Discord bots for study and community servers

A study server has a different shape from a gaming server: traffic spikes around deadlines, the membership turns over every term and what people need most is a quiet room plus someone who answers questions. Study rooms that appear when someone needs one

Eight pre-made study rooms means eight empty channels most of the week. Join-to-Create Voice replaces them with a single lobby: a member joins it, the bot gives them their own voice channel and moves them in, then the room deletes itself when the last person leaves. Whoever opened the room owns it, with Manage Channel, Move, Mute and Deafen on that channel alone, so they rename it or cap it at four people using Discord's own controls. Sessions, revision nights and office hours

Beacon Events posts an event with signup buttons instead of a message asking who is free on Thursday. Slots can be capped, and a full event waitlists later signups and promotes them automatically as people drop out. Reminders go to the channel or to a DM before the start, 30 minutes ahead by default, and every time renders in each member's own timezone through Discord's native timestamps. Beacon can open the session's voice channel before it starts and restrict it to people who signed up, and weekly recurrence means a Sunday revision night schedules itself.

A help desk that does not scroll away

Tickets gives you a panel members click, an intake form that asks your questions before a tutor reads anything and a private space for the conversation: a private channel, a private thread or, for applications, a review queue with Accept and Reject buttons and no channel at all. Keeping a public study server safe

Sentinel is the built-in moderation plugin, a rules engine rather than a fixed filter: 15 condition types, 9 actions and 3 triggers. For a server whose invite gets pasted into a class group chat, the conditions that earn their keep are link and invite filtering, account age on join and the built-in phishing blocklist, seeded with 23 known Discord and Steam credential-phishing domains. Join-time triage scores every arrival on account age, avatar, profile and join velocity, then logs, quarantines or kicks. Onboarding, deadlines and whether any of it is working

Welcome covers the first five minutes: a message or a rendered card, auto-roles on join with an optional delay and a Verify button with your rules above it. Self-assign role menus let members pick their own course roles instead of pinging a moderator. Scheduled Announcements handles the deadlines: post once, daily, weekly on any set of days or monthly in a real timezone, with @everyone off unless you turn it on for that post.

Analytics tells you whether the place is actually alive. It counts messages, voice sessions with real durations, joins, leaves, reactions and threads across 13 dashboard pages, and it never stores what anybody said. Voice hours are a first-class metric, so time in the study rooms shows up on the leaderboard, and a Role Reward can grant a role once a member crosses a threshold you set. There is no XP bar and there are no levels, just real activity.

All ten built-in plugins ship with every server and are one switch away in the dashboard, not extra bots to invite.
