick per counter.
Goals
ServerStats has goal counters, set up and managed with /goal. YourBot puts a goal on a member, status, boost or follower counter, so it reads 1,204 / 2,000. When the goal is reached the bot can post your message once in a channel you pick and raise the goal by a step you choose, so the next target is set without you.
Followers and game players
ServerStats' social counters support four platforms and its game counters support 32 games; its pages do not name them. YourBot's Followers counter reads the followers of a Bluesky account. Its Game players counter reads a Minecraft Java or Bedrock server, a FiveM server or everyone playing a Steam game right now, can show players against slots and shows your own text when a server is offline. If you need followers from another platform, ServerStats covers four, so check that yours is one of them.
Info commands and welcome
Both bots answer the same questions about Discord itself. ServerStats has /serverinfo, /userinfo, /roleinfo, /channelinfo, /inviteinfo, /emojiinfo and /avatar. YourBot has /info server, user, role, channel, invite, emoji and avatar: one command name with seven parts instead of seven names in your members' command list. ServerStats also manages a welcome channel with /welcome. YourBot's Welcome is a service of its own, with rotating welcome and goodbye messages, a welcome card, auto-roles, role persistence, a verification gate and member milestones.
Beyond the counters
This is the widest gap, and it runs one way. ServerStats' privacy policy says the metrics behind its counters are cached and never stored, and its pages document no stats history or charts. The counters are the product.
YourBot's counters sit on top of Analytics, which counts messages, voice, joins, leaves, reactions and threads, never message content. It keeps them for the window you set, from 7 to 365 days, and imports up to a year of message history at setup. That feeds 16 dashboard pages, from weekly retention cohorts and a churn-risk list to a 7x24 heatmap and leaderboards, plus Role Rewards that grant roles from activity, alerts when a metric moves, CSV exports, a dashboard you can open to members or the public and an API. The activity counters use the same numbers: messages or voice hours over the last 1, 7 or 30 days, the change against the period before or the top member or channel.
Privacy
ServerStats stores very little: server and channel IDs, the settings you configure and the IDs of premium subscribers and voters. /data sends you everything it holds about your server, and /reset or removing the bot deletes it. Its website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
YourBot's Analytics stores more, because charts need history: counts, IDs, timestamps and cached display names, never message content. Members can opt out of appearing on stats cards. If a bot that keeps next to nothing is the priority, that is a point for ServerStats.
Hosting and plans
ServerStats is hosted by its team under its own name and avatar. Premium is sold through Patreon, in tiers by how many servers they cover, works through the second ServerStatsPremium bot and asks subscribers to join the ServerStats support server. No self-hosted, bring-your-own-token or custom-branded option is documented.
YourBot's shared bot runs all ten services free with no feature paywall, counters included. Premium, billed per server, runs a custom bot under your own application, name, avatar and presence as its own process, hosted and restarted for you, and adds the marketplace, the Plugin Builder, 50 lifetime Start Your Server designs and premium support.
Switching
Invite YourBot next to ServerStats and enable Analytics. Run /counter setup or open the Counters page, rebuild the counters you use and watch both sets for a week. When YourBot's show what you want, delete the ServerStats channels and remove the bot, or keep both. Nothing forces the choice.

Häufig gestellte Fragen
What is the best alternative to ServerStats?
YourBot's counter channels: 20 kinds with status and ban counters free, goals that post a message, /counter and /info commands and a dashboard with a live preview, in the same free bot as moderation, tickets and events. ServerStats remains the better pick if counters are all you want and you want the bot to keep as little data as possible.
Does YourBot have the same counters as ServerStats?
It counts the same kinds of Discord facts: members, bots, pending members, channels by type, categories, roles, members in a role or with no role, emojis, stickers, boosts, the boost level, members by status or activity and bans. ServerStats names more than 35 counters, one per variant; YourBot groups them into 20 kinds with options and adds a clock, a countdown and activity counters. Follower and game sources differ.
Are status and ban counters free?
On YourBot, yes: members by status and bans are free like every other kind. Status counters need the bot's Presence intent and a ban counter needs Ban Members. On ServerStats, online, idle, do-not-disturb, offline, streaming, playing and bans are premium counters.
Can I edit a counter by renaming the channel?
On both. Rename the channel in Discord and keep a number in the name, and that number is the part that updates. On YourBot it is the first number in the new name.
Does YourBot have a setup command like ServerStats?
Yes. /counter setup creates a Server Stats category with counters for all members, people and bots, and Quick setup on the dashboard does the same. /counter create adds more from presets, and /counter check tells you why a counter is not updating.
Does YourBot have info commands?
Yes. /info server, user, role, channel, invite, emoji and avatar cover the same ground as ServerStats' /serverinfo, /userinfo, /roleinfo, /channelinfo, /inviteinfo, /emojiinfo and /avatar, under one command name.
How often do the counters update?
Discord allows any bot two renames per channel every ten minutes. YourBot renames a counter channel at most once per six-minute slot. ServerStats says its counters update automatically with the delay Discord requires.
What does ServerStats do that YourBot does not?
It keeps almost no data about your server, since its counts are cached and never stored. Its follower counters cover four platforms where YourBot's reads Bluesky, and its game counters cover its own list of 32 games. If those matter, keep ServerStats.
Ist YourBot kostenlos?
Ja.
Can I run ServerStats and YourBot at the same time?
Yes. Both bots can sit in the same server. Build the same counters in YourBot next to the ServerStats ones, watch both for a week and keep whichever set you prefer.
