Discord bots for streamers

A streamer's Discord has two jobs: tell people when you are live, and stay worth being in when you are not. YourBot covers both from one bot whose features are plugins, so you switch on the parts you need instead of inviting an alert bot, a moderation bot, an events bot and a giveaway bot with four dashboards.

Go-live alerts and upload feeds

Feeds live in the built-in Social & Patches plugin. Seven feed types are pickable directly (Twitch, YouTube, any RSS or Atom feed, Steam news, GitHub releases, Reddit and any Atlassian Statuspage) plus a curated 98-entry catalog of one-click game and tool feeds.

A Twitch feed is a genuine live signal, not a scraped RSS file. YourBot asks Twitch every two minutes by default whether that login is live, adjustable from 30 seconds to a day. When a new stream starts it posts a "YourName is live" line above an embed with your stream title as the link, the game, the current viewer count and the stream preview as the banner. The post is keyed on the Twitch stream id, so you get one announcement per stream however often the feed polls. Going offline posts nothing.

A YouTube feed is a content feed, which is a different promise: it posts new uploads, not a live signal. Paste the channel ID, the @handle or any youtube.com channel URL and YourBot resolves it when you save.

Alerts that ping a role, never the whole server

Each feed can mention exactly one role you pick, usually a notifications role members opt into, and that role is the only mention the bot will resolve. @everyone and @here are switched off on the posting path, and a role mention injected into a feed title cannot fire either. Per-feed keyword filters take an include list and an exclude list (exclude wins), and a feed that fails five checks in a row disables itself. A test-fire button posts the newest item on demand.

When a stream drop lands on your Discord

A wave of joins looks identical whether it is a friendly raid or a bot swarm, which is where Sentinel earns its place. It counts joins in a rolling 60-second window and, past a threshold you set (10 by default), turns on hard raid mode itself. Soft mode puts 10-second slowmode on every text channel. Hard mode raises that to 30 seconds and quarantines, kicks or bans each new arrival as you choose. Lockdown raises Discord's verification level and closes every channel to @everyone. Your original slowmode and permissions are snapshotted first and restored when it stands down on a timer, 30 minutes by default. The automod engine underneath has 15 condition types, 9 actions and 3 triggers, so a link filter that skips your clips channel is a dropdown.

The rest of the stack

Welcome hands new members their roles on join, with an optional delay of up to ten minutes so a join burst can settle, plus a button verification gate. Join-to-Create Voice gives you watch parties without a wall of dead channels: someone joins the lobby, gets their own room with native Discord controls, and it deletes itself when the last person leaves. Beacon Events schedules everything that is not the stream, with button signups, capped role slots, waitlists that promote automatically and reminders. Event times render in each member's own local timezone. Giveaways run supporter draws with five eligibility gates and weighted entries. Analytics tracks joins and leaves per day, the share of new members who post or join voice within 24 hours, plus D1, D7 and D30 retention by weekly cohort, so you can see whether streaming grows the Discord.
