Moderation is a rules engine, not a word list

Sentinel is the built-in moderation plugin. A rule pairs conditions drawn from 15 types (words and phrases, spam rate, mention floods, caps, links, file types, account age, copypasta, emoji spam, newline spam, sticker spam, nicknames, phishing domains, risk score and risk band) with any of 9 actions (delete, warn, timeout, kick, ban, quarantine, alert a channel, DM the member or auto-rename) on 3 triggers: a message, a join or a nickname change. Rules can be scoped to channels, exempt your staff roles and fire only after a set number of warnings.

Eleven rule templates install 18 ready-made rules and three presets set how strict you want to be. The editor tells you whether a sample message would trigger before you save, and log-only mode lets you watch what would have happened for a week before anything bites.

Raids are handled without you: joins are counted in a rolling one-minute window, and past the threshold you set Sentinel puts the server into raid mode itself. The four levels run from off, through slowmode everywhere, to quarantining or kicking each new arrival, up to a lockdown that raises Discord's verification level and closes every channel to @everyone. Your slowmode and permissions go back when it stands down. Every action writes a numbered case, and an automod hit keeps the eleven messages around the trigger as evidence. The marketplace covers what no single vendor would build. A third-party plugin runs in a locked-down container with no network access at all, a read-only filesystem and hard caps on memory and CPU. Every release is scanned before it can ship. You approve each permission it asks for at install, and one that later wants more pauses its own auto-update until you agree. Moderation is Sentinel's job today. As the catalog grows, developers can publish moderation plugins that run beside it.

Reliability you can check

A watchdog checks every two minutes that every custom bot that should be up is up, and restarts a crashed one on a backoff doubling from two seconds to a two-minute ceiling. After five crashes in five minutes it stops retrying, quarantines the bot and sends a critical notice to your dashboard inbox with a link to the cause. Per-service uptime over 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, a 90-day timeline and a 7-day incident history are on the status page, no login required.

Run both bots for a while. Enable the built-ins that cover your current Dyno modules, keep Sentinel in log-only mode until you trust the rules, then retire the old bot when nothing is missing.
