The best MEE6 alternative

MEE6 is one of the most widely used Discord bots. Moderation, leveling, welcome messages and more ship as first-party features you switch on from one dashboard, and MEE6 calls those features plugins. The open question is who gets to write the next one, because when a server needs something the list does not cover, the usual answer is a second bot, then a third.

YourBot keeps the one-dashboard idea and changes that answer. Every YourBot feature is a plugin. Ten are built in and included with every server, covering moderation, activity analytics, tickets, events, welcome flows, giveaways, temporary voice channels, group finding, scheduled announcements and social feeds. MEE6's plugins are built by MEE6. YourBot's marketplace is open to outside developers: someone builds a plugin, sets their own price and keeps 70% of every sale, rising to 85% as their volume grows, paid out to their own Stripe account. A first-party feature list grows at one company's pace. An open catalog grows at everyone's.

Third-party code is not trusted by default here. A marketplace plugin runs in a locked-down container with no network access at all, a read-only filesystem, zero Linux capabilities and hard memory and CPU limits, and every release is scanned before it can ship: nine unsafe code patterns block an upload outright and an obfuscation-aware analyser scores the rest. What replaces the MEE6 features you actually use

Moderation. Sentinel is the built-in moderation plugin: an automod rules engine with 15 condition types, 9 actions and 3 triggers, plus 11 starter rule templates. It counts joins in a rolling one-minute window and switches the server into raid mode on its own past the threshold you set, then puts your original slowmode and permissions back when it stands down. Members report a bad message by right-clicking it, and anyone you ban can appeal from a web page, because a banned member cannot run a slash command.

Leveling. This is the one to be precise about. YourBot has no XP bar and no level-up message. Analytics ranks members on what they actually did, across 12 leaderboard metrics including messages, voice hours, reactions and threads created, and Role Rewards hands out a Discord role automatically once someone crosses a threshold you set, from 13 metrics including longest message streak. The check runs every 30 minutes and a reward can be revoked if a member drops back below the bar.

Welcome messages. The Welcome plugin sends welcome and goodbye messages with placeholders, renders a real PNG welcome card in one of four built-in styles or on a background image you supply, grants auto-roles on join with an optional delay and posts member-count milestones. One bot, and it can be your own

A custom bot comes with a subscription and runs on your own Discord application, under your own name, avatar and presence, as a dedicated process that YourBot hosts, watches and restarts by itself if it crashes. Your token is encrypted at rest and never shown back to you. If you would rather not set that up, the shared bot runs all ten built-ins under the YourBot name instead. Switching without a hard cutover

Nothing here forces a migration weekend. Plugins ship disabled, so you turn on the ones that cover what you use MEE6 for, run both bots for a week and manage YourBot from one dashboard. Retire the old setup when nothing is missing.
